Deer Wood

Hello everyone!  Betsy on the blog here today to share this beautiful card
for the New Year!  WOW!  Where did 2019 go?
This is a beautiful stamp by
IndigoBlu:  Deer Wood

I started by cutting out my main panel to 4" x 5 1/4" and stamping my image with
a medium gray ink.  I wanted to keep this card on the softer side so I opted for the gray
instead of black.  I also die cut 2020 with an alpha/numeric die set.

I knew I need to create more contrast for my stamped image to show up better, so I took a dark gray
colored pencil and went over the deer and the trunks of the trees trying to define the
edges more.  Then I took a slate gray pencil - which was bluer - and made some
shadows underneath the deer's feet and the tree trunks.  This helped to ground them.

I then ink blended the edges with a slate blue ink.

I took an A2 size top folding white card base and covered it with a blue/black
glitter paper.  Then I adhered my inked panel onto of that and added my
numbers for the new year down the side. I misted it with a shimmer spray.
And that completed my card!
