Hi Everyone and welcome to the Topflight Stamps Blog! It's Jenny here, and I'm so excited to be joining you today showcasing the brand new and exclusive to Topflight Stamps Katzelkraft holiday accessories stamp sets. You can only get these from Topflight Stamps - check out this post for more information. This is the Pilgrim Holiday Acessories and More set:
The stamps go perfectly with many of the previously released critter stamps from Katzelkraft, and are perfect for giving a holiday twist (including Thanksgiving, Christmas and Halloween) to your projects. This is the Christmas Holiday Accessories and More set:
I created my card projects today with the Katzelkraft Jungle Animals and Katzelkraft Les Chiens - Dogs sets.
I wanted to keep my projects simple, so each project uses the same media - I'm using Canson XL coldpress watercolor paper and stamping in waterproof black ink (I used Versafine Onyx Black ink).
I trimmed down four pieces of the cardstock to A2 (4.25 x 5.5 inches). For my first card I first stamped the dog, then stamped it again on masking paper and fussy cut it out. I adhered it over the dog, then stamped the large christmas tree from the set of the top, and removed the mask.
I watercolored in the image with pan watercolors (mine are by Altenew) and added some shadows under the tree and the dog to ground them. When dry I adhered to a white card base, and added glossy accents to the dog's eyes and the tree baubles for shine.
For my next card, I stamped the sleigh from the accessories set first, I then stamped it again on masking paper, and masked off the sleigh. I stamped the dog over the top and then removed the mask, so that he looked like he was sitting in it! I stamped a gift from the set in the corner, and then added my own clouds with a black copic fineliner to make it look like he was dreaming about pressies! I then watercolored it in. I added glossy accents on his eyes, and some shimmer pen to the gift.
My next card uses the hippo from the Jungle animal set. I stamped him in the top corner, and then stamped the string lights just over his foot to make it look like he'd caught them as he was flying away. I added the top of the smaller tree from the set at the bottom so the lights looked like they had come off the tree. I watercolored the image in and added glossy accents to the lights, the hippo's eyes and the baubles.
My final card uses another one of the dogs, and I then stamped (without masking) one of the pumpkins onto the top of his nose at an angle. I added some 'lines' to make it look like he was balancing the pumpkin and wobbling. I then watercolored it in.
To finish each of the cards, I stamped several of the sentiments from the Katzelkraft Holiday Quotes set in Versamark and heat embossed them in gold embossing powder. I trimmed them out and adhered them to the cards.
There are so many possibilities with these sets, I'm really looking forward to playing with them some more!! You can see a full list of the supplies I used over on my blog. Have a wonderful day!

How to Make a Scene Card with Joy Crafts
Welcome to the Topflight blog! It's CraftyPaws here, and I'm sharing a custom scene card that I created for a friend who loves her two Pugs and Chihuahua. I used the Joy Crafts Love Dogs and Home Sweet Home (retired) stamp sets.
To create this single layer scene card, I first stamped the adorable pug couple from the Joy Crafts Love Dogs and then created masks for them with post-it note paper to stamp out the sofa and the arm chair behind them. Then I created masks for the sofa and arm chair so I could stamp out the fireplace, sofa table (it's actually a bistro table but I only used the top and placed it behind the sofa) and the floor lamps. Lastly, I created a mask for the lamp and stamped out the bookshelf behind it. Because the bookshelf was narrower than the width that I needed, I doodled in some extensions to the shelves, a plant, some books, and a frame around the whole unit. I also added a napping dog from an Art Impressions stamp set to represent my friend's 3rd dog. :)
To color up the whole scene, I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers with a water brush and then added in finer coloring details with some Prismacolor color pencils.
If you'd like more details on the products I used or a video tutorial on creating a scene card, please check out my blog HERE. Thanks for stopping by and joining me today!
