Greetings! It's Tuesday so you've got Kathi here to share a project with you! This week's focus is new beginnings, so I've made a calendar card featuring the adorable Kate Crane KC017 Cling Rubber Stamp Set by PaperArtsy, which features three large gnomes, five small gnomes, plus a cute sign, and several sentiments.
Here it is!
Use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp the largest gnome and all five of the small gnomes from the Kate Crane KC017 Cling Rubber Stamp Set by PaperArtsy onto white cardstock. Fussy-cut all of the images, color them with Copic markers, edge them with a black pen, and set them aside.
Cut a piece of mixed media cardstock to 5.75" square. Brush Della Blue Elements Inks by Lavinia Stamps over the entire panel and use the ink to edge the panel as well.
Cut a scrap of white cardstock with a leafy foliage cutting die. Brush Lime Punch, Pine, and Olive Elements Inks over the various leaves. Brush the same inks onto a piece of white heavyweight cardstock, blending as you go. Use this panel to cut a 1/8" strip, a 3.25" x 2.5" panel, and to die-cut the sentiment.
Use mushroom dies to cut three toadstools and three shiitake mushrooms, then color them with Copic markers.
Adhere the inked foliage die-cut to the bottom of the 5.75" panel. Adhere the 1/8" strip of inked cardstock over it. Adhere the three colored toadstools, the shiitake mushrooms, and all the gnomes as shown.
Adhere the calendar onto the sponged 3.25" x 2.5" panel, then add to the upper left of the image panel. Adhere the sentiment die-cuts onto the upper right as shown.
Adhere the calendar card to a 6" white card.
Retrospectively, I should have exercised some restraing and let more of the foliage and mushrooms show, but I really, Really, REALLY wanted to use all the little gnomes.
