Do You Believe in Magic? Mixed Media Shadow Box

Welcome to the Topflight Stamps Blog!

Irit is here again and this is my free post made for Topflight Stamps shop.

As you know this is this week when the designers can pick their own style of stamps and to make the project that speaks for them in the best artistic way.

So for me it was my very first time  of working with Lavinia stamps and making this magical project in my own creative Mixed Media way.
I made this shadow box over the white plastic shadow frame.

Every single inch was covered with mediums, paints,  texture paste over stencils and chipboards were added for the more texture and interest.

The inside of the box was made with stamped image using Lavinia Guinevere Mermaid stamp.
I stamped the image over white cardstock and heat embossed it with black embossing powder.
Then I added more texture with a stencil that was heat embossed with sparkle powder.
The inside chipboards were added inside.

The sentiment was stamped with Lavinia Those who don't believe in magic sentiment stamps, die cut and added on the box corner. The sentiment was arranged on a piece of a real fishing net.

Here are the stamps I used to make this altered shadow box :

I really hope that you liked my Mixed Media stamped project and love the Lavinia stamps that you can buy from Topflight Stamps.

Carabelle Stamps Encaustic Canvas

Hello Topflight Stamps fans! Karen Bearse here today with a very unique encaustic canvas. I recently had a play date with a group of creative friends & we got to play with encaustic. I have actually taught classes using this medium and it was fun to get waxy again.

This canvas was a lot of fun to make, with lots of cool layers. The stamping definitely adds excitement to the piece.

The stamp set I played with is designed by Birgit Koopsen of Carabelle Studios. It is called Scribbled Leaves & Textured Circles. I love all the potential of this set! So many fun pieces to investigate.

Thanks for joining me on Topflight Stamps today! If you want to see a break down of how I made my canvas you can check out the tutorial here. See you next week. Make sure you take time to play!

Celebrate your Day

Welcome to the Topflights Stamp blog.  Steph here again showcasing another wonderful stamp from Crafty Individuals - Inky Borders and Studio Light - Butterflies.

I chose to stamp all images as one to create a background, adding selective color to the images.

I inked the panel with brown ink, then matted the panel with black cardstock then orange cardstock.  I wrapped ribbon around the panel then aded it to a black panel.  Coordinating twine was tied to the knot.

Using the phrase from Studio Light - Butterflies - I stamped each word individually on orange cardstock, then die cut.  After matting with a larger black die, I added the phrase to the card with foam adhesives for dimension.

Thanks for stopping by and please pop by my blog for more crafty inspiration.

See you next Tuesday.

Tea time with Couture Creations

Welcome to the Topflights Stamp blog.   Steph here again showcasing stamps from Couture Creations.   If you haven't checked out the Topflight store yet, you need to see the variety of stamps in the store.  They have some amazing stamps from all over the world.

Today I'm using Enchanted Tea Party.

I created a background using the tea cup and watch, repeatedly stamping each in black ink on a panel of white.

Next, I wrapped Whisker Graphics twine around the panel and adhered the panel to a black card.

I stamped the tea pot on another panel of white and die cut.  I added it to a larger black circle, then placed it on the card using foam adhesives for dimension.  The phrase was added next to the tea pot.

I love the black and white effect on this card.

Thanks for stopping by and please pop by my blog for more crafty inspiration.

See you next Tuesday.

Tea for one!

Welcome to the Topflight Stamps blog, It's Clare with you today and this week we are all taking part in the Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!  Now am I am a coffee lover and my favourite tipple is a café Latte but today I am playing with a quintessentially English beverage...TEA!

On a large tag I painted with Paperartsy paints and stencilled onto the tag.

Using the Cup of Tea set from Darkroom Door I stamped onto some Dictionary pages using the tea pot, teapot and the large sentiment 'A Woman is like a teabag'

I fussy cut around the tea cup, tea pot and fashioned a tea bag around the sentiment.

After attaching some washi tape and dripping some brown ink down the tag I attached my tea for one to complete my tag.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  You can visit my blog by clicking here

Happy crafting,

Clare

Remember When Steampunk art page

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my weekly Topflight Stamps shop post.
Once in a couple of weeks the designers make craft projects in their own free style using any stamps from the Topflight shop that fit their personality and preference.
So for me it's usually some Mixed Media project and this week it's a Steampunk art page made with three different stamp sets.
I called it Remember When as it's vintage, dark and looks like something from the past.

First I made the background with Studio Light Basic Background stamp using white pigmented ink and then heat embossed it with white embossing powder. Over all upper layers it's pretty hard to see this part of stamping, but after adding paints and mists it acted as resist and you still can see a lot of stamped background on the left of this piece.

The second part of stamping was stamping over vellum of Carabelle studio Steampunk: Machine a remonter le temps- Steampunk time machine stamp using black embossing powder and you can see the part of this stamping inside the Steampunk chipboard frame.

The last stamp set used to make this art page was Carabelle Studio Papillion Steampunk or Steampunk  butterfly stamp and its was stamped over white cardstock and heat embossed with black powder.
I added some metal cogs over this fantastic butterfly image and hand cut it to be my main image.

Everything else on this art page are paints, mediums, chipboards, mists and... Whatever we use to make the real Mixed Media project after we used our beloved stamps.

Stamps used to make this page:
Steampunk time machine

Steampunk Butterfly
