My Sweet Friend

Hi friends. Alanna here on the blog today with a pair of clean and simple friendship cards. It's no secret that I adore the Fairy Foragers set from Lavinia. If you want to see other projects I have made using this set, click here and here

Also, don't forget that there is still a sale going on through December 31st where you can save up to 25% off your entire order. Look at the bottom of this post for all the details.

For today's cards, I started by using the Boxes 6 Up stencil from Darkroom Door. I blended on some aqua ink over top of the stencil directly onto my A2 white notecards. After my stenciling was done, I added some ink spray to the backgrounds. When they were dry, I took 3 of the images from the Fairy Foragers set and stamped them using Versafine Claire Nocturne ink.

I finished off the cards by adding in some sentiments from a set from my stash. That completes these friendship cards. Wouldn't it be great to make a bunch of these and send them to all your friends? Hopefully I can get these in the mail. :)

Darkroom Door Celebrate Card

Hello crafty friends!  Ericka with Strangely Creative here and today I'm cleaning up my desk and playing with some gel prints I have in my stash to make a mixed media card. I love making gel prints but the problem is that I can't just stop at one. My goal this year is to use more items/prints in my stash and those supplies I haven't touched for in awhile. That being said, I had played around with the Darkroom Door Warm Wishes and Number Medley to see if I could use some toner and foil with them.

It was a fun experiment and I love the grungy shiny look on my gel press print. I stamped the Darkroom Door Birthday Greetings and clear heat embossed it. Then, I added some white gel pen and a hand drawn frame around my card to finish things up.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a chance to use up some of the supplies in your stash this year!

Crafty Individuals - Where did the Sun go?

Hi Everyone,

Cornelia here today. This week's theme on the Topflight blog is anything goes. My favorite theme! I used a fun stamp from Crafty Individuals  - one of my favorite British stamp companies. I love their whimsical stamps. and this one is perfect for winter. It's appropriately titled Where did the Sun go?
I smooshed the background with distress inks. I stamped the birds on it. I stamped the birds again onto a piece of scrap paper and colored them with alcohol ink markers. Cut them out. I heat embossed some snowflakes onto the background. Left it without a sentiment - I don't think it needs one.
I hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting.
See you next week with more Topflight Stamps inspiration.
But wait - we have a great sale going on right now:

Happy Days!

Hello Crafty Friends, Mary Key here! Today is "anything goes" and I am going to use a stamp from Crafty Individuals called Happy Days Hooray Carousel Since 2024 is right around the corner, this stamp looks like a good stamp to make a card. I can see it as a Birthday Card or sending some happy mail. I will be using Lavinia Dinkles colors are Sepia, Brown and Sea Blue.

I am going to use some watercolor paper to add some color by spritzing water to my mat and some Lavinia Dinkles which I sprinkle some color using my fan brush. I use Sepia first and just do some smooshing my watercolor paper and heat dry. Next color I then use Sea Blue and heat dry, and lastly Brown. I like how my watercolor paper looks when it dries. I then stamp using some versamark and white embossing powder. and heat, using my heat gun. I do another stamp with black ink and use coloring pencils, then fussy cut my image.

I then lay my watercolor paper onto white cardstock and my card is done.

Thank you stopping by and keep creating!

2024 Calendar Card

It's Tuesday so you've got Kathi here to share a project with you. It's an Anything Goes week, so I decided to make another calendar card. 2024 is the Year of the Dragon, but I don't have an Asian Dragon Stamp so I decided to use the Gentle Dragon Unmounted Rubber Stamp by Crafty Individuals.

But before I get to my project, I wanted to remind you that there's a sale going on right now at Topflight Stamps. Since you were very nice this year, you should treat yourself to some fabulous new goodies!

Here's my calendar!

Use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink by Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko to stamp the Gentle Dragon onto white cardstock. Color the image panel with Copic markers.

Cut a piece of white cardstock to 5.25" x 8.25" to create a background panel. Sponge or brush the entire background panel with Mermaid Elements Ink by Lavinia Stamps. Place the Glory Stencil by Lavinia Stamps onto the inked background. Brush or sponge both Mermaid and Dark Denim Elements Inks by Lavinia Stamps over the stencil onto the background panel. Edge the background panel with the same inks.

Adhere the dragon panel and the calendar as shown. Adhere to a 5.5" x 8.5" black card.

Please pop over to my blog, Kat's Tales of Stamping, for more information.

Merry Christmas!!!

Hello everyone.  I want to wish you a warm and merry Christmas today.  MEL PILLING here with a little Christmas card featuring the lovely Hedgy 2 stamps by Craft Emotions. This company makes such charming stamps.

I did a quick background using Distress Inks wet on my mat. I pushed the card into the inks and dried between dips so they don’t get muddy. I stamped the hedgehog on clean card with Versafine Clair Nocturne  and coloured him with watercolour markers. Then cut him out and glued him onto background. I drew a quick Santa hat for him and glued it on. I put a quick hill under Hedgy with watercolour markers.

Happy Holidays and Jingle all the Way

 Hi Everyone,

Cornelia here today with an extra post. I wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays, whatever you prefer. And I have a last Christmas card for you.
I made the backgrounds with trees form Winter Wonderland - stamped them in grey and black. I took a generic tag die, water color paper and stamped the Christmas Tree stamp on it with Lavinia Elements ink. I then sprayed it with Lavinia Mystical Mica spray and let it dry. Stamped and colored the cat and cut it out. I used some gold threaded twine for the top of the tag. Assembled everything and added some Stickles to the cat and enamel accents to the tree.
I hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting. Enjoy your Holidays
and see you next week with more Topflight Stamps inspiration.

New Year, New Beginnings - 2024

Hello Crafty Friends, Mary Key here! This week at Topflight Stamps is New Years/New Beginnings.  I am going to use Katzelkraft. They are just fun to create anything that you can imagine or ideas going through your creativity ideas. I will be using Robots 1 KTZ209, and Holiday Quotes KTZ207, along with Lavinia Acetate Circle Masks and Lavinia Dinkles.

I will also be using smooth watercolor paper for my little robots and also for my background. I first will mask the moon using Lavinia Acetate Circle Mask and draw the circle using the large circle and masking fluid.

After drying, I started to use Lavinia Dinkles Deep Yellow. I spritz some water onto my matt and then used my fan brush to add a little of Deep Yellow onto where I spritz some water and then started smooshing my watercolor paper.

I lightly dry it with my heat gun. Then the next color I used Burnt Orange, smooshed my watercolor paper and also heat dry a little.

Next color I used some Magenta (spritz water onto my matt and a little Magenta) smooshed my watercolor paper in several areas and lightly heat dry using my heat gun. and the next color is Paynes Grey same way onto my matt. I smooshed my watercolor paper in several areas and heat dry lightly. Paynes Grey is rich in color. It came out so nice.

I then started to use some metallic watercolor paints in silver and used my fan brush to tap lightly to get some stars in several sizes and heat dry lightly and added some acrylic white paint.

After my watercolor paper is dry, I took the masking fluid off. Then added some sketching of craters.

I did some watercoloring on the Robots 1 KTZ209. I used two different Robots and did some fussy cutting them out.

I decided to make another watercolor background using Blueberry, Amethyst and Paynes Grey. I like how it looked and did some silver metallic watercolor to look like stars.

Now to add the Robots and the sentiment from Holiday Quotes with the sentiment Happy and New Year with white embossing powder. Here are two completed cards, I used white cardstock for both of my cards.

Thank you for stopping by and keep creating!
