Darkroom Door Shrink Plastic Charm Chalkboard Card

Happy Saturday friends!  It's Autumn Clark from SewPaperPaint with you today to share a fun boho inspired card with you.  I embossed the Arrows background stamp by Darkroom Door onto chalkboard paper using Ranger's Pearl embossing powder.  I chose the Wander sentiment stamp by Darkroom Door for my focal point, stamping it onto a lightly inked die cut panel.  Then I thought it would be fun to have something hanging, so I stamped the Darkroom Door Feather onto shrink plastic with Staz-On.  I haven't done this in years and years and it was such fun to try again.  I hope you're inspired to dig out your shrink plastic and have a play at making some charms with your stamps.  Hugs, Autumn

Carabelle Texture Plate with Gel Printing

Happy Friday! Ericka from Strangely Creative and I hope you had a wonderful week. Today I'm playing with my gel press and creating backgrounds using the Carabelle Rosette Texture Plate . These texture plates are a great way to add pretty designs to your gel press printing sessions and can be used in a variety of ways.

For my journal page today, I used the PaperArtsy Fresco Paints in Bumble Gum and Gold. I first applied a light layer of gold to my gel press and pulled up the print. Then I used the Bubble Gum paint and applied the texture plate to the gel press and lifted the print.

I love the beautiful and unique prints that result in using the texture plates. Check out the Topflight Instagram for a look at all the prints I made.

To finish my page, I added some black paint around the edges and some splatters along with this sentiment from Hobby Arts Scene It set.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Carabelle Studio - Life is Good

       Hi Everyone,

Cornelia here today!
This week we are featuring stamps by Carabelle Studio.

I have a thing for fish, so I couldn't resist this awesome stamp set. It's linked below. I stamped the fish and colored them with water brush pens. Cut them out. I used a distress in reinker to make my background. Stamped the water drops. Lifted the ink off with water and a paper towel. Added a little white accent to the drops with a white pen. Added the fish and the sentiment. Lastly  I added a few clear dew drops to some of the water drops.

You can see those dew drops better in the magnified picture below.

I hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting.
See you next week with more Topflight Stamps inspiration.

Creating Mixed Media Style with Carabelle Stamps

Hi, Connie here with a mixed media style card using a texture
plate, Gel Press and some pretty cool stamps by Carabelle Stamps.
I've never used a texture plate before and I wasn't disappointed.
You have got to try them!! Topflight carries lots of different
designs.

I started by adding three colors of Fresco acrylic paints by Paper Artsy to
the Gel Press.  Using the Speedball Brayer, to even the paint out,
white cardstock (6 "x 6") was used to pull the prints.

I kind of went wild (well I did go wild), so you
will see more projects with these prints that were created today.
So fun I couldn't stop and eager to get more texture plates.

I used two of the prints to create the card.  One for the card base and the
other print for stamped images. A couple of the images are stamped
directly on the card front, as you will see.

The sentiment and the postage stamp image were embossed with white
embossing powder. Dimensional adhesive was used, on several
of the images, to create a layered look when adhering to the
 card front.

I wanted the leaf to stand out so it was painted in with Fresco Finish/Gold Rush
acrylic paint by PaperArsty.  The card is speckled with black acrylic paint and a
wooden heart is added to the card front.

Happy Purrthday from some Kooky Cats!

Greetings! It's Tuesday so you've got Kathi here to share a project with you. This week my teammates and I are showcasing wonderful products by Carabelle Studio. Since (a) I always need birthday cats and (b) I'm a crazy cat lady, I decided to create a postcard style card with Carabelle Studio's My Stamp Rubber Cling Stamp, the Kooky Cats Cling Rubber Stamp Set, and the Little Kooky Cat Rubber Stamp. I also used the Regal Frame Red Rubber Cling Stamp by Darkroom Door and Purrfect Day Clear Stamp Set by Heffy Doodle.

Here's my card which was inspired by the famous painting, American Gothic!

A bunch of stamping and masking went into creating this card. I drew the house in the background, but didn't want to try to risk drawing a pitchfork. After the fact, I thought I should have had the male cat holding a fish skeleton. Alas. Two layers of detail clear embossing powder went onto the Regal Frame and a label machine was used for the title.

If you'd like to know more about this card, please pop over to my blog, Kat's Tales of Stamping!

Kate Crane Sunshines & Faces Slimline Cards

Hi everyone!  It's Autumn Clark from SewPaperPaint with you today to kick off our week long Carabelle Studio inspiration.  I couldn't stop with just one, so I've made several slimline cards featuring a few of Kate Crane's stamps.

For two of the cards I used the Art Dolls stamp set.  I used a waterbrush and Distress Inks to color them.  I used an older Carabelle script stamp in the background, similar to THIS Inky Script background stamp by Darkroom Door.  I used the AALL & Create Tre Feori stencil in the background of the blue card.

Then I used the Face It stamp set.  I love these fun girls!  For the background on this one, I tapped the three colors of ink pads on my kraft mat, then dipped the panel into the water spritzed inks to make three circular blocks of color.

I added a little doodle line around each panel.  I finished the cards with adhesive gemstones by Hunkydory.  I hope these bright & cheery cards make you smile today!  Hugs, Autumn
