Hobby Art Baa Humbug Christmas Sheep Cards

Hi friends!  It's Autumn Clark from SewPaperPaint with you today to share some fun CAS Christmas cards.  I did a simple watercolor with the Baa Humbug stamp set by Hobby Art Stamps and fussy cut the sheep and santa hats.  For my background, I used a 3D snowflake embossing folder, which I sponged the edges lightly with Speckled Egg Distress Oxide.  I gave them a splatter of red ink, then mounted my sheep and fun sentiment.  I hope they make you smile and you're inspired to make some simple handmade Christmas cards today!  xx, Autumn

Studio Light Grunge Poinsettia Christmas Tag Tutorial

 

Hi friends!  It's Autumn Clark from SewPaperPaint with you today to share a fun mixed media tag tutorial with you.  I fell head over heels in love with the new Studio Light Christmas Grunge collection and had to snag some of the stamps from Topflight Stamps for my cardmaking this year.  For this tag, I used the Poinsettia stamp with the Dots & Stains stencil.  I used my Prism markers on Bristol for the coloring and the fab new ultra thick 6mm foam tape for extra dimension.  You can find the video HERE on YouTube.  Make sure to check out this fab collection and take advantage of the Cyber Monday sale at Topflight Stamps!  xx, Autumn

Crafty Individuals Mixed Media Mushroom Tag

 

Hi friends!  It's Autumn Clark from SewPaperPaint with you today to share a mixed media tag created with gorgeous Crafty Individuals stamps.  

I made an ink dipped background using Peeled Paint, Antique Linen and Vintage Photo Distress Inks.  I overstamped in Gathered Twigs with the fantastic Counting Down background stamp.  

For the focal image, I stamped the Counting Toadstools stamp once over my background, then again onto Bristol paper and watercolored and fussy cut.  I added Rusty Hinge to complete my color scheme.  I love the dimension created when mounting fussy cuts over stamped images.  The coffee stains are similar to the Darkroom Door Coffee Time stamp set, stamped in Walnut Stain.  I finished by tying some sari ribbon onto the top with a piece of jute.

Katzelkraft Pumpkins & Mushroom Fall Cards

 

Hi friends!  It's Autumn Clark from SewPaperPaint with you today to share some fall cardmaking inspiration with you using Katzelkraft stamps.  I had a great time using these stamps and trying out different designs.  For this first card, I paired an old embossing folder to make a textured background, over which I stamped the berries from the Into the Wild stamp set.  I fussy cut the twigs from the owl and used them for my spray.  

For all of my cards, I used mixed images from the Mushroom stamp set with images from the Pumpkin Fields stamp set.  I used a combination of Distress Inks in Rusty Hinge, Antique Linen, Vintage Photo, Peeled Paint and Gathered Twigs.  For this one, I added some white highlights with a Posca paint pen.

This one was the most simple, but I really liked it.  I used the mushroom names to fill in the background and a combination of silhouette stamping with watercolor.  

For my final card, I used that adorable stacked pumpkin stamp.  The hanging berries are used in place of the vines, which I used to create the ground cover.  They were all so much fun to make and I hope they will inspire you today!  xx, Autumn

PaperArtsy Scrapcosy Mushrooms and Squirrel Tags

 

Hi friends!  It's Autumn Clark from SewPaperPaint with you today to share an autumn tag trio made with Scrapcosy stamps by PaperArtsy.  Raquel is my absolute favorite designer and I was really in the mood to have a play with her fall themed stamps, so I grabbed a few sets and had a nice, relaxing play, resulting in these three tags.  I used stamp sets ESC25, ESC26 and ESC32.  

For my backgrounds I dipped each tag (handcut from Bristol) in Antique Linen and Vintage Photo Distress Ink.  For the stamping, I misted my stamps before making the impression.  I used Gathered Twigs, Aged Mahogany, Rusty Hinge and Peeled Paint.  

I used Archival ink in Acorn for my focal images and watercolored them with the same inks.  

I used a woodgrain embossing folder to the die cut ovals to make the focal images more prominent.  I hope they inspired you today and you'll check out Raquel's fabulous range of stamps at Topflight Stamps!  xx, Autumn

Darkroom Door 4th of July Shaker Card

 

Hello stampers!  It's Autumn Clark from SewPaperPaint with you today to share a festive 4th of July shaker card made with fabulous stamps by Darkroom Door, available at Topflight Stamps.  For this card, I started by embossing the Pinstripe background stamp in white and brushing on Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink onto the misted panel.  Next, I embossed the new Brave & Free quote stamp and Sketchy Stars eclectic stamp in white and colored the sentiment with Chipped Sapphire and the stars with Barn Door.  I love the Darkroom Door quote stamp collection and love to cut my sentiments apart and rearrange them for new phrases.  That makes the most of each purchase and we all want to do that, right?!  I layered the fussy cut elements over a shaker panel I made with stacked star die cuts.  I used the same dies to cut two pieces of white fun foam to build up the star layers in the shaker and some upcycled die cut packaging for the acetate.  I hope this card makes you smile as you celebrate this 4th of July and you will try some of these ideas yourself.  Hugs, Autumn

Darkroom Door Layered Handwriting Mother's Day Card

 

 

 

Happy Mother's Day stampers!  It's Autumn Clark from SewPaperPaint with you today to share a fun collage card just for mom.   I have been eager to play with the new Layered Handwriting Background Stamp by Darkroom Door again and decided to do a postal themed collage card for Mom, using it as the main background element.  I dipped my panel in watery Bundled Sage and Speckled Egg Distress Ink, then stamped the Layered Handwriting in Evergreen Bough and embossed with Distress Glaze.  I made a small envelope with my We R Memories Punch Board and distressed it with Gathered Twigs.  Then I stamped the Pen Nibs and bird from the Love Birds set in black onto inky paper and fussy cut them.  I stamped the Small Sketched Alphabet letters into one of the Lots of Labels stamp.  I attached a flat brad to hold the envelope flap down and adhered a pretty button over it. 

 

 

 

The flap opens to store a gift card.  I added a note card as well and used the Simple Sayings Vol. 2 for the verse.  The extra word strips were printed off of my computer, an old postal stamp and a cancellation stamp from the Global Postmarks set to tie it all together.  I hope this card has given you some ideas and you'll play around with the Layered Handwriting stamp to make some backgrounds of your own.  Have a wonderful Mother's Day!  xx, Autumn

Mushroom Monday

It must be mushroom Monday! The Topflight Stamps team will be featuring creations using Katzelkraft products this week. This is Rachel from rwkrafts and I instantly fell in love with the Mushroom set from Katzelkraft. 

I created some notecards with the mushrooms. I was really inspired by the artwork on the packaging, so I decided to watercolor the stamps using some Distress Inks. I love how realistic the images turned out!

I fussy cut the mushrooms and adhered them to an inky background. Some of the mushrooms I heat embossed with Wow! Embossing powder in Magic Metallic. 

While I loved the realistic mushrooms, I just had to throw in some rainbows!

Are you team rainbow or team realistic mushroom? For this notecard I also heat embossed the Katzelkraft Waterfall stamp using the Wow! Magic Metallic. The 'hello' sentiment is stamped in blue ink from the Time for Tea - Happy Mail Critters set.
