Pumpkin Paper Piece with Leanne Creatief

Hello Inky Friends, Karen Bearse here, welcome to Topflight Stamps! The Design Team are playing with Leanne Creatief stamps this week. These stamps are uniquely designed to be doodled with but I came up with a different way to play.

I am still in the art card mood so I made this one from an index card. My background was a simple water color with a bit of stencil work & stamping using Distress Ink.

I got to play with the Pumpkin Stamp or as I like to call them pumpkin pie eggs. I stamped on different scrapbook papers & cut them out.

After stamping the image on an orange piece of scrap paper, the pumpkin was reassembled & glued back together.

I also added in some background stamping on my index card with Indigo Blu using the Shine Bright set.  This was a simple but effective way to use this stamp. You can check out more of my art & techniques on my blog. Thanks for joining me today & have a great week!

Fall Pumpkins

Welcome to the Topflights Stamp blog.  Steph Ackerman here again showcasing stamps from Leanne Creatief - Doodle Clear Stamp Pumpkin.

I cut layers for the base of my card and inked all edges with Distress Ink.   Fall was die cut from Rinea Foiled Paper using my Cricut Expression.

I stamped the pumpkin in black ink and colored it with Copic Markers before fussy cutting it.  Fall was added to the card on a slight angle and the pumpkin was added to the corner.

The Keeper of Dragonflies

Welcome to Topflight Stamps, It's Clare with you today and I'm working with the lovely Lavinia Stamps today.  You have to be quick buying these stamps they sell out so quickly!  The quality is out of this world and they stamps so beautifully.

I worked with Broken China, Faded Jeans, Peacock Feathers & Seedless Preserves Distress Oxides.

I stamped Dragonfly Keeper in Black Versafine ink and added some fine glitter to her wings and around the lamp.  Tracy Dutton, owner of Lavinia Stamps, does some super demos.  I watched one last week that inspired me to create my own.

I like to think that my  Dragonfly Keeper is making sure that all  young dragonflies are safely tucked up for the night!

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you have enjoyed your visit?  Pop over to the Topflight Stamps Shop and check out the continued discounts on selected categories

Christmas Candy Toppers with November Guest Designer Regina Bailey

Hi Everybody,

I am very excited to be guest designing this month for Top Flight Stamps.  Top Flight Stamps sells 20+ brands of stamps that are different and hard to find art stamps from around the world.  Click on Brands on their site for a drop down menu of each brand and I'm sure you'll see stamps that grab your attention because these are stamps that you do not see everyday.

The stamp set I'm using today is called Merry Christmas by Joy Crafts.   This is what the stamp set looks like.  If you like traditional, vintage Christmas projects, this is the stamp set for you.

I make cards for just about every project I post.  Lately I have been interested in experimenting with different creations.  I decided to make bag toppers using these stamps.  These are so quick and easy and make great gifts for teachers, co-workers, family, friends, etc.  This is appropriate for anyone so these will definitely be a little 'happy' that I will give to people in my doctor's offices, neighbors, etc.

I purchased clear and colored bags in the sizes I wanted and sized the topper accordingly.  The bags I used here are 4" wide by 9-1/2" long.  I put the candy in the bags and used a sealer machine to make sure they were closed good.  You can also staple closed as well.  Just make sure you get them straight before sealing.

I cut kraft, white and red cardstock to 4" wide and 4-1/2" long.  I put the cardstock in the MISTI, making sure the cardstock was in the corner and stamped and then turned the cardstock around making sure it was in the corner, same as other side and stamped again.  By using the MISTI, the stamps are in the same place on each side.  If you use the MISTI stamping tool, this goes really quick and you can make several in no time.

I scored them at 2" in the center (see pic) and placed over top of bag and stapled.  Simple as that!

These stamps can be colored in and can also punch a hole in the topper and add ribbon, etc., as well.

More ideas for bag toppers..... Valentine's Day for your kid's class, wedding favors, baby shower favors, and on and on.

I hope I inspired you to try to make bag toppers, something a little different than the cards we usually make.  Check out all of the stamps from Top Flight Stamps and I think you'll really like what you see because they are stamps like their site says, hard to find and different.  Why do we want to use what everyone else uses?  :)

Pretty Hummingbird

Welcome to the Topflights Stamp blog.  Steph Ackerman here again showcasing stamps from a Norwegian Company - Rubber Dance.  I'm using the Hummingbird Stamp.

I stamped the hummingbird stamp and phrase in pink and brown inks to coordinate with my background.  The hummingbird was die cut and matted with cardstock then added to the card.  After wrapping the card with twine, I added the phrase on top with foam adhesives.

Smile with flowers art page

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my last November Topflight Stamps shop post.
Irit is here and this is our " make it your favorite style" week.
So toady I made an art page using one big Rubber Dance stamps set that can be found in our Topflight Stamps shop.
I really love doing art pages, but this is my very first time to  leave the stamped images in black and white colors and to arrange them over colorful handmade background.

