Baroque Elegance From our July Guest Designer!

Hello Topflight fans, we are instituting a new 'thing' and each month we are inviting one of our fans to be a guest designer for the month! If you would like to be considered, be sure to tag your projects with #topflightstampsgd on Instagram. Our very first Guest Designer for July is Betsy Birge of Caring Heart Cards and we are excited to see what she has in store for us!

A little bit about Betsy:
I have a background in fine arts, showing my watercolors and pastels in local galleries. I have used the visual skills I learned from that over my 12-year papercrafting  journey. I particularly enjoy stamping and the versatility that I can achieve with it. I am very active on social media and appreciate the creative communities I am part of there.

Hello everyone...Betsy Birge here as Guest Designer for the month of July!
I'm very excited to be a part of Topflight Stamps!

For today's project I went for a very distressed look using the "Baroque Backgrounds" stamp from For the Love of Stamps. I chose one of the square designs and heat embossed clear ink over stamped black ink six times. I then used a stitched square die to cut them all out. I stamped the sentiment on a piece of glimmer paper using the same method and die cut that as well.

The background paper I used from Crafters Consortium already had a distressed look to it and I further distressed it by smearing on Nuvo Stone Drops and Cosmic Shimmer Gilding Polish with my finger.

I hope you enjoy this card and the look I was able to achieve with the Baroque Background Stamp.

Until next week - have fun creating!
