Happy Halloween with Lavinia

Hi friends - Alanna with you on the blog today where we are sharing fall and Halloween cards inspiration with you this week.

For my card, I create a night sky with Lavinia Elements Premium Dye Ink Pads along with a few stamp sets from Lavinia.

To get started, I die cut a piece of white cardstock using one of the dies included in the Numberama die set from AALL & Create. I then did my ink blending (all colors listed and linked at the bottom of the post). I took the Moon stamp from Lavinia and inked it up directly over my ink blended background using the Sahara ink. I then took a blending brush and added in a bit of extra ink just to help fill it in a bit.

I then stamped the witch and cauldron images which are from the Willow the Witch set. I took the smallest image from the Bubbles set and added my bubbles coming out of the cauldron. I took the Bats stamp set and stamped them in the sky and flying over my moon.

I then stamped my sentiment which is from the Classic Sentiments set from Heffy Doodle. I die cut the frame die I used before, but this time cut it from black cardstock and adhered the two together, slightly offsetting them. I then decided I needed just a bit more interest in my sky, so I added in some Frosted Juniper Distress Mica Stain. I added a piece of cardstock over my witch and cauldron as I wanted to avoid the splatter over them.

I hope you've been inspired today.

Mixed Media Magic

Hello, crafty friends! Ericka here from Strangely Creative, and I’m back with another fun project that adds a bit of shimmer to your day. Today, I’m sharing a colorful and vibrant mixed media card featuring a gel press background paired with the stunning Katkin Krafts Circles of Happiness stamp. If you’re like me and love rich details with a pop of gold, you’ll love how this card came together!

I had this gel press print hanging out in my leftover stash for a while—you know how it is with those bits and pieces you save “just in case.” Well, today was that day! The swirling blend of colors in the print practically begged to be used for something special, and the Circles of Happiness stamp was the perfect match.

Once I stamped the intricate design onto the background, I knew it needed a little more magic. I reached for my gold embossing powder and, wow, did it elevate the look! The richness of the gold against the colorful background really made the details of the stamp pop. It’s amazing how a bit of heat embossing can add dimension and elegance to a card.

I couldn’t resist using the sentiment that came with the set. Simple, heartfelt, and paired beautifully with the overall design. The best part? This card was quick to make but looks like it took much more time—thanks to that gel press background and detailed stamp.

So, if you’ve got some colorful gel press prints lying around, dig them out! They’re perfect for creating stunning cards in a flash, especially when paired with a bold focal point and some shiny embossing.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope this card inspires you to dive into your stash and make something beautiful this weekend.

Happy crafting!

Kaktin Krafts Space Card

Hello, Lisa Hoel here. This week our Topflight Stamps brand focus is on Katkin Krafts. I'm back with a second card using the "Fly Me to the Moon" stamp set.

Lisa Hoel for Topflight Stamps #creativejuicefreshsqueezed #topflightstamps

I first stamped the image onto smooth watercolor paper with clear WOW embossing ink, then embossed with clear powder. This was to create a resist image. After that I spritzed it with water and then sprinkled on Royal Blood and a touch of Slime PaperArtsy Infusions powder.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out the Topflight Stamps store for a wide selection of different and hard to find stamps, stencils and other paper crafting supplies from all around the world! Also keep an eye here on the Topflight Stamps blog. There is new inspiration posted daily!

Blast Off with Katkin Krafts!

Hello, Lisa Hoel here. This week our Topflight Stamps brand focus is on Katkin Krafts. They have many fun designs available! I chose to use the "Fly Me to the Moon" stamp set. I love the detail in it.

I chose a slim line card format and paired the space stamp with a sentiment from the Visible Images Birthday Wishes set. I used watercolors to colorize the image after embossing it with Black embossing powder and also spritzed Glimmer Mist through a stencil around the edges.

Follow Your Heart Card

It's Tuesday which means that you've got Kathi here to share a project with you. This week my teammates and I are showcasing Katkin Krafts' wonderful stamps. I am still basking in the love from my nephew's wedding this past weekend, so I decided to use Katkin Krafts' Wild Hearts Clear Photopolymer Stamp Set for my card.

Tuxedo Black Memento Ink by Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko was used to stamp the brick and key stamp from the Wild Hearts Clear Photopolymer Stamp Set by Katkin Krafts onto white cardstock.

The image was carefully fussy-cut, colored with Copic markers, then edged with a dark marker.

Yellow Copic markers were used to color a strip of white cardstock. Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink by Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko was used to stamp the sentiment from the Wild Hearts Clear Photopolymer Stamp Set onto the colored strip. A flag die was used to die-cut the sentiment which was then edged with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink.

