Keep Your Balance

Greetings! You've got Kathi here today. I'm a bit late sharing a project with you this week.

But before I get to my late card, here's a Public Service Announcement! Topflight Stamps is having a Labor Day Sale so you should definitely stock up!

Anyway, I created for a friend with Katzelkraft's Cat Detective Unmounted Red Rubber Stamp and the Waterwall Unmounted Red Rubber Stamp. I also used the hazard strip stamp and the "Balance" sentiment from the France Papillon 01 Cling Mounted Rubber Stamp Set by PaperArtsy. I also used the Brick Textures 6x6 Patterned Paper Pad by Craft Consortium.

Here it is!

Use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink by Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko to stamp the Cat Detective Unmounted Red Rubber Stamp by Katzelkraft onto white cardstock. Fussy-cut the Cat Detective, color him with Copic markers, and edge him with a black marker. Set him aside.

Choose one of the brick patterned papers from the Brick Textures 6x6 Patterned Paper Pad by Craft Consortium. Pat the patterned paper with an anti-static pouch. Use Morning Mist VersaFine Clair Ink by Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko to stamp the Waterwall Unmounted Red Rubber Stamp by Katzelkraft onto the patterned paper. Add clear detail embossing powder, pour the excess powder back into the container, and heat set the powder.

Select a piece of grey cardstock that will match the brick patterned paper. Trim the paper to 6" wide by 1½". Use a black chalk pencil to add sidewalk cracks and a black chalk edge to the top edge. Use an embossing ink pen to draw puddles onto the sidewalk. Add clear detail embossing powder, pour the excess powder back into the container, and heat set the powder. Adhere the embossed "sidewalk" to the bottom of the 6" x 6" patterned paper as shown. Trim the background panel to 4¼" x 6" and edge with a black marker.

Place the colored, fussy-cut Cat Detective onto the background panel and use the black chalk pencil to trace around him. Remove the Cat Detective to keep him safe.

Use the black chalk pencil to extend the traced lines to the inside and outside of the traced lines. Smudge the pencil with a tissue. Adhere the Cat Detective to the background panel.

Use Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink by Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko to stamp the Hazard/Caution Border Stamp from the France Papillon 01 Cling Mounted Rubber Stamp Set by PaperArtsy onto yellow cardstock. Trim the cardstock and edge with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink

Use brick red ink to stamp the "Keep Your Balance" sentiment from the France Papillon 01 Cling Mounted Rubber Stamp Set onto a scrap of grey cardstock. Use a rectangle die to cut the sentiment, then edge with the brick red ink.

Adhere the stamped yellow Hazard/Caution border as shown then adhere the sentiment die-cut atop it as shown.

Adhere the card front to a brick red A6 card.

Moody Mixed Media Card with PaperArtsy Frescos

Happy Friday crafty friends!
Ericka from Strangely Creative here, and today I’m sharing a moody mixed media card that has all the grungy-good vibes perfect for heading into the weekend.

Playing with Paints

I couldn’t resist diving into the brand-new PaperArtsy Fresco Acrylics in Admiral, Zinc, and Pumice. These shades together instantly gave me that moody, stormy feel I love.

To build my background, I used my brayer but instead of rolling straight, I moved in a swirl motion. This added unexpected streaks and circular textures across my plate. When I pulled the print, I fell in love with the depth and drama the paint created.

Layering Stamps & Details

For stamping, I reached for one of my all-time favorite nature sets: Alison Bomber 41 – Pressed Umbels by PaperArtsy. I paired it with my trusty Ink & the Dog Mini Script stamp for those subtle background details.

To keep the moody look flowing, I stamped using Versafine Clair inks in Pine Cone and Twilight—the warm brown and deep blue play so beautifully against the Fresco paints.

Finishing Touches

No card of mine is complete without a little extra texture, so I wrapped some natural twine around the base for a rustic feel. To finish it off, I added a strong, simple sentiment from IndigoBlu, letting the background and stamping shine.

Final Thoughts

I love how this project turned out—moody, textured, and full of little details that make you want to look closer. Perfect for sending a thoughtful note or simply enjoying as art.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! 💕 I hope you have a wonderful Labor Day weekend filled with creativity and rest.

Until next time, happy crafting!

Mixed Media Card Fun!

Hello, Lisa Hoel here. This week at Topflight Stamps our theme is "Anything Goes". I decided to have some mixed media fun with this card.

Lisa Hoel for Topflight Stamps #creativejuicefreshsqueezed #topflightstamps

The card base is a Gel Press print and I collaged some scraps of handmade paper over the top. PaperArtsy has some great texture mini stamps and I used those to stamp over the collage for visual texture. For physical texture, I used black paste through the X Background mask and sprinkled parts of it with WOW! embossing powder while it was wet (and embossed it when dry). It's all about the layers!

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out the Topflight Stamps store for a wide selection of different and hard to find stamps, stencils and other paper crafting supplies from all around the world! Also keep an eye here on the Topflight Stamps blog. There is new inspiration posted often!

Sparkly Nature Card with PaperArtsy Sara Naumann Stamps

Hello crafty friends, it’s Ericka from Strangely Creative!

Today I’m diving into one of my favorite creative combos—gel prints, sparkly textures, and beautiful nature-inspired stamps. For this card, I played with the PaperArtsy Sara Naumann 51 stamp set to create a nature card that shimmers and shines in all the right places.

Building the Background

I started with a gel press print using the gorgeous new PaperArtsy Fresco Finish colors in Watermelon, Coastal, and Admiral. These three shades blend into such a dreamy background that is vibrant yet soft enough to let the details shine through.

Adding the Details

Next, I stamped the focal images from the Sara Naumann 51 set with Versafine Clair Pine Cone ink and heat embossed them in clear powder. This gave my images a crisp outline and just the right amount of glossy texture.

But I wanted to bring in a little extra movement so out came the Sara Naumann 090 stencil! Using Spectrum Noir Glitter Paste, I added a couple more sparkling birds that really catch the light and bring that magical feel to the card.

Finishing Touch

Once the glitter paste dried, I completed the card with a simple but meaningful sentiment from the Lavinia Sentiment Stickers. Sometimes all you need is just a few words to tie it all together.

The Final Look

This project is all about texture, shimmer, and layering different mediums. Between the bold gel press colors, glossy embossed images, and glittery stencil birds, the card feels alive with nature’s energy. Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope this sparkly card inspires you to mix up your gel prints with stamping and stencil textures for your next project. Wishing you a creative and joyful close to the month and enjoy the last week of August! 💖
