Inspired Journal Part 2.

Hi Topflight Stamp Fans, Karen Bearse here with Part 2 of my Inspired Journal. I have made    Booklet #1: I am Creative. This project is filled with lots of stamps, stencils & ink. This is a great idea for any book, planner or even to cover a store bought notebook & also a fabulous way to get those stamps working! Let's get inky, you can find a full tutorial on my blog!

The cover was made using an inky technique with...

Stamps from Darkroom Door: My focal image.

Embossing Powder Emerald Creek for Eileen Hull.

Lots of Background Stamping with Grunge Marks one of my all time favs-so versatile &  also Arty Hexagons.

The Inside of my book was just a kaleidoscope of stamping. It was so fun to just pull out all kinds of stamps & stencils & use them. The train was inked with Hero Arts Ombre I used Pool to Navy but any of them would be so fun!

One of the stamps I used is a big wonderful Steampunk News by Stamperia. That is where the train came from but you can also use dye based inks to create 2 looks.

I covered it in ink & using the stamp press to get a good image. Then I added a spritz of water & re-stamped getting a water color image. I can now use these images as a whole or cut them up & use the individual images.

I also used stencils & a dabber to ink the image on my paper. This adds such a wonderful subtle pop of color. The stamps are Steampunk Squares

This stencil is also by Darkroom Door & is called Polka Dots

Pronty makes a fun Grunge Circle stencil. This can be used in the same way just with a dabber & some ink.

I also used washi tape- this looks great on the edges of your planner or journal pages.

Seriously how cute are these foxes? I hope you get a chance to hop over to my blog to see the techniques that were used & also more samples of the inside of my booklet. Have an inky day!
