AALL & Create Garden Scene

Hello!  You've got Colleen here with you today, as we focus on AALL & Create products at Topflight Stamps!  Flowers and butterflies from AALL & Create Gravel Script Ephemera are the stars of the stage on my card.  The background was created with several Lavinia Dye Inks, swiped on a piece of watercolor cardstock, then liberally spritzed with water.  The colors I used are:  Della Blue, Bermuda, Green Parrot, Pixie Green and Olive.  When the piece was dry, I sprayed Lindy's Stamp Gang Fairy Fluff over it to create a sparkly scene.  The final touch is a sentiment from Lavinia Sentiment Stickers - Uplifting Collection.

Have a wonderful day! ~ Colleen

Seashell by the Seashore

Hello friends!  You've got Colleen here today - this week at Topflight Stamps our theme is  Beach / Ocean!  I used several items to create a moody ocean themed card.  On a couple of pieces of watercolor paper scraps, I sprinkled PaperArtsy Infusions Dye Sleight Blue powder then spritzed with water liberally.  Once dry, I used Studio Light Scenery Borders Waves die set to cut out some waves. I set those aside and used the PaperArtsy Sara Naumann Mini 118 seashell stamp to create a focal point on ivory cardstock, stamped with VersaFine Onyx Black Ink.  On the card base, I used a PaperArtsy Alison Bomber Summer Edition sentiment stamp and Lavinia Dye Ink Soft Cygnet, stamped repeatedly across the background.  Final touches were some enamel dots from my stash, and Hunkydory Classic Pearls.

Hope you have a wonderful week! ~ Colleen

Below are the watercolor paper scraps I created with the PaperArtsy Infusions Dye in Sleight Blue.  Aren't they beautiful as-is?

Look Up with Lavinia

Hello!  It's Thursday and you've got Colleen here to share a card.  This week at Topflight Stamps, we're focusing on Lavinia stamps, stencils, inks and more.  I knew I wanted to create a scene with the adorable Pipspell mouse.  I gathered the Lavinia Moon, Christmas Tree Group and Pipspell, and stamped them all in Versafine Onyx Black ink.  Then I inked up grass and sky using the following Lavinia Dye Inks:  Della Blue, Graphite, Olive, Green Parrot and Violet Chalk.  I used a yellow ink from my stash.  Once the inks were dry, I splashed some water onto the card to create a magical touch.  The sentiments from Lavinia Sentiment Stickers - Uplifting Collection were added at the end:  "Look up and breathe..."

Have a wonderful day! ~ Colleen

Flower Press Art Collection

Hello!  This is an Anything Goes week at Topflight Stamps, and I am sharing a neutral colored card featuring Flower Press by AALL & Create again!  On January 22nd, I used this same pretty stamp in a paper-pieced fashion.  For today's card, I went with a sort of clean and simple look.  On a piece of packaging I was hanging on to, I stamped the image with Versafine Onyx Black ink.  I inked the edges of the panel with Lavinia Truffle Dye Ink, a rich brown.  The panel was glued onto a kraft background card base.  My little ephemera piece is a nest image from PaperArtsy Apple Blossom Edition by Alison Bomber, stamped in the Versafine Onyx Black, trimmed, and touched up around the edges with the Lavinia Truffle Ink.  I used dimensional tape to adhere it onto the card, and underlined it with some floral embroidery trim from my stash.  Hope you have a beautiful day! ~ Colleen

Enjoy Life with Gossamer Gold

Hello crafters!  I've got a shimmery card to share with you today for Topflight Stamps, using Lindy's Stamp Gang Gossamer Gold spray.  Oh my, this is so gorgeous!  It's got a combination of walnut brown and gold hues in one spray.  First, I took a plain manila tag and spritzed it with this product, then a bit of water and hit it with a heat tool to help speed up drying. Once dry, I used the PaperArtsy Scrapcosy PS317 Stencil and Lavinia Truffle Dye Ink to create borders and a sentiment on the tag.  After mounting it on an old hymnal page and decorative paper, I added a twine bow and it's all set to give to my father in law for his birthday.  Thanks for joining me, and hope you have a great day! ~ Colleen

Pink Hearts Valentine

Hello!  This week at Topflight Stamps we are using red and pink as our theme.  I created a Valentine, focusing heavily on pink.  On a pink cardstock base, I stamped the script from Studio Light Victorian Dreams stamp set to cover the background, using Lavinia Spun Candy dye ink.  A manila tag is full of hearts, thanks to the same Spun Candy ink and a PaperArtsy Sara Naumann Hearts Stencil (PS121).  I used a strip of the Studio Light Victorian Dreams packaging to decorate the bottom of that tag, along with some rosette ribbon from my stash.  The butterflies are from that same stamp set, stamped in Morning Mist by Versafine Clair, trimmed and glued down in the centers of their bodies only so that the wings can stand up.  The sentiment was selectively stamped / trimmed from a PaperArtsy Alison Bomber Love Edition quote.  Wishing you a wonderful day! ~ Colleen

Butterfly Birthday

Hi friends. Alanna here on the blog with you today. I have a birthday card to share with you using lots of fun products and the best part is that this card came together in less than 15 minutes.

To get started, I took the Boxes 6 Up stencil from Darkroom Door and stenciled it with the Mermaid ink from Lavinia. I've mentioned it before but these inks from Lavinia are so rich and creamy and they blend like butter. I absolutely love working with them.

After my stenciling was done, I trimmed down the panel. I then stamped the Butterfly Collage image from Studio Light onto the panel at an angle. Note that this stamp seems to be out of stock but there are lots of others like this to choose from here.

I then stamped my sentiment onto white card stock which is from the Classic Sentiments set from Heffy Doodle. I added thin strips of card stock behind it and added it to my stamped and stenciled panel.

I added this panel with foam tape onto a white A2 notecard. I finished off the card by adding in some white pearls.

Find these products below in the Topflight Stamps store.

An Inky Birthday Card

Hi friends. Alanna here with you today sharing a fun and inky birthday card featuring inks and stamps from Lavinia.

To get started, I took a piece of white card stock and blended on Blue Lagoon ink all over it. Before I go further, let me just stop by saying that the inks from Lavinia go on like butter. They are so creamy and amazing to work with.

Okay, back to my panel. After the Blue Lagoon ink was on, I took the Merlot ink and blended that around the perimeter as well as part of the inner portion. I ended by taking some of the Graphite Graphite ink and blended that in just around the very edge.

I then stamped both the Red Pine Large and Red Pine Small images from Lavinia with  Versafine Claire Nocturne ink. Sidebar - speaking of Versafine Claire inks, Donna just got in the 12 newest colors. Hurry as these won't last long.

Back to the card now - I trimmed my panel down just slightly and added it to a black A2 notecard. I then took the Happy Birthday with Shadow die set from Crealies and die cut both the word and shadow portion from black card stock. I adhered them together and then added to my card with some think black foam squares and that finishes off this fun card.
