Greetins! It's Tuesday so you've got Kathi here to share a project with you. I decided to create an encouragement card with Carabelle Studio's wonderful Ladybug's Dream Cling Stamp Set and one of the sentiments from the Where Dreams Take You Clear Polymer Stamp Set by Visible Image. I also used Lavinia Stamps' Elegance Stencil with Lime Punch and Pine Elements Inks.
Here's the card.
I started the card by stamping the ladybug image from the Ladybug's Dream Cling Stamp Set by Carabelle Studioonto white cardstock and onto repositionable label paper. The label paper version was fussy-cut and placed over its counterpart as a mask.
Lime Punch Elements Ink by Lavinia Stamps was brushed over the mask image to create a green background. Pine Elements Ink was pounced with a pouncy tool (that looks like steel wool on a peg) onto the light green to add some texture and visual interest.
The Elegance Stencil by Lavinia Stamps was placed over the masked green background. Lime Punch Elements Ink was brushed over the stencil to add a leafy background for the ladybug.
The mask was listed and retained for another use.
The image was colored with Copic markers. White pencil was used to add some highlights to the watch/head and body of the ladybug.
The image panel was trimmed to 4.75" x 6.75".
Pine Elements Ink was used to repeatedly stamp the checkerboard image from the Ladybug's Dream Cling Stamp Set by Carabelle Studio around the edge of the panel. The same ink was sponged on the edges of the image panel.
Onyx Black VersaFine Ink by Tsukineko was used to stamp one the sentiments from the Where Dreams Take You Clear Polymer Stamp Set by Visible Image. Black Distress ink was used to lightly edge the image panel, which was adhered to a 5" x 7" green card.
