Let Your Dreams Be Your Compass

Greetings! It's Tuesday, so you've got Kathi here to share a project with you. This week I'm revisiting a favorite theme of mine, namely Steampunk. I've created a card using Stamperia's wonderful Lady Vagabond and Lady Vagabond Flying A5 Foam Mounted Stamp Sets with the wonderful Distressed Bricks 6x6 Stencil by Paper Rose and Small Elements Set 2 Clear Stamp Set by That's Crafty.

Here it is!

Lady Vagabond and her luggage from the Lady Vagabond A5 Foam Mounted Stamp Set and the Steampunk cat and the smaller clock from the Lady Vagabond Flying A5 Foam Mounted Stamp Set were stamped with Memento ink, colored with Copic markers, fussy-cut, and edged with a dark marker. The cat's goggles, the watch on his hat, the clock face, and the binocular lenses received several coats of Clear Glaze pen to add dimension and shine.

The large blending brush from the 3 Blending Brush Set by Time for Tea Designs was used to brush several colors of Distress ink over the Distressed Bricks 6x6 Stencil onto grey cardstock. When done, a black chalk pencil was used to add detail and dimension to both the bricks and the mortar.

Blue cardstock was trimmed to 8.25", white clouds were stenciled,  then Onyx Black VersaFine Ink by Tsukineko was used to stamp the birds from the Small Elements Set 2 Clear Stamp Set by That's Crafty. Black/Silver ink was used to stamp the compass from the Small Elements Set 2 Clear Stamp Set by That's Crafty which I think will be incredibly useful. It's new to the store along with three other sets of Small Elements Clear Stamp Sets and some wonderful Dinky Stencils.

The brick piece was adhered to the blue cardstock, then other elements were adhered as shown.
