Greetings! It's Tuesday so you've got Kathi here to share a project with you. I love visiting the beach especially during the offseason when it's a bit more serene. And nothing says the beach more than a seagull.
Here's my slimline card that I created with the Counting Seagulls Unmounted Rubber Stamp by Crafty Individuals and the compass stamp from the Eclectica ESC11 Cling Rubber Stamp Set by Scrapcosy for PaperArtsy. Prism Inks by Hunkydory Crafts were used with the clouds portion of the Great Outdoors Stencil by Polkadoodles to create a cloudy sky. The image panel and a mat layer were cut with the Essential Rectangle Frames Slimline Die Set by Sue Wilson for Creative Expressions.
Counting Seagulls Unmounted Rubber Stamp was stamped onto white cardstock and onto masking paper. The masking paper version was fussy-cut and placed over its counterpart on the image panel.
The bottom portion of the card was covered and Periwinkle and Pink Jellybean Prism Inks were brushed over the clouds portion of the Great Outdoors Stencil by Polkadoodles to create a cloudy sky.
The sky was covered and Blue Lagoon, and Ocean Spray Prism Inks were brushed horizontally over the bottom of the card to create the sea. The image panel was then cut with the second largest die from the The image panel and a mat layer were cut with the Essential Rectangle Frames Slimline Die Set by Sue Wilson.
The compass stamp from the Eclectica ESC11 by Scrapcosy was stamped with Periwinkle Prism Ink.
The masks were lifted and the seagull and the wooden pier/signs were colored with Copic markers.
The bottom of the image panel was looking a little plain, so I covered the seagull with tape, inked the stamp with Ocean Spray Prism Ink, and stamped the tide chart information randomly over the sea. The cap from a spray bottle was pressed onto the ink pad and stamped to add another element. White gel pen was used to add detail to the sea.
The image panel was matted with dark grey cardstock. Medium grey cardstock was cut with the largest die from the Essential Rectangle Frames Slimline Die Set by Sue Wilson and used to mat the image panel. Hemp twine was wrapped around the matted image panel, which was then adhered to a grey slimline card.
