Blast Off with Katkin Krafts!

Hello, Lisa Hoel here. This week our Topflight Stamps brand focus is on Katkin Krafts. They have many fun designs available! I chose to use the "Fly Me to the Moon" stamp set. I love the detail in it.

I chose a slim line card format and paired the space stamp with a sentiment from the Visible Images Birthday Wishes set. I used watercolors to colorize the image after embossing it with Black embossing powder and also spritzed Glimmer Mist through a stencil around the edges.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out the Topflight Stamps store for a wide selection of different and hard to find stamps, stencils and other paper crafting supplies from all around the world! Also keep an eye on the Topflight Stamps blog. There is new inspiration posted daily!

Tracy Evans Blackbird Slimline Star Cards

Hi friends!  It's Autumn Clark from SewPaperPaint with you today to share a couple of slimline neon cards.  I've been addicted to neon paint this year and decided to throw in a couple more cards before the seasons change and my colors preferences follow suit.  I made a couple of prints with my 8x10" Gel Press using neon paints to use as the base for these two cards.

For the pink card, I pressed my Versamark pad through the Smitten with Stars stencil and embossed in neon pink.  Then I embossed Tracy Evans' Flowers and Numbers in black on opposite corners, layering with some dotty washi.

For both cards I added Tracy's Blackbird stamps, focusing on the stars and layering them for dimension.  On the blue card, I also stamped the blackbird and added in the Intersecting Circles stamped in Versafine Claire in Warm Breeze.  I finished both with a sticker sentiment to make them into birthday cards.  I hope you're inspired today!  xx, Autumn

Purple Lavinia Elements Slimline Scenes

Hello friends!  It's Autumn Clark from SewPaperPaint with you today to share a couple of simple slimline cards featuring gorgeous stamps and inks by Lavinia.  These cards were inspired by Fliss Owens and were recreated by many members of the Lavinia FB group.  I did mine a little different, of course.  I lightly bent my card panel to ink the center with watered Della Blue Lavinia Elements Dye Ink.  Then I dipped the top in watered Violet Chalk and the bottom in Graphite.  Then came the stamping fun.  I stamped Dandelions in Graphite and Della Blue, then the Mini Seed Head in Violet Chalk.  I embossed the Fairy Buttercups in white, then added a shadow with a purple Posca paint pen.  I added more white details with a white pen and then some Stickles over the dandelion heads.

For my second card, I used the same colorway.  I dipped the bottom half of my panel in watered Della Blue ink and let the color blend to the "sky", blotting with a baby wipe when necessary.  Then I stamped the Foxgloves in Violet Chalk and Della Blue, doing some second generation stamp here and there.  I embossed the Whimsical Whisps in white for contrast.  Finally, I added a sentiment from the Heartfelt Verses stamp set and splashed some extra ink onto the panel.  I hope these cards make you want to get inky today!  xx, Autumn

Is that banjo music ??? Paddle faster!- AALL&Create Paddle Up

Good morning!
Who doesn't like a paddle down some rushing waters while the fish attack you from all sides? I have a cute mini slimline card made with a stamp from AALL&Create today. Join me for a night kayak trip!

AALL & Create - Stencil - A4 - #121 - Smitten with Stars

Start with a base of 6.25 x 3.25 and add color with Chipped Saphire to the top. Then color two sections with Salty Ocean and the new Mariner blues. I have had these cloud dies for a while now and used them as waves instead today. Add stars with the star stencil and modeling paste to the top (this is a night trip)! Tape or glue these pieces together.

Add some shine with silver embossing powder and the accompanying wavy stamp.

I used my Brother Scan & Cut to cut the boy and the fish. Use Copic markers for color.

White heat emboss the sentiment and glue the fish.

I love how this one came out! I hope you take a look at these cool AALL&Create stamps!

PaperArtsy Watercolored Flower Slimline Card

Hi everyone!  It's Autumn Clark from SewPaperPaint with you today to share a fun slimline card made with gorgeous paints and stamps by PaperArtsy.  I had some fun making a kind of plain background using PaperArtsy Fresco Chalk Acrylics in Waterfall.  I love this color and when it's used kind of plain over a dirty Gel Press printing plate, it lifts a lot of the extra texture.  To accentuate the grunge factor, I dipped the panel in watery Distress Ink in Vintage Photo.  I glued some torn PaperArtsy Printed Tissue randomly over my background.

I did some watercoloring and fussy cutting in batches using some of Gwen Lafleur's new stamps for PaperArtsy.  I used sets EGL27 and EGL25 with some pan watercolors and a water brush.  Normally I'd use Distress Inks to watercolor, but was traveling and bought a new travel set.  Unfortunately, the pan watercolors clogged my best water brush.  Next time I will use a traditional watercolor paint brush!  I was able to fix it, however, by soaking it in hot water, whew!  I hope you've enjoyed this card and will be inspired to play with your flower stamps today!  Hugs, Autumn

Bold Slimline Card Tutorial

Happy Monday! This is Rachel Kleinman here to share a slimline card full of embossing powder!

I love how the different powders pop on the black cardstock. I started by stamping the AALL & Create Poppy Seedhead stamp with Versamagic ink and heat embossing with Brassy Twinkle Wow! embossing powder.

I used the AALL & Create Lotza Stars stencil with Cosmic Shimmer Structure Paste then put Wow! Embossing Powder in Capri on top of the paste. I hit it with my heat gun to melt the powder and also bubble up the paste a bit to give yummy texture.

I added Paper Artsy Fresco Paint in Bora Bora to the bottom and top corner. This color matches perfectly with the Capri embossing powder.

Can't have a mixed media card without some splatters! I added splatters with Glimmer Mist in Bronze Penny and Glamour Gold.

I colored the white sentiment strip with Prism Ink Canary Yellow. The yellow color will pop off the black cardstock.

Thanks for stopping in and hopefully you're inspired to pull out your embossing powders!
