I'm Late!

Greetings! It's Kathi here! It's Wednesday which means that I'm a day late sharing a project with you. Last Friday, we had a torrential rain storm which knocked out power for several hours. An hour after the power returned, the cable crapped out. Due to the pandemic, no one was available to come check out the situation until Tuesday, which meant that we were left without internet (except for our phones) and tv!

Anyway, my talented pal and TFS teammate, Toni, switched days with me. Don'tchaknow that team work makes the dream work?

This week, I've created a slimline card that is appropriately titled "I'm Late!" using stamps from the Alice Collection, Set 2 by Random Artist 222 for That's Crafty. I also used That's Crafty's Discover Word Series Stencilthe Cogged Up Stencil by Andy Skinner for Creative Expression, and two colors of Prism Inks by Hunkydory Crafts.

Here it is.

The Mad Hatter, from the fabulous Alice Collection, Clear Stamp Set 2 by Random Artist 222, was stamped onto Copic friendly cardstock and mask paper. The mask paper version was fussy-cut, then placed over its counterpart, so that I could stamp the little teapot from the set. The teapot was also stamped onto mask paper, fussy-cut, and put over its counterpart.

The base under the Mad Hatter was masked and Arctic Mist Prism Ink was sponged over the image. Two Post-It Notes were placed on the diagonal and Canary Yellow Prism Ink was sponged between them to form a lightbeam radiating from the lamp on the Mat Hatter's Hat.

The mask under the Mat Hatter's feet was removed and lavender ink was sponged over the Discover Word Series Stencil.

The masks were lifted and the images were colored. Several layers of Clear Glaze pen were used to add dimension and shine to the head lamp, the rivets, screws, and the top of the teapot.

Lavender cardstock was debossed with a clock pattern embossing plate, then Arctic Mist Prism Ink was sponged over a stencil by Stamperia and the Cogged Up Stencil. A larger piece of lavender cardstock was stenciled with circles. The two pieces were edged, layered, die-cut, then adhered to the slimline card.

Lavender cardstock was die-cut with a speech bubble and the sentiment from the stamp set was stamped onto it with Arctic Mist Prism Ink.

The image panel was matted with black cardstock and adhered to the card front. The sentiment speech bubble was adhered to finish the card.

BTW, there's a Christmas/Winter in July going on right now until July 31st.
