Going to the Beach with Crafty Individuals

Cornelia here today. This week it's anything goes on the Topflight blog.  Before summer is over I wanted to sneak in a beach card.

 I stamped the lady and seagull with Versafine ink onto water color paper. Colored with water colors. Trimmed my panel and mounted it onto a page of patterned paper, that I brushed with blue distress ink to make it match the beach theme a bit better. Stamped the beach and boats signs onto patterned paper and cut them out. Added them.

 Hello Carfty Friends! Mary Key here with "anything goes" this week. I decided to use stamps from Darkroom Door - Sentiment Stamps Happy Birthday, Darkroom Door Eclectic Stamp Candles  and Lavinia Dinkles. I used watercolor paper for my card.

First I spritz some water onto my silicone mat and a little of Lavinia Dinkles Ink Powder Yellow then a little more water, added my watercolor paper onto the color.

Then heat dry my watercolor papper. Next color I used Lavinia Dinkles Ink Powder Amber, spritz water onto my silicone mat and add a little of Amber. 

Heat dry my watercolor card and this is how it looks.

After heat dry, my watercolor paper starts to lay flat. After this added the Darkroom Door Happy Birthday Sentiment Stamp with Versafine Onyx Black ink pad. Stamped several times to fill my card. This stamp has several sentiments but I'm using it to fill my card.

Then, with some vellum stamped in black ink and Darkroom Door Eclectic Stamp Candles added clear embossing powder and heat with my heat gun. Started to tear some of the vellum and wrap to the back of my watercolor paper and this is my final card with black cardstock to make it pop.

Owl Card with Lavinia Stamps

 It's Tuesday, so you've got Kathi here to share a card with you. Before I get to today's post, I wanted to remind you about the Darkroom Door Sale that runs through the end of the month!

This week's theme on the TFS blog is "Anything Goes" and I decided to combine some of my newest Lavinia stamps with some of my older ones. I love owls and Lavinia Stamps' newest release includes some fabulous ones!

Here's a photo of the card with most of the products I used.

Here's my card with Erwin Owl Clear Polymer Stamp by Lavinia Stamps.

Erwin was stamped with Copic-friendly black ink twice. -- once onto white cardstock and once onto repositionable sticker paper. The sticker paper version was fussy-cut and placed over its counterpart on the image panel as a mask.

The Tree Den Clear Polymer Stamp was turned horizontallyand placed under Erwin's talons as a tree branch. It was stamped with brown Copic friendly ink twice -- once onto cardstock and once onto repositionable sticker paper. Once again, the sticker paper version was fussy-cut and used as a mask.

Della Blue, Violet Chalk, and Blue Lagoon Elements Inks by Lavinia Stamps was brushed over the masked images onto the image panel. 

Keeping the masks in place, Della Blue Elements Ink was used to stamp the Small Compass Clear Polymer Stamp by Lavinia Stamps three times onto the background. Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink was used to stamp the Wise Owl Script Clear Polymer Stamp below the branch. Rain Forest VersaFine Clair Ink was used to stamp the Falling Ivy Clear Polymer Stamp several times, being sure to clean and dry the stamp before repositioning it, re-inking it, and stamping again.

The masks were lifted and retained. The image panel was colored with Copic markers. 

My pouncy tool (looks like steel wool on a block) was used to pounce Violet Chalk Elements Ink to add a bit more visual interest to the background.

The image panel was trimmed, edged with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink, and adhered to a green card.

Believing makes it possible

 Hi everyone.  MEL PILLING  here today with one of my new stamps from the new Lavinia Stamps line.  I love this fairy prince. You can create so many different looks for him, because Lavinia Stamps always creates stamps that work well together so you can layer them easily.  Topflight carries them all. 

First, I stamped my fairy Prince on clean Bristol card. Then I stamped the headdress directly on to the prince.  I coloured him with pencil crayons and drew in the hair.  I then covered all with  Masking paper   I used Blender brushes with Elements inks in         Blue Lagoon and  Lime Punch.  I used my stencil with Olive  and Dark Denim  to create depth. I darkened around the prince with pencil crayons so he would stand out better.  The flowers I stamped on clean card, coloured with pencil crayons, then cut them and glued them onto the background.  I drew in vines for them with a black pen. I accented the headdress with liquid pearls and holographic glitter.

Lavinia Owl and Ink Blending

 

Hello crafty friends! Ericka from Strangely Creative here and today I am playing with this fun Erwin owl from Lavinia Stamps. He is so fun to stamp and I love his expression. I first stamped him on my Bristol cardstock in Versafine Clair Twilight Ink and clear embossed it. I then used Lavinia Elements ink in Sundance, Pine, and Henna with the blending brushes and  Lavinia Flurry stencil. 

I then used the Lavinia Elements ink in Merlot, Violet Chalk , Paprika, and Sundance and watercolored the fun owl. I finished my card by adding the Heartfelt Sentiments.

Underwater Scene with Lavinina Stamps

 Hi Everyone,

Cornelia here today. This week we are focusing on Lavinia Stamps at the Topflight blog. I also used Lavinia Elements inks for my cards. Those inks are super juicy, they react with water and they come in great colors!

I started out with brushing the background with Lavinia Elements inks (see below). I added some water splatters. Then I stamped the seahorse with Versafine ink - this ink does not react with water. I added the other fish and the kelp and the bubbles. I then used a fine brush with water only and brushed inside the bubbles and the kelp leaves. The water moves the ink away and creates a lighter feel to the areas you used i t on - just like the eater splatters move the ink away. Lastly I added glimmer gel pen accents to the sea horse and some white accents as well.
