Mixed Media #10 Tag with PaperArtsy

Hi, Connie here with a mixed media tag using some pretty cool
products by PaperArtsy and some friends!  I'm creating with one
of the newly released stamps sets by Sara Naumann. Love her stamps
and her style!

The background of the #10 manila tag is created with watered down
Distress Oxide inks. The stencil (PS248) was added next. Water was splattered
on the front to distress the tag.  Next step is stamping those beautiful
stamps.

Extra elements were added for texture. Washi tape, old postage stamp and
ric rack trim served me well.  I used the Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher adding
more texture to the tag front.

The word phrases by Pronty were added with 3D Foam adhesive adding more
dimension and texture to the mixed media tag.  Additional trim was
tied to the top of the tag.

Soar!

Greetings! It's Tuesday, so you've got Kathi here to share a project with you. I've created a wall hanging or journal page with fabulous products by Tracy Scott for PaperArtsy I've used the focal stamp and both sentiments from Tracy Scott Rubber Cling Mounted Stamp Set 53 with the clock and numbers from the Tracy Scott Stencil PS252 and a mandala from Tracy Scott Stencil PS200.

Here it is!

I should explain the wall hanging or journal page comment. I've been wanting to start an affirmations art journal, but haven't yet found the perfect journal to use, so for now, this page will just be wall décor.

I stamped the bird with Memento ink onto white cardstock and onto repositionable label paper, which was fussy-cut and placed over its counterpart as a mask. Periwinkle Prism Ink was brushed over the masked image, then the middle and darker blue from the Blue Ombre Prism Ink Pad were brushed over the clock and roman numeral cluster from the Tracy Scott Stencil PS252 and the mandala from the Tracy Scott Stencil PS200. The panel was heat set.

The mask was removed from the bird and reserved for another use. The image was colored with Copic markers using the colors of the rainbow, since it's still Pride month. A dot of white gel pen was added to the bird's eye as a catchlight.

The sentiments were stamped with Onyx Black VersaFine Ink and heat set. The page was edged with the dark blue from the Ombre pad, then matted with black cardstock.

If you'd like to learn more about this page/wall décor piece, please pop over to my blog, Kat's Tales of Stamping.

Stamperia Roses Stamps Faux Delftware Birthday Card

Hello friends!  It's Autumn Clark from SewPaperPaint to share a fun faux enameled card with you using the gorgeous Stamperia Passion Rose stamp set.  I used my Prism Dye Ink Pad in French Navy to stamp the roses repeatedly onto my panel, then blotted the panel with my Versamark ink pad.  I added clear embossing powder and heat set, then rubbed Thundercloud over the divots.  I finished by embossing a sentiment from the Go To Sentiments by Visible Image Stamps in white on a blue strip.  I think this will be the perfect card for a Delftware collector, don't you?

4th of July with Visible Image

Hello friends! Ericka from Strangely Creative here and we are getting ready for the 4th of July celebration. Today I'm playing with the Visible Image Stars & Stripes stencil along with the Phoenix Rising stamp set.

I started with the stencil and used my gel press with the PaperArtsy London Bus and Baltic Blue. Once my paint was dry, I used a gold pen as a well as a white gel pen to trace over the stars. I then used the grungy stamp from the Phoenix Rising set in white ink to add texture to my flag.

I then added WOW! Embossing in Ice Cream for a sparkly off white look on my flag. To finish my card, I added the sentiment from the Phoenix Rising.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Another Day, Another Lady Vagabond Card!

Greetings! It's Kathi here to share another card using the wonderful Lady Vagabond Flying Foam Mounted Stamp Set by Stamperia. This time I used the focal image of the set and paired it with one of the fabulous sheets of patterned paper from the Vintage Maps 6x6 Patterned Paper Pad by Paper Favourites. If you like map paper, you must get this set! It's gorgeous!

Here's the card, which has a touch of glare on the top of it.

I started the card by stamping the flying house from the Lady Vagabond Flying Foam Mounted Stamp Set by Stamperia onto white cardstock. I colored the image and the background with Copic markers. I wasn't really happy with the background blend, so I went with Plan B because I didn't want to toss the colored image,

I had stamped and fussy-cut the image earlier but wasn't happy with my cutting, so ended up using that version as a mask for the next step. I put some colorless blender into a Mini Mister, added some blue Copic reinker, then sprayed it over the masked image, which worked really well to soften the background. If you do this, I suggest you open a window because the process was kind of stinky.

The image panel was trimmed and matted with green cardstock. I added some silver chain stickers to either side, then adhered the matted image to the map paper from the Vintage Maps 6x6 Patterned Paper Pad by Paper Favourites. The card front was trimmed to 5.75" square, sponged with Evergreen Prism Ink by Hunkydory Crafts, and adhered to a 6" square card.

Stamperia Sea World Lady Embellished

Hello friends! Ericka from Strangely Creative here and today I'm playing with the Stamperia Sea World Lady stamp. I love this beautiful stamp but sadly I found that after I made my plaque, it is out of stock.  However, I used plenty of other wonderful products found at Topflight such as PaperArtsy Fresco Paints and WOW! Embossing to embellish my sea lady.

For my background I used PaperArtsy Fresco paints in Lemon Meringue, Mermaid, and Twilight and a gel press. I also blended a little black paint on the edge of the background to help with an underwater look.

I used the stamps in the set with white ink around my background for added texture. I then used WOW! Mixed Media Brush and Egyptian Turquoise with some gears I had in my stash and heat embossed them to add to my plaque. I wanted a tad bit more shine on my lady so used the WOW! Embossing Pen with Sparkling Sand and Aquamarine to add highlights to her hair and clothes.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Stamperia Bookmark

      Hi Everyone,

Cornelia here today!
This week we are featuring stamps by Stamperia.
Stamperia makes vintage stamp motifs using red rubber - for sure the best stamping material.
Now vintage is not really my thing, so I struggled a bit......

I decided to make a bookmark with this book pile stamp. I really liked that one. And I could use another bookmark anyhow.
I rummaged through my stash of paper pads and found one I thought was suited as background. Stamped on it and colored with Copics. The stamp set did not come with a sentiment, so I went with this one by Visible Image Stamps. In the end i could not resist to put on the little sassy mouse from Katzelkraft, since I thought the bookmark was a bit lopsided. Used some slimline dies to cut out my bookmark.

I hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting.
See you next week with more Topflight Stamps inspiration.

Cosmos Bird by Stamperia

Hi, Connie here with a card using the Cosmos Bird Stamp set
by Stamperia. I kept it simple and classy.  I did add
some extra layers of dimension and color for that
distressed look that I really love!

The background is created with the bark stamp that comes in the set.
It was stamped four times to cover a (4 1/4" x 5 1/2")
piece of Kraft cardstock.  I then stamped one more time on a mixed
media heavy cardstock (same size) and colored it with
Distress Oxide inks.  I then tore around the edges of the cardstock,
 giving the distressed look.

The bird is colored with Distress Oxide inks. Twigs and moss are added
for dimension and interest.  Dimensional foam adhesive is used to adhere
the bird cluster to the card front. The sentiment is embossed with
clear embossing powder and then added to the card front, completing
the look.
