Happy International Cat Day!

Greetings, you've got Kathi here celebrating International Cat Day, which is really a thing! Of course, for me and my feline owners, every day is Cat Day! In honor of this extra special holiday I've started to make a cat tag album and have a tutorial to share with you. It got a bit involved, so this will be a two-parter, with the second installment next weekend!

Instructions:
1. Place two of the tags flush to each other with the tab parts are on the outside. I used my STAY-tion to keep everything secured.

2. Apply Washi Tape to the seam between the two tags as  shown below.

3. Flip the tags over, secure with magnets, and use Washi Tape to secure the tags.

4. Repeat Steps #2 and #3 so that you have two tag spreads.

5. Fold each tag spread, then repeat Steps #2 and #3 so that all the pages are combined as shown below.

6. Select six colors of Fresco Finish Chalk Acrylic Paint by PaperArtsy. I selected an opaque and a translucent yellow, green, and blue. Please note that I changed my mind and substituted Green Patina for Limelight.

7. Apply small drops of the each of the opaque colors to Cut n' Dry Inkssentials Crafting Foam, then smoosh onto your craft sheet to spread the colors.

8. Pat, dab, and twist to apply the paint to the all of the pages. Heat set between each page so that the pages don't stick together.

9. Repeat Steps #7 and #8 using the translucent colors you selected. I neglected to take a photo. Bad me.

10. Sponge or brush green and blue archival ink randomly through the Paw Prints Dinky Stencil by That's Crafty. Heat set.

11. Use the same colors of ink to stamp "Kitty Kitty" from the Felines Clear Stamp Set #408 by Janet Klein and "Meow" from the Caterday Clear Stamp Set #477 by Janet Klein. Heat set.

12. Use Memento ink to stamp the focal image from the Caterday Clear Stamp Set #477 onto white cardstock.

13. Fussy-cut, color with Copic markers, and edge with a dark marker.

14. Apply drops of HaystackSpring, and Green Patina Fresco Finish Chalk Acrylic Paint to the same piece of foam and pounce it onto a piece of mixed media cardstock. Heat set.

15. Use Onyx Black VersaFine Ink by Tsukineko® to stamp the sentiment from the Caterday Clear Stamp Set #477 onto the painted cardstock. Heat set

16. Use a speech bubble die to cut the sentiment.

17. Edge the sentiment and all of the pages of the tag book with black Archival ink.

18. Tear a bit of Washi Tape #2 by Autour de Mwa and position it just below where you want to place the girl and her cat.

19. Add a strip of thin heart washi tape on top of the black and white Washi tape.

20. Adhere the girl and the sentiment speech bubble.

21. Finish the cover by adding the heart/Washi Tape #2 combo in two other places.
