Greetings! You've got Kathi here today to share a card with you. Our theme this week is Celebrations! 

Here's a card that could work with many occasions that was created with the Pandamonium Party Clear Stamp Set by Time for Tea Designs and the Celebrate Strip Red Rubber Cling Stamp by Darkroom Door.

Use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink by Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko to stamp one of the pandas from the Pandamonium Party Clear Stamp Set by Time for Tea Designs twice — once onto white cardstock and once onto repositionable sticker paper. Stamp the balloons from the Pandamonium Party Clear Stamp Set twice as well. Fussy-cut the sticker paper versions of the panda and balloons and place them over their counterparts as masks.

Position the small rounded rectangle from the Bubble Talk Die Set 72 by AALL and Create over the masked Panda and balloons and use low-tack tape to secure the die to the image panel. Run the image panel/die combination through your die-cut machine. 

Carefully flip the die and use low-tack tape to attach the reverse of the die-cut to the reverse of the mage panel. Flip the the panel right-side up keeping the cutting die in place. 

Lightly brush Della Blue Elements Ink by Lavinia Stamps over the die and the masked images onto the image panel to create a sky background.  Tear a piece of Repositionable sticker paper and place it horizontally, slightly below the Panda's feet. Lightly brush Pine Elements Ink over the sticker paper onto the the image panel to create a grassy lawn.

Remove the low-tack tape, the cutting die, and the masks. Color the images with Copic markers.  Set the image panel die-cut aside.

Choose a piece of patterned paper from the Retro Summer 6x6 Patterned Paper Pad by Craft Consortium Ltd to use as a background layer. Place it onto the base of a stamping platform, secured with low-tack tape and/or magnets. Position the Celebrate Strip Red Rubber Cling Stamp by Darkroom Door so that it aligns to the top and left of the 6x6 patterned paper. Ink the stamp with Blue Belle VersaFine Clair Ink by Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko and stamp. Re-ink and stamp again if needed to attain a good impression. Remove the stamped patterned paper from the stamping platform and heat set.

Trim the background panel to 4.125" wide and pat it with an anti-static pouch. Use magnets and/or low-tack tape to secure the panel to a magnetic mat. Use magnets and/or low-tack tape to secure a confetti or other festive stencil over the stamped patterned paper panel. Use magnets or a ruler (or a panel of masking paper) to cover the stamped portion on the left. Sponge embossing ink over the stencil. Add clear glittery embossing powder to the inked and stenciled area, dump the excess back into the container, and heat set.

Remove the ruler, stencil, and low-tack tape from the background. Heavily edge the panel with Blue Belle VersaFine Clair Ink and heat set. Adhere the panel to a white textured A2 card. Adhere the image panel die-cut to finish the card.

Purrfect New Year Calendar Card

Greetings! It's Tuesday so you've got Kathi here to share a project with you. But before I get to all of that, I wanted to remind you that there's a Winter Sale over at Topflight Stamps that ends tonight, December 31st at 12:59 p.m.!

Our theme this week is "Anything Goes". I've made a calendar card with the That Lovin' Feline Clear Polymer Stamp Set by Visible Image, Filigree 8x8 Stencil by Lavinia Stamps, VersaFine Clair Inks by Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko, Bubble Talk Die Set 72 by AALL and Create, and sentiments from by Heffy Doodle and Time for Tea Design cat-themed stamp sets.

Here it is!

Use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink by Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko to stamp the long tall cats from the That Lovin' Feline Clear Polymer Stamp Set by Visible Image.

Use Copic markers to color the cats and use a white gel pen to add highlights to their eyes. 

Place a ruler or scrap paper horizontally under the right cat to cover the bottom portion of the image panel. Brush Cheerful VersaFine Clair Ink by Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko over the masks to add color to the top part of the image panel. 

Place the Filigree 8x8 Stencil by Lavinia Stamps over the image panel and secure with tape, magnets, etc. Brush Paradise VersaFine Clair Ink over the stencil on opposite sides.

Brush Verdant VersaFine Clair Ink over the stencil onto edges of the blue ink towards the center of the panel. Wipe the excess ink off of the stencil again. Brush Cheerful VersaFine Clair Ink over the stencil onto the center part of the image panel. 

Place the ruler on the dividing line so that it's now covering the top part of the image panel. Brush Paradise VersaFine Clair Ink over the ruler onto bottom of the image panel. Heat set the entire panel.