A piece of brick patterned paper from the Brick Textures 6x6 Patterned Paper Pad by Craft Consortium was trimmed to 6" x 4.25", edged with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink, and adhered to a black A6 card.

The fussy-cut colored image and the sentiment were adhered to the front of the card using foam adhesive to finish the card.

Just Because Mini-Slimline Cards

Hi friends. Alanna back with you on the blog today and our focus this week is on the Katkin Krafts brand.

I have a pair of mini slimline cards to share with you today. They measure about 6.25x3.75 inches. For my cards, I started by trimming down papers from the Pigment Infusions 6x6 collection from Craft Consortium and then I stamped directly onto them with the Dance with Dahlias set from Katkin Krafts. I love all the detail in these images, and they would look great colored, but I chose to just stamp them with my favorite Versafine Claire Nocturne ink.

After my stamping was done, I added the panels to my white notecards. I then added the stamped sentiments which are from Heffy Doodle's More Classic Sentiments set. I finished off the cards by adding in some white pearls.

Snarky Mixed Media Fun: Adding Sass with Gel Prints & Embossing!

Hello crafty friends! Ericka from Strangely Creative here, bringing you a snarky little card perfect for those days when sweet sentiments just won’t cut it. Today, I’m diving into my stash of gel press prints and decided it was time to put one of them to good use. I know we all have those prints hanging around just waiting for the right moment to shine, right? Well, this one made with PaperArtsy Fresco Paints in the oh-so-bold Tango and Persimmon is the star of today's show.

First, let’s talk stencils. I couldn’t wait to bust out my new PaperArtsy Kate Crane PS428 stencil. Seriously, how could I resist? I grabbed my embossing ink and gently spread it through the stencil, followed by the magical sprinkle of WOW! Embossing Powder in Tarnished Teal.

But of course, no snarky card is complete without a little attitude. That’s where the AALL & Create Sharp Tongues Ephemera comes in. These cheeky little pieces add the perfect dash of sarcasm and sass to tie the card together. Because sometimes, the sentiment “Have a great day!” just needs a little edge.

So there you have it! A quick, mixed-media card with a blend of texture, color, and personality. Thank you for stopping by, and I hope your weekend is as colorful and bold as this card. Until next time — stay snarky, my friends!

Celebrating Fall with AALL & Create

Hello, Lisa Hoel here. It's finally September! I'm ready for fall weather and colors so I was inspired to create an autumn themed card using the AALL & Create Garden Times stamp as a focal image.

I raided my stash of monoprints made with a Gel Press Plate for the layer under the main image. (It pays to have a stash!)

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

It's Tuesday, so you've got Kathi here to share a project with you. However, first it's time to remind you that the Labor Day Sale ends tonight, Tuesday, 9/3/24 at 11:59 P.M. There are loads of wonderful new (and old) products in the store, so I'd pop over there right now!

This week our theme is "Anything Goes", so I've made a Halloween themed MemoryDex card with the Summer Splendour Die Set 50 by AALL and Create. the Devil Dee Clear Stamp Set 955 by Janet Klein for AALL and Create with a sentiment from the Miss Merry Clear Stamp Set 608 by Janet Klein for AALL and Create, and Elements Inks by Lavinia Stamps.

Here's my MemoryDex card, that will be part of a Halloween album!

Tuxedo Black Memento Ink by Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko was used to stamp the devilish Miss Dee from the Devil Dee Clear Stamp Set 955 by Janet Klein for AALL and Create onto white cardstock. I fussy-cut the image, colored it with Copic markers, added white highlights with a white gel pen, edged the fussy-cut image with a black multiliner. Some black ink messed up my golden pitchfork handle but a Bronze Metallic Marker from the Essential Metallic Colorista Markers by Spectrum Noir set came to the rescue. Miss Devil Dee was set aside.

The MemoryDex Die from the Summer Splendour Die Set 50 by AALL and Create was used to cut Bristol Paper. Sundance Elements Inks by Lavinia Stamps was sponged over the entire die-cut. Russet Orange and Emperor Red Elements Inks were each sponged from the bottom of the die-cut toward the top.

Russet OrangeEmperor RedMerlot, and Graphite Elements Inks were sponged over a flames stencil to give Miss Devil Dee a suitable background.

Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink by Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko was used to stamp the Halloween appropriate sentiment from the Miss Merry Clear Stamp Set 608 by Janet Klein for AALL and Create onto the MemoryDex die-cut.

Graphite Elements Ink was used to edge the MemoryDex die-cut and Devil Dee was adhered to finish the card.
