Fun with Fungi – Hobby Art Mushroom Card

Hello, Lisa Hoel here! This week our brand focus over at Topflight Stamps is Hobby Art. I love this set called Fungi and I wanted a chance to play with the new Lavinia Dinkles Ink Powder to create some backgrounds.

After creating several Dinkles backgrounds and picking one to use, I stamped the mushrooms with permanent black ink and then watercolored over the top. I'll have to experiment more with ink powder; it's lots of fun to play with!

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out the Topflight Stamps store for a wide selection of different and hard to find stamps, stencils and other paper crafting supplies from all around the world! Also keep an eye on the Topflight Stamps blog. There is new inspiration posted daily!

Happy Birthday!

Greetings! It's Tuesday so you've got Kathi here to share a project with you. This week my teammates and I are showcasing  Hobby Art Ltd..'s wonderful stamps.

Here's my card created with the super-cute Get Your Goat Clear Polymer Stamp Set by Hobby Art Ltd.

Using a stamping platform and Tuxedo Black Memento Ink by Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko,  I stamped one of the goats-on-the-rocks and two kids from the Get Your Goat Clear Polymer Stamp Set by Hobby Art Ltd. twice — once onto white cardstock and once onto repositionable sticker paper.

The sticker paper versions were fussy-cut and placed over their counterparts on the image panel as masks. The rockpile stamp from the Get Your Goat Clear Polymer Stamp Set was positioned under the large goat as shown and stamped twice — once onto the image panel and once onto repositionable sticker paper. Once again, the sticker paper version was fussy-cut and placed over its counterpart on the image panel as a mask.

One of the hills masks from the Mini Hills Mask Set by Lavinia Stamps was placed about 2" from the bottom of the image panel to protect it. Copic-friendly blue ink was brushed over a stencil and the masked goats onto the image panel to create a cloudy sky.

The hills mask was moved a bit downward and mid-green Copic-friendly ink was brushed over the top of the mask, the masked kids, and the masked rocks to create the top part of the lawn.

The flattish mask from the Acetate Hills Masks  Set by Lavinia Stamps was placed a bit below the top of the hill and the mid-green Copic-friendly ink was brushed over the top of the mask onto the image panel. This was repeated until there were several mid-green curves on the bottom of the image panel. Lighter green Copic-friendly ink was brushed onto the image panel to fill in the lawn area.

The masks were removed and the goat, kids, amd the rocks were colored with Copic markers. A green Copic marker was used to add some grassy detail to the lawn area.

Tuxedo Black Memento Ink by Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko was used to stamp the three butterflies from the Get Your Goat Clear Polymer Stamp Set by Hobby Art Ltd onto the sky area. They were colored with Copic markers.

The image panel was cut with the largest die from Card Passe Partout Essential Rectangles Die Set by Studio Light.

Using a stamping platform and Nocturne VersaFine Clair ink by Imagine Crafts Tsukineko the three sentiments were stamped onto the image panel as shown. The image panel was adhered to an A6 grey card.

Creating Focal Images with Washi Tape

Hi friends - Alanna here with you today with a fun card featuring the awesome new Flaming to Go washi tape from AALL & Create. This washi tape is brilliant in that you stretch out a length and then you do this repeatedly to build up your focal image, in this case this beautiful flamingo.

Once I had it entirely created, I trimmed my panel down and rounded the corners. I sat that aside and trimmed down a piece of patterned paper from the beautiful Ombre paper pad from Craft Consortium. I stamped my sentiment onto it, which is from one of my favorites, the More Classic Sentiments from Heffy Doodle.

I adhered the patterned paper directly to my white A2 notecard and then added the flamingo focal panel with some foam tape. I decided to tilt it for some fun. I finished off the card by adding in some gems from my stash.

It would be so easy to create multiples of these cards in no time. And if you are interested in other washi tapes like this, click here. AALL & Create has several like this.

Hi Everyone,

Cornelia here today. This week it's anything goes on the Topflight blog. I went with the cute Rabbits from AALL&Create.
I used one of the backgrounds from my stash. Added lots of splatters with a fan brush. I stamped the rabbits onto scrap paper. Colored them with alcohol ink markers. Added Washi tape on the side as well as for the sentiment.
I hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting.
See you next week with more Topflight Stamps inspiration.

NEW Lavinia Chalk Paint + Gel Press Fun Seahorse Tag

Hello, Lisa Hoel here. This week our theme over at Topflight Stamps is Anything Goes! We get to play with whatever strikes our fancy. I just got my hands on some of the new Lavinia acrylic chalk paint so I pulled out my Gel Press plate and had some fun.

