WTF! - A Craft Emotions Card

Greetings! It's Tuesday, so you've got Kathi here to share a project with you! This week my teammates and I are showcasing wonderful products by Craft Emotions! I hope you enjoyed this long holiday weekend, which marks the unofficial beginning of summer!

The holiday weekend and hot weather inspired this sea-themed card using the Oceans 10  and Oceans 11 Clear Polymer Stamp Sets by Carla Creaties for  Craft Emotions.

Tuxedo Black Memento Ink by Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko were used to stamp the wonderful sea horse and the angel fish from the Oceans 10 Clear Polymer Stamp Set by Carla Creaties for Craft Emotions onto white cardstock. Both images were fussy-cut, colored with Copic markers, edged with a black pen, and set aside.

Using the 4" Brayer by SpeedballMermaidBlue AtollBlue Lagoon Elements Inks by Lavinia Stamps were applied to a Gel Press, and mixed media cardstock was smoothed onto the Gel Press to transfer the ink. This process was repeated a few times until I was happy with the blending and color saturation.

The inked mixed media background panel was moved to a stamping platform then Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink by Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko was used to stamp the Oceans 11 Clear Polymer Stamp Set by Carla Creaties onto the panel.

A wet paint brush was used to remove some of the ink from above the top waves to create a sky area.

Kraft cardstock was torn, layered, and adhered to the bottom of the background panel, which was then trimmed and edged with black ink.

A variety of seashell and coral dies were used to cut white cardstock. PineLime Punch, and Olive Elements Inks were sponged onto each type of the sea plants, misted with 91% Isopropyl Alcohol and allowed to dry. Confetti, Violet ChalkSundanceRusset Orange, and Paprika Elements Inks were sponged onto each type of coral, misted with 91% Isopropyl Alcohol, and allowed to dry. A crab punch was used to punch white cardstock, sponged with Paprika Elements Inks, misted with 91% Isopropyl Alcohol, and allowed to dry. When dry, the crabs' claws were colored with blue markers, a white paint pen was used to add dots for their eyes, and a black detail pen was used to add pupils. Copic markers were used to color the seashells, starfish, and sand dollar.

The sea plants, seahorse, angel fish, coral, shells, and crabs were adhered to the image panel as shown.

White cardstock was cut with a speech bubble cutting die, then placed onto a stamping platform. The "WTF" sentiment from the Oceans 10 Clear Polymer Stamp Set was positioned face down on speech bubble. The platform's lid was lifted, and low-tack tape was placed over the birthday sentence.  Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink was used to ink the stamp, the tape was removed, and the sentiment was stamped.

The image panel was adhered to a 5" x 7" kraft card. The sentiment speech bubble was adhered to finish the card.
