Welcome to the Topflight Stamps Blog. It's Clare here with you today and I wanted to share a recent journal page. I also have some very exciting news for Paperartsy fans! Look for our Stop Press at the bottom of the page.
For this project I used Carabelle Studio by Birgit Koopsen 'Loving Thoughts'. I wanted a very gentle feel to this project, to go with the delicate bloom.
When I work in my journal I love adding in layers with paper, paints, stencilling and stamping. I worked very loosely with watercolour crayons and then intensified the colours around the edges of the page with Paperartsy Fresco Acrylic paints.
I stamped the sentiment from the loving thoughts set with a watermark ink pad and used white EP. I added some different texture with a piece of burlap & painted cardstock.
I really enjoy letting loose and flicking some paint around! A few splatters breaks up the space in the centre and leads you to discover something new that you didn't see before.
