Hi friends!
Charmaine here with a fun and easy mixed media tag using a Carabelle Studio stamp, our spotlight company of the week. I have a step-by-step pictorial for you using stamps, washi tape, and distress oxide.
Products used:
Another option: Carbelle Studio - Rainbow is my favorite color
(currently out of stock)
Another option: Visible Image: Imagine Dream Inspire
Process:
Start with a watercolor paper tag and "swoosh" it into three different colors of distress oxide and a little bit of water.
Take your stamp and distress oxide and stamp the image randomly over the tag. The nice thing about these Carabelle Studio stamps is that they are very flexible and you don't need an acrylic block to stamp. You can just use your hands and create a more organic look.
Apply washi tape anywhere you would like.
Use a little bit of white gesso and with your finger,
smooth away the hard edges of the tape and the stamps.

See the difference?
Stamp your sentiment and cut it out.
I used dimensional foam tape to adhere them to the tag.

Just for fun, add silver thread underneath.
This took about 15 minutes to make.
You can attach this to a card or send it to someone who needs a little pick-me-up.