Cut white cardstock with two of the speech bubbles from the Bubble Talk Die Set 72 by AALL and Create. Use Summertime and Cheerful VersaFine Clair Inks to add color to the speech bubble die-cuts. Heat set the die-cuts.

Use Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink to stamp select words or phrases from different sentiment or cat themed stamp sets to form the sentiments onto both of the speech bubbles. Stamp the hearts onto the bubble and color with a red marker. Heat set the sentiment speech bubbles and adhere to the image panel as shown. 

Use Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink to stamp the "lovin' feline" sentiment from the That Lovin' Feline Clear Polymer Stamp Set on the bottom of the image panel as shown. Use Morning Mist VersaFine Clair Ink to stamp the line of pawprints. Use a black colored pencil to touch up the pawprints if necessary. Trim the image panel to 5.5" square and edge with a black marker.

Brush Summertime and Cheerful VersaFine Clair Inks over a ruler onto a piece of white cardstock that is slightly larger than the calendar. Heat set. Adhere the calendar to the inked panel using strong tape or glue.

Cut a piece of textured white cardstock to 5.75" square. Sponge Cheerful VersaFine Clair Ink around the outer .5" of the square. Place a checkerboard stencil over the inked area and sponge Summertime VersaFine Clair Ink over the stencil to blend with the orange ink. Heat set then use this layer to mat the image panel. Adhere the matted image panel to a black 6" x 6" card.

Relax! A Katkin Krafts Card

Surprise! You've got Kathi here Thursday instead of my usual Tuesday. I was swamped with social-family-peopley stuff for almost an entire week, so I was running behind and feeling stressed. Luckily, the lovely Cornelia switched days with me which relieved the pressure. Whew! This week the Topflight Stamps is showcasing Katkin Krafts' wonderful stamps. Being me, I had to get the Just Chillin' Clear Photopolymer Stamp Set because it features a zen boho cat, some gorgeous flowers, and a really great sentiment (which I didn't use).

Here's my first card using this great set!

Tuxedo Black Memento Ink by Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko was used to stamp the focal cat image from the Just Chillin' Clear Photopolymer Stamp Set by Katkin Krafts twice — once onto white cardstock and once onto repositionable sticker paper, which was fussy-cut to create a mask.

Copic markers were used to color the wonderful cat and his pillow, then the fussy-cut sticker mask was adhered over the colored image.

A ruler was placed horizontally about 2" up from the bottom of the image panel. Sundance Elements Ink by Lavinia Stamps was brushed over the ruler and the masked image onto the image panel to color the background. 

The ruler was temporarily removed and the Profusion Stencil 84 by AALL and Create was placed over the image panel. The ruler was positioned back in place, covering the bottom part of the image panel. Sundance Elements Ink was brushed over the stencil and the ruler to add subtle tone-on-tone pattern to the background.

The stencil was removed and the ruler was moved to cover the top part of the image panel. Pine Elements Ink by Lavinia Stamps was brushed over the ruler onto the lower part of the image panel to add color to the bottom of the image panel.

Using a stamping platform, the "Relax" sentiment from the Relax Sentiments Unmounted Red Rubber Stamp Set KTZ222 by Katzelkraft was positioned facedown on the image panel, then lifted by the platform's lid. A Post-It Note was used to cover the two sentences below the word "relax", Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink by Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko was used to ink the stamp, the Post-It  Note was removed, and the sentiment was stamped onto the image panel.

The stamp was removed and the phrase "Hit the Pawse Button" and "It's your Purrday" stamps from the Kitty Capers Clear Stamp Set by Time for Tea Design were positioned facedown on the image panel, then lifted by the platform's lid, inked with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink, and stamped.

The image panel was removed from the stamping platform and heat set. The panel was trimmed to 4.75" x 6.75" and adhered to a 5" x 7" card.

Orla the Owl Card.

 It's Tuesday, so you've got Kathi here to share a project with you.. This week my teammates and I are showcasing Hobby Art Ltd.'s fabulous products. 

I decided to create a card with the fantastic Orla Owl Clear Polymer Stamp Set by Hobby Art Ltd. which is comprised of Orla the Owl, the moon, stars, several pieces of foliage, a wooden fence post, and a barbed wire stamps.

Here it is!

