Greetings! It's Tuesday so you've got Kathi here to share a project with you. It's an "Anything Goes" theme this week so I made a friendship card with the Cat and Mouse SOLO177 Unmounted Red Rubber Stamp by Katzelkraft, Sun and Clouds 6x6 Stencil by Carla Creates for Vaessen Creative, CREA-Nest-Lies XXL Double Stitched Rectangles Die Set by CREAlies, AALL and Create's Sharp Tongues Ephemera Die-cuts 4, Laugh Lines Ephermera Die-Cuts 47, and Della Blue Elements Inks by Lavinia Stamps.
PSA: Before I get to my card, I'd like to let you know that whereas Katzelkraft has closed, Topflight Stamps has a lot of their wonderful stamps in stock!
Here's the card!
Use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink by Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko to stamp the Cat and Mouse SOLO177 Unmounted Red Rubber Stamp by Katzelkraft twice — once onto white cardstock and once onto repositionable sticker paper.
Fussy-cut the sticker paper version and place it over its counterpart on the image panel.
Place low-tack tape following the grass line.
Cover both sides of the sun and moon apertures on the Sun and Clouds 6x6 Stencil by Carla Creates for Vaessen Creative with low-tack tape. Place the Sun and Clouds 6x6 Stencil towards the top of the image panel. Sponge or brush Della Blue Elements Ink by Lavinia Stamps over the top of the stencil onto the image panel. Rotate the stencil and move it downwards. Sponge or brush the ink over the stencil again. Repeat this process until the cloudy sky fills the panel up to the grass line.
Remove the stencil, the masks over the Cat and Mouse, and the low-tack tape. Use Copic markers to color the mouse, cat, and the grass.
Use the third largest die from the CREA-Nest-Lies XXL Double Stitched Rectangles Die Set by CREAlies to cut the image panel. Edge the top (sky) portion of the image panel die-cut with Della Blue Elements Ink. Use a green marker to edge the grass part of the image panel die-cut.
Use the second largest die from the CREA-Nest-Lies XXL Double Stitched Rectangles Die Set to cut grey textured cardstock and use to mat the image panel die-cut. Adhere the matted image panel onto a white A6 card.
Choose sentiments from AALL and Create's Sharp Tongues Ephemera Die-cuts 4 and Laugh Lines Ephermera Die-Cuts 47 and edge them with Della Blue Elements Ink, which will cover the brown laser-burnt edges.
Adhere the sentiment die-cuts to finish the card.
