Spread a Little Kindness

It's Tuesday, so you've got Kathi here to share a project with you today. It's an "Anything Goes" week for the TFS team. It's been very cold here in New Jersey with snow on the ground. The birds are all puffed up and hungry, which reminded me of the Bot-ology Spread a Little Kindness Rubber Cling Stamp Set by Andy Skinner for Creative Expressions, so I decided to make this card.

Place a piece of white cardstock onto the base of a stamping platform. Position the the focal image from the Bot-ology Spread a Little Kindness Rubber Cling Stamp Set by Andy Skinner for Creative Expressions facedown centered horizontally on the cardstock. Press the lid of the platform onto the back of the stamp and lift. Use tape or Post-It Notes to cover the leaves on the stamp. Ink the stamp with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink by Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko, remove the tape or Post-It Notes and stamp.

Use Copic markers to color the image panel.

Stamp the focal image again onto repositionable sticker paper, fussy-cut it, and place the sticker paper version over its counterpart on the image panel. Be sure that the lower part of the image panel with the base of the park bench, the robot's feet, and the sidewalk are covered by either the sticker paper or Post-It Notes.

Brush grey/blue dye ink over the masked images. Mist the image panel with a Fine Spray Mister by Spectrum Noir filled with 91% Isopropyl Alcohol to mottle and blend the ink without pilling the paper.

Use a white paint pen or a brush with white acrylic paint such as Snowflake Fresco Finish Chalk Acrylic by PaperArtsy to add white spatter to the background.

Remove the masks from the image panel. Use a white paint pen or a brush with white acrylic paint to add dots of snow over the images.

Use an A2 Polaroid Frame die to cut blue patterned cardstock. Adhere the image panel behind the window of the frame die-cut.

Flip the patterned cardstock over to reveal the solid side. Pat the cardstock with a non-static tool. Use Twilight VersaFine Clair Ink by Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko to stamp the sentiment included in the Bot-ology Spread a Little Kindness Rubber Cling Stamp Set by Andy Skinner for Creative Expressions. Sprinkle clear detail embossing powder onto the wet ink, dump the excess powder back into its container, and heat set the sentiment.

Die-cut the sentiment with a label die. Adhere the sentiment die-cut paper to the polaroid frame. Attach tiny pewter gears using philips head screw-top brads on either side of the sentiment die-cut. Adhere the cardfront to an A2 card.
