Birthday Card for a Guy!

Hello, Lisa Hoel here. This week at Topflight Stamps our theme is "Anything Goes"! I made my Dad a mixed media birthday card using a variety of products from Topflight Stamps.

The base is a gel print background with stamping on it. Next I layered on some pieces of AALL & Create washi tape. Over that I applied some texture paste through the Stars & Rays stencil and then sprinkled on Weathered Gold WOW! embossing powder while it was still wet. Once the paste was dry, I heat embossed the powder.

A Festive Tea Party Christmas Card

Hello craft friends! Ericka from Strangely Creative here, and today I’m finally putting to use a supply I’ve been a little too good at saving. Washi lovers, you’ll understand the struggle. I adore it, I collect it, and then I get nervous about actually using it.

This time I pulled out the Tea Party washi from Penpaling Paula. It’s cheerful, whimsical, and perfect for a quick Christmas design paired with the AALL & Create Season’s Cheer sentiment.

To build the card, I lined the washi across a piece of red cardstock, keeping the pattern tight and clean. Once the panel was covered, I die cut the Season’s Cheer sentiment from glittery gold cardstock and adhered it right on top. It’s simple, bright, and definitely delivers that Christmas sparkle.

If you’re hopping along with the Coffee Lover’s Blog Hop, I hope you’re enjoying all the inspiration. If you haven’t joined in yet, follow the link and jump in. There are some great prizes waiting.

Enjoy your weekend, and happy crafting!

Creating a Vintage Mixed Media Charm

Hello friends!

Ericka from Strangely Creative here, and today I’m sharing a step-by-step tutorial for a vintage-inspired mixed media card using some amazing AALL & Create supplies. If you’re a fan of creating layered, nostalgic designs, this project is for you. Let’s dive in!

Steps to Create the Card:

  1. Background Preparation - I  started with a gel press print featuring a book page. The page added both texture and a timeless feel to my card.

  2. Stamp the Inking Gears - I used the AALL & Create Inking Gears stamp and Versafine Clair Twilight ink to create subtle industrial details. The deep blue ink provides a rich contrast while maintaining a vintage aesthetic.

  3. Add Clipped Mailers Ephemera - I added the AALL & Create Clipped Mailers onto the background to evoke a sense of nostalgia. These elements contribute to the layered and storied look of the card.

  4. Highlight with Petalled Wings - I stamped the AALL & Create Petalled Wings design and painted the butterfly in colors that match the Clipped Mailers. This coordination ties the elements together beautifully, ensuring a cohesive design.

  5. Final Touches - I completed my card by adding the AALL & Create Cobalt Swallowtail washi tape for an additional layer of detail. I then finished with a sentiment from the Funny Bones Funnies Ephemera collection to add a playful yet meaningful touch.

Thank you for stopping by! I hope this tutorial inspires you to experiment with your supplies to create a charming vintage vibe in your next project. If you give this a try, I’d love to see your creations. Feel free to share them and tag me on social media.

Have a wonderfully crafty weekend!

Creating Focal Images with Washi Tape

Hi friends - Alanna here with you today with a fun card featuring the awesome new Flaming to Go washi tape from AALL & Create. This washi tape is brilliant in that you stretch out a length and then you do this repeatedly to build up your focal image, in this case this beautiful flamingo.

Once I had it entirely created, I trimmed my panel down and rounded the corners. I sat that aside and trimmed down a piece of patterned paper from the beautiful Ombre paper pad from Craft Consortium. I stamped my sentiment onto it, which is from one of my favorites, the More Classic Sentiments from Heffy Doodle.

I adhered the patterned paper directly to my white A2 notecard and then added the flamingo focal panel with some foam tape. I decided to tilt it for some fun. I finished off the card by adding in some gems from my stash.

It would be so easy to create multiples of these cards in no time. And if you are interested in other washi tapes like this, click here. AALL & Create has several like this.

Find all the products I used for my card below in the Topflight Stamps store. Crafty hugs! ~ Alanna

Happy Rabbits

Hi Everyone,

Cornelia here today. This week it's anything goes on the Topflight blog. I went with the cute Rabbits from AALL&Create.
I used one of the backgrounds from my stash. Added lots of splatters with a fan brush. I stamped the rabbits onto scrap paper. Colored them with alcohol ink markers. Added Washi tape on the side as well as for the sentiment.
I hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting.
See you next week with more Topflight Stamps inspiration.

AALL & Create Washi Cards

Hello friends! Ericka from Strangely Creative here and today I have a couple of quick cards I made using AALL & Create washi tape. I love washi and AALL & Create has a beautiful variety that are a must have. When you place the washi together you can create a gorgeous picture. Today I used the Midsummer washi with the words from the Nightshade washi.

I had so much fun, I decided to make another card using the Letter Back Home and added some strips from the Nightshade washi. There are so many ways to use these beautiful tapes and I can't wait to add some to my journals.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope have a chance to get creative this weekend!

Spring Chickens

    Hi Everyone,

Cornelia here today. Our theme this week is spring. And what's better than flowers and some spring chicks!
I used a background from my stash, that I made with a gel plate and a stencil from AALL&Create. I stamped the chicks onto scrap paper and colored them with alcohol ink markers. Stamped the chicks and flowers onto the background and added the cut out chicks. I die cut my card and wanted to mount it onto a solid colored background, but did't like the way it looked. So I sponged the remining frame on darker colors and glued it all onto a white card base. Added some Washi tape instead of a sentiment.

I hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting.
See you next week with more Topflight Stamps inspiration.
