Good Friends -- A Mardi Gras Card with Katzelkraft Stamps

It's Tuesday. which means you've got Kathi here to share a project with you. This week my TFS teammates and I are showcasing Katzelkraft's wonderful stamps. Today is Mardi Gras, so I decided to make a slimline card celebrating the holiday with the Robots 1Robots 2Robot Dog, and the Whatchamacallit Unmounted Red Rubber Stamp Sets -- all by Katzelkraft.

Here's the card.

Parades are definitely a Mardi Gras tradition so the Katzelkraft robots formed their own krewe. The Robot Dog was stamped first onto the right side of the image panel, then masked with a fussy-cut mask. Then a robot from the Robots 1 Unmounted Red Rubber Stamp Set was stamped and masked. The next two robots from the Robots 2 Unmounted Red Rubber Stamp Set by Katzelkraft were stamped and masked.

A ruler was placed horizontally over the base of the image and Copic markers were used to airbrush the background. The ruler was shifted and the process was repeated to add color to the base of the image panel.

Blue and lavender inks were used to stencil circuits on the background. I thought that the stencil was from Topflight Stamps. Sadly, I was mistaken. However, you can use the Short Circuit Stencil by Visible Image if you'd like.

The masks were lifted and the images were colored with Copic markers. Gelly Roll Bold Line Stardust Clear Glittering Ink by Sakura was used to add touches of glitter to the robots' antenna.

Nocturne VersaFine Clair Inks by Imagine Crafts was used to stamp the friends sentiment from the Whatchamacallit Unmounted Red Rubber Stamp Set by Katzelkraft onto an extra piece of Copic-airbrushed paper. This was cut with a speech bubble die.

My label maker was used to create the "Let the good times roll!" sentiment. Copic refill inks were dabbed onto the label to color it.

The label was adhered to the base of the image panel, the panel was trimmed, edged with blue ink, matted with black cardstock, then adhered to a white slimline card. The sentiment die-cut was adhered to finish the card.