Lisa Hoel for Topflight Stamps – Gel Press tag made with Lavinia paint and stamps

The paint worked well on my Gel Press plate and comes in so many lovely colors! I went to town and made a whole stack of prints. The paint dries with a matte finish so it's perfect for layering on stamping and other mixed media techniques.

I chose two of the prints to use for my tag – the tag base and the raised panel with the seahorse stamped on it. See the list below for all the different stamps and inks I used.

Best Fishes Card

It's Tuesday, so you've got Kathi here to share a project with you. This week is an "Anything Goes" theme for the TFS team. Since it's Mer-May, I decided to make a Best Fishes card featuring the Be a Mermaid Clear Stamp Set 852, the Mermaid Clear Stamp Set 853, and the Plenty of Fish Clear Stamp Set 858, all of which are by Janet Klein for AALL and Create.

Creating the scene for this card involved a whole lot of stamping with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink by Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko, fussy-cutting masks, sponging Copic-friendly ink on the background, then stamping sea plants with with green Copic friendly ink.

When I had the scene set, all the images were unmasked and colored with Copic markers.

I used a Copic black marker to edge the 6.75" scene, then adhered it to a 5" x 7" Kraft card. The sentiment was stamped with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink by Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko, cut with a flag cutting die, and adhered to the image panel to finish the card.

One Layer Birthday Cards

Hi friends. Alanna back on the blog with you today and I have another pair of clean and simple birthday cards to share with you today. I've needed to build up my birthday card stash and like to have a lot of mail friendly cards on hand.

For my cards, I started by taking the long rectangle stamp from the Shadow set from Hobby Art and I stamped it directly onto my A2 notecards two times with some Pearlescent Shimmer inks from Spectrum Noir in the Cosmic Purple and Tropic Blue colors.

I took one of my favorite sets from the store, Birthday Wishes from Visible Image and stamped my sentiment with Versafine Claire Nocturne ink. I then took the Fireworks set from Craft Emotions and stamped several images, framing up my sentiment. And that finishes off my cards for you today.

Visible Image Mixed Media

Hello friends! Ericka from Strangely Creative here and  today I have a Mixed Media page I made using some Visible Image supplies along with the PaperArtsy Fresco Paints. First I need to apologize for my post and pictures. My house was stuck by lightning and it just happened to fry both of my computers along with my light box. So my pictures aren’t as nice as they usually are and are lacking my watermark. I’m doing my post on photo so I also apologize for the lack of links.

I love playing with my gel press and so for my background I used the PaperArtsy Cerise and pulled up the print I then used the Visible Image Fragments stencil With the Twilight Fresco Paint. I stamped the Visible Image Butterfly Effect on a gel press leftover and cut it out with the coordinating die.

I used the AALL & Create Die Set 34 and attached all my elements to complete my page. Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a great weekend.

Fresco Paint Underwater Scene

 Hi Everyone,

Cornelia here today. This week it's all about different kinds of Media here on the Topflight blog. I used Fresco paints  and a visible Image stencil to make my background.
I brayered the paints onto my gel plate and put down the stencil. Pulled the print. I brushed in the white parts left by the stencil with distress inks.  I stamped the fish onto scrap paper and colored them with alcohol ink markers. Stamped and heat embossed the sentiment. Lastly I added Crystal Lacquer to the fishes eyes and some googly eyes as well.
I hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting.
See you next week with more Topflight Stamps inspiration.

Katzelkraft Mixed Media Birthday Card

Hello, Lisa Hoel here! This week our theme over at Topflight Stamps is mixed media so ink, paint, sprays and other supplies are making their way into our projects. I created a birthday card for my nephew using PaperArtsy Fresco PaintWOW embossing powder, texture paste, water colors and Gel Press prints. That's a lot of stuff…

Lisa Hoel for Topflight Stamps – birthday card made with Katzelkraft Stamps

The bottom layer is a piece of cardstock with some Stone Fresco Paint brayered onto it. I then used some black texture paste through the Short Circuit stencil over the top. While it was wet, I sprinkled on a little Oiled Slate WOW embossing powder onto the paste. Once dry, I heat embossed it.

The top layer background is a gel print with additional stenciling over the top of it. The stamped cats were watercolored and then fussy cut to add to that. A mat and stitch elements were cut using the SkyCrossed Paradise Die Set.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out the Topflight Stamps store for a wide selection of different and hard to find stamps, stencils and other paper crafting supplies from all around the world!