As you can see the background was made with black texture paste and one artistic stencil and then misted with a mix of three delicate colors.
All flowers from the stamp set were stamped with black pigmented ink and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder.
Each and every flower was hand cut and some of them were stamped over with the smallest texture stamps from the same set . Actually I used the small stamps as the background filler and the "white spaces over stamps" filler and it worked in the most perfect  way.

The chipboard title was painted in one of the background colors and I added a few splashes of the hot pink to add more interest to the page.

Here is a stamp set used to make this page:

Thanks for reading this blog post and I hope that you liked my artistic project today.

Playing with Infusions by PaperArtsy

Welcome to Thursday with Topflight Stamps, Karen Bearse here today. I love Turkey Day & I hope you get to spend the day with quality, fun, family time. First up we have our awesome Black Friday sale!! 25% off all stamps so get em while they are available!!

Now for the art! I had a lot of fun playing with Infusions for the 1st time. Here is the description of this product directly from the maker, PaperArtsy.

"Infusions are a 2 part dye stain. The mix of walnut crystals and dye colour are variable sized particles that dissolve at different rates. The colour particles are so fine and powdery that as soon as water touches them you instantly see bright colour. The walnut takes longer to absorb the water as it is more like a caster-sugar granule."

I will be playing more with these powders in the coming weeks but for today I just made a quick tag. I used Mermaid Fresco Finish paint, with a stencil for a background, on a cream colored tag. Then some Infusions in Lemoncello & Emerald Isle. Spritz with water and let the colors run. Adding more water & moving the product with a paint brush brings out the walnut color, nice & grungy.

I played with 2 PaperArtsy stamp sets. The first was the focal image the tree, from the set Zinski Art 18. The bright fall colors are from MarvyUchida's Le Plumme II markers. I cut the star off the top of the tree, placing it at the bottom of the tag & it looks like a leaf.

The 2nd set is by Seth Apter. I used the bottom stamp as the  background image. I love using this for backgrounds, type words just add the perfect touch! Thanks so much for joining me, Happy Thanksgiving again to our U.S. customers! I hope you get a chance to play today. For more inspiration my blog is karenbearse.blogspot.com.

How Many Sleeps?

Welcome to Topflight Stamps  It's Clare with you today. This Week I have been working with this cute little stamp from Leane Creatief. There is  lots of creative freedom to be had with these stamps.  You really can turn this into your own design!

Doodle away using your own creative flair! I stamped my image and coloured with Distress markers before adding my own doodles. Blue & green hues are my favourite!  So  to break tradition my Santa was a few different shades. I added some glossy accents here & there to create a little more dimension.

I found a small chalkboard for my little blue Santa, with paints and texture I transformed the plain frame into a wintery surround.

And so the countdown begins!  I added a few sparkly embelishments here and there to complete my own little Christmas countdown.

Watch out for our specials this week!  With Black Friday fast approaching I'm sure there will be bargains galore!

Crafty hugs,

Clare

Plant Loving Thoughts Mixed Media card

Hello my dear crafty friends!
Irit is here again and this week we were challenged to make project with stamps from the most gorgeous Carabelle Studio that you can find in our Topflight Stamps shop.
Each and every stamp set from this company is totally unique and fit for any Mixed Media project, scrapbooking or pretty simple cardmaking.
So here is my Mixed Media card made with  one single stamp set " as is"- I used each and every stamp in the set in different techniques.

The basic background was made with one artistic stencil and texture paste.
Then the background color was added with mists  and the main image was stamped with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with black embossing powder.
The butterflies were stamped over the thick cardstock in the same way and then hand cut  and added with 3d foam  glue over the card.
The sentiment was stamped with white embossing powder over black cardstock  and just a few rhinestones  were added to finish this card.
As  you can see this can be made with totally different colors of mists. If you are in this pink or purple mood you can do this card pink and purple. If you are in this fall kind of mood it can be done orange and  deep red and green. Just pick the color and it's done in no time.
Just remember to jump to our Topflight Stamps shop and to grab this delicious stamp set.

Art Cards with Carabelle Studio Stamps

Happy Thursday, Karen Bearse here on Topflight with art cards using Carabelle Studio Stamps. Today I wanted to play with some heat emboss & I had a bit of an experiment. Is it better to put white emboss down before color or after? My question is, does the color bleed through if you put the emboss down after the color or does it go on white?

Here is my finished index card. My father has not been well and I want to document that feeling. This photo is when we were both much younger. Art cards or journals are a great place to put down difficult feelings. I definitely felt better after I got this card done, less stressed & worried. The bonus is a moment in my life is frozen for me to remember later.

The team is playing with Carabelle Studio this week. The stamp set I used is for my card is by designer Zorrotte, called Doodl'Art. This is not just a great background stamp and I love how the repeated hearts ended up looking.

I also used the Fresco Paints by PaperArtsy to make my background. This technique was demoed by Seth Apter at Creativation 2017. Thanks Seth for letting me add this tutorial!

If you want to see how my experiment went you can check it out on my blog here. Thanks for joining me this week on Topflight Stamps & I will see you next Thursday!
