Remember When Steampunk art page

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my weekly Topflight Stamps shop post.
Once in a couple of weeks the designers make craft projects in their own free style using any stamps from the Topflight shop that fit their personality and preference.
So for me it's usually some Mixed Media project and this week it's a Steampunk art page made with three different stamp sets.
I called it Remember When as it's vintage, dark and looks like something from the past.

First I made the background with Studio Light Basic Background stamp using white pigmented ink and then heat embossed it with white embossing powder. Over all upper layers it's pretty hard to see this part of stamping, but after adding paints and mists it acted as resist and you still can see a lot of stamped background on the left of this piece.

The second part of stamping was stamping over vellum of Carabelle studio Steampunk: Machine a remonter le temps- Steampunk time machine stamp using black embossing powder and you can see the part of this stamping inside the Steampunk chipboard frame.

The last stamp set used to make this art page was Carabelle Studio Papillion Steampunk or Steampunk  butterfly stamp and its was stamped over white cardstock and heat embossed with black powder.
I added some metal cogs over this fantastic butterfly image and hand cut it to be my main image.

Everything else on this art page are paints, mediums, chipboards, mists and... Whatever we use to make the real Mixed Media project after we used our beloved stamps.

Playing with Carabelle Cactus Stamps

Hello Topflight Stamp Fans, Karen Bearse here with an art journal/smash book type page. I love combining art journaling with a photo and a story.

This page is from "My Favorite Book", made from an old thrift shop bought book and filled with my favorite photos. A great way to get some of those pictures off my phone! 

I got to play with this Carabelle Studios Cactus set which is perfect for the photo above! A little Archival ink, some scrapbook paper, some markers & a pair of scissors & my cute cacti were ready to go. To see how I made this page you can check out my blog post here. Embossed Bookmarks

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today.    It's Tuesday and it's my turn on the blog.  If you haven't checked out the Topflight store yet, you need to see the variety of stamps in the store.  They have some amazing stamps from all over the world.

Today I'm using Enchanted Tea Party stamps from Couture Creations to create bookmarks.  With school in session, why not create bookmarks to help your children enjoy the reading process.

I began by cutting cardstock strips 2" x 6" and embossing them with a Cuttlebug embossing folder.  Then I matted each with blue cardstock.  To emphasize the embossing, I ran a blue ink pad across each one.

I stamped the phrases in black ink, then die cut each to fit the tags.  For extra strength, I matted each bookmark again with kraft cardstock.  I adhered the phrases to each bookmark.

I punched holes in each one and then added Whisker Graphics twine.

Paperartsy/Jofy Blooms

Hi All, it's Clare with you on the Topflight Stamps blog today. I just love using Paperartsy Stamps, they are often at the top of my go to list!  The beautiful, crisp designs are simply stunning.

I used Jofy set#54 for this project.  Stamped onto some painted deli paper I applied it to my clean and simple card, with the exception for some splatters here and there.

The art work is just stunning on it's own so I just added a little doodling  and a few sequins for a subtle bling.

Sending love and best wishes to wherever you may be in the world. So many people are being affected by the extreme weather at the moment!  I hope this blog post reaches you safe and sound?

Have a Spooktacular Halloween altered tray

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new Mixed Media/Altered project made for Topflight Stamps shop.

This is a Halloween weeks on Topflight blog and each day one of our designers is inspiring you with an early Halloween project.

As you know I am a big fan of anything altered and Mixed Media, so this is  my Mixed Media Halloween inspiration today: and altered chipboard printers tray  filled with all thing spooktacular stamped bottles and signs.

I used the most spooktacular stamps set from Crafty Individuals UK: Poison and Danger

So here are some close- ups to the stamped spots inside the tray.
Some images were stamped with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with black fine embossing powder and some smaller images were stamped with black permanent ink. Both ways were  perfect to color with water colors as I did.

 For the more interest I added a couple of 3d stickers as a title and to add some dimension .
