Father's Day King!

Greetings! It's Kathi here. We're celebrating Father's Day on the Topflight Stamps blog this week. I decided to use show the versatility of the We Three Kings Clear Photopolymer Stamp set by Pink Ink Designs. I've used it for a Father's Day card rather than a Christmas card.

Here it is!

I opted to use the largest of the three big penguins included in the set. However, his crown had a fluffy rim under the crown which spoke Christmas to me. I remedied that situation by stamping the penguin's head, including his crown onto a Post-It Note, which was fussy-cut. The penguin stamp was completely cleaned then positioned on my stamp positioner. The Post-It Note mask was placed over the fluffy rim on the stamp, the stamp was inked, the mask was removed, and the image was stamped without the ruffle.

A fine point pen was used to extend the lines from the crown to the the penguin's neck. The image was colored with Copics, matted with purple cardstock, and layered onto some very old patterned paper.

The sentiment, from the absolutely necessaryl Classic Sentiments Clear Stamp Set by Heffy Doodle, was stamped onto scrap of patterned from the same collection, die-cut, and adhered to finish the card.