As you can see, Orla is a very large stamp, so I opted to create a slimline card with her. Since she's so detailed, I kept the design clean and simple. I will likely add a sentiment to the card when I decide who should receive it and for what occasion.

The owl from the Orla Owl Clear Polymer Stamp Set by Hobby Art Ltd was stamped onto white cardstock and onto label paper with black Copic-friendly ink.

The label paper version was fussy-cut and placed over its counterpart on the image panel as a mask. 

The moon was positioned over the owl's head and shoulders and stamped onto the image panel using grey Copic-friendly ink. It was also stamped onto label paper, fussy-cut, and placed atop the moon on the image panel.

Blue Lagoon Elements Inks by Lavinia Stamps was brushed over the masked images onto the image panel using the largest of the brushes from the Black Blending Brushes by Time for Tea Designs, Then  Dark Denim Elements Inks by Lavinia Stamps was brushed around the edges of the card towards the center of the card, taking care to blend the blues where they overlapped.

The masks were lifted and Orla and the moon were colored with Copic markers. A white gel pen was used to add catchlights to her eyes.

A piece of white cardstock was cut to 8.75" x 8", scored at 4", and folded to form a card. A piece of scrap paper was placed inside the card, then a Blender by Lavinia Stamps was used to sponge Dark Denim Elements Inks by Lavinia Stamps around the edges of card. This step created a card front that matched the image panel perfectly.

Valentine's Day Cards

 It's Tuesday which means you've got Kathi to share a project with you. This week's theme over at the Topflight Stamps blog is "Anything Goes".  I'm stuck on Valentine's Day and have created two cards for the holiday using my new Arty Hearts Collage Red Rubber Cling Stamp and Arty Hearts Collage Small Stencil by Darkroom Door.

These cards are a bit of a departure for me as there's no coloring, no masking, and no fussy-cutting.

The Arty Hearts Collage Red Rubber Cling Stamp was stamped with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink by Imagine Crafts for both cards since it yields a rich dark black and handles fine detailed stamps beautifully.

A panel of 140 lb. Mixed Media cardstock was brushed with Confetti and Emperor Red Elements Inks by Lavinia Stamps. A baby wipe was used to blend the colors on the panel, misted with water, and  heat set.

Using a stamping platform, the Arty Hearts Collage Red Rubber Cling Stamp was stamped onto the inked background with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink by Imagine Crafts.

Water and a paint brush were used to remove ink from each of the hearts. The coordinating Arty Hearts Collage Small Stencil by Darkroom Door was placed over the hearts and the hearts were watercolored with diluted Raspberry Infusions by PaperArtsy, diluted Crimson and Brilliant Red Brusho Crystal Colors by Colourcraft. Pink Jellybean, Dusky Rose, and Red Brick Prism Inks by Hunkydory Crafts and Emperor Red and Confetti Elements Inks by Lavinia Stamps were all smooshed onto a craft mat, misted with water, and painted onto the hearts. 

When all the hearts were painted, the panel was heat set, trimmed, edged with black Distress ink, matted with black cardstock, and adhered to a red A2 card. 

Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink by Imagine Crafts was used to stamp the sentiment from the ever useful Classic Sentiments Clear Stamp Set by Heffy Doodle onto a left over piece of inked cardstock. This was heat set, cut with a die, edged with black ink, and adhered at the top of the card.

The kraft card was really quick to create. Using a stamping platform, the Arty Hearts Collage Red Rubber Cling Stamp was stamped onto a panel of kraft cardstock with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink by Imagine Crafts, then heat set.

The coordinating Arty Hearts Collage Small Stencil by Darkroom Door was placed over the hearts on the kraft panel. Dusky Rose, Red Brick, Red Chili, Smoked Paprika, and Cherry Walnut Prism Inks by Hunkydory Crafts and Emperor Red and Paprika Elements Inks by Lavinia Stamps were all smooshed onto a craft mat, misted with water, and painted onto the hearts. Sadly, a some ink seeped under the stencil, so I brushed the Emperor Red and Paprika Elements Inks across the panel to camouflage my mistake. The panel was trimmed and edged with Emperor Red Elements Ink.

Using a stamping platform,  Emperor Red Elements Ink was used to stamp the Herringbone Texture Red Rubber Cling Stamp by Darkroom Door repeatedly over a 4" x 5.25" piece of kraft cardstock. When done, the panel was edged with the same red ink and adhered to a kraft A2 card.
