A Lavinia Steampunk Card

Greetings! It's Tuesday so you've got Kathi here to share a project with you. This week my teammates and I are showcasing Lavinia Stamps''s fabulous products. Lavinia Stamps' recent release included the Thayer Clear Polymer Stamp Set, which features a fabulous guy stamp and accessories for it. I thought he would look wonderful as a Steampunk dude, so I created a Steampunk card featuring him, wearing the Topper Clear Polymer Stamp.

Here's the card!

Black Copic-friendly ink was used to stamp Thayer from the Thayer Clear Polymer Stamp Set and the Steampunk Top Hat, Topper Clear Polymer Stamp onto white cardstock. Both were fussy-cut, colored with Copic markers, and edged with a black pen. White gel pen was used to add highlights to both of his eyes. A metallic marker was used to color the eyelets and other brass elements on the Topper.

Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink by Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko was used to stamp the monocle, from the Thayer Clear Polymer Stamp Set, over his left eye. Brass Detail Embossing Powder was added to the monocle, the excess was removed, then the monocle was heat set. Several layers of clear gloss pen were built up to add dimension and shine to the monocle's lens. Thayer and his Topper were set aside.

A piece of travel themed patterned paper was cut to 4.75" x 6.75". White Distress Stain was used to mute the patterned paper and white paint pen splatter was added.

Using a stamping platform, Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink was used to stamp the Compass (Small) Clear Polymer Stamp by Lavinia Stamps on the upper left and the Key (Small) Clear Polymer Stamp by Lavinia Stamps on the lower right. Brass Detail Embossing Powder was added to the compass and the key impressions, the excess was removed, and the images were heat set.

The same process was repeated to add the clocks from the Clock Set 1 Clear Polymer Stamp Set and cogs from both  Cog Set 2 Clear Polymer Stamp Set and Cog Set 3 Clear Polymer Stamp Set.

The Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink was dragged along the edges of the finished background panel, Fine Detail Brass Embossing Powder was added to the edges, the excess ep was removed, and the background panel was heat set. The background panel was adhered to a navy 5" x 7" card.

A rectangle frame die was used to cut another piece of navy cardstock.

Medieval Blue VersaFine Clair Ink was used to stamp the Steampunk Script Clear Polymer Stamp onto the patterned paper twice. Dark Red VersaFine ink was used to stamp Textures 2 Clear Polymer Stamp onto the patterned paper panel. The panel was heat set,

Thayer and his Topper were adhered to the stamped patterned paper panel then the frame die-cut was adhered overtop. The frame was then adhered to finish the card.
