Thanks a Latte

It's Tuesday so you've got Kathi here to share a project with you. This week my teammates and I are showcasing Creative Expressions' wonderful products. My card features the adorable bears from the Warm Hugs Clear Stamp Set, one of Jane's Doodles fabulous stamp sets for Creative Expressions, with patterned papers from two of my most-used favorite pads, A Gingham Christmas 8x8 Patterned Paper Pad by Creative Expressions and the Coffee and Chocolate 8x8 Patterned Paper Pad by Stamperia.

PSA: If you haven't checked out Jane's Doodles fabulous stamp sets for Creative Expressions, you should. The critters are way too cute. I also would be remiss if I didn't tell you to click over to Topflight Stamps to see all the amazing new products!

Here's the card.

Tuxedo Black Memento Ink by Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko was used to stamp both the bears from the Warm Hugs Clear Stamp Set by Jane's Doodles for Creative Expressions. They were fussy-cut, colored with Copic markers, edged with a black pen, and set aside.

The map paper from the Coffee and Chocolate 8x8 Patterned Paper Pad by Stamperia was trimmed to 5.875" x 3.875". Low-tack tape, brown ink, and Pine Cone VersaFine Clair Ink by Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko were used to create a  box around the "Coffee Map" on the lower left hand corner and to create a .125" strip along the bottom of the panel. Pine Cone VersaFine Clair Ink was used to edge the entire map paper, which was then matted onto a piece of dark brown cardstock.

Adhere the bears as shown.

One of the labels from the inside front cover of the Coffee and Chocolate 8x8 Patterned Paper Pad was brushed with the same brown ink used on the patterned paper.  Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink was used to stamp the sentiment from the Warm Hugs Clear Stamp Set onto the label, which was trimmed then edged with Pine ConeVersaFine Clair Ink.

The brown, red, goldish plaid patterned paper from the A Gingham Christmas 8x8 Patterned Paper Pad by Creative Expressions was trimmed to 6.875" x 4.875", edged with Pine Cone VersaFine Clair Ink and adhered to a 7" x 5" card. The image panel was adhered as shown. The sentiment strip was adhered to finish the card.

Please pop over to my blog, Kat's Tales of Stamping, for complete supply lists and more information.

Note: Every now and then you find patterned paper pads that are so fabulous and versatile that you end up using and hoarding every scrap. Both the Coffee and Chocolate 8x8 Patterned Paper Pad  and the A Gingham Christmas 8x8 Patterned Paper Pad are perfect examples. The Ink Drop 6x6 Patterned Paper Pads are incredibly versatile as well.

Thank you for visiting today!

  1. Hi Kathi. Your card is adorable. Jane's Doodles is one of favorite stamp companies. I love the caffeinated bears traveling in search of great coffee.
