Owl You Need Is Love

Greetings! It's Tuesday which means you've got Kathi here to share a project with you. This week the team's focus is on Lavinia Stamps' wonderful products. I've used their Ginger Clear Polymer StampBijou Clear Polymer Stamp,  Tree Den Clear Polymer Stamp. and Fairy Charms Clear Polymer Stamp Set for my images. I also used their Acetate Circle Masks and the Replenish Stencil with their Blue Lagoon and Dark Denim Elements Inks.

Here's the card!

I used Tuxedo Black Memento Ink by Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko to stamp Bijou Clear Polymer Stamp by Lavinia Stamps twice — once onto the image panel and again onto repositionable sticker paper. The sticker paper was fussy-cut and placed over Bijou on the image panel.

The Ginger Clear Polymer Stamp by Lavinia Stamps was placed to Bijou's left and stamped twice with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. Again, the sticker paper version of Ginger was fussy-cut and placed over his counterpart on the image panel.

The Tree Den Clear Polymer Stamp by Lavinia Stamps was used as a tree branch, placed under both Ginger and Bijou's feet, and stamped twice with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. Not surprisingly, the sticker paper version of the Tree Den was fussy-cut and placed over its counterpart.

The smallest circle from the Acetate Circle Masks by Lavinia Stamps was placed above Ginger and Bijou.

Dark Denim Elements Ink by Lavinia Stamps was lightly brushed over the masked images onto the image panel. Blue Lagoon Elements Ink by Lavinia Stamps was brushed over the darker blue to create a richer blue.

The Replenish Stencil by Lavinia Stamps was placed over the image panel and Blue Lagoon Elements Ink was brushed over the stencil to add a tone on tone heart pattern to the background.

The stencils were removed and the masks were lifted. The images were colored with Copic markers.

Small pieces of low-tack tape were placed over Ginger and Bijou's beaks. The two heart charms from the Fairy Charms Clear Polymer Stamp Set by Lavinia Stamps were positioned so it would look like the owls were carrying the heart charms. The stamps were inked with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink by Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko and stamped.

Remove the stamps. Remove the low-tack tape pieces.

A sentiment from a retired AALL and Create clear stamp set was positioned over the moon and stamped with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink.

Gelly Roll Bold Line Stardust Clear Glittering Ink Pen by Sakura was used to add a glittery outline to the moon.

The image panel was matted with black cardstock and adhered to a blue 5" x 7" card.
