Spooky!

Greetings!  It's Tuesday so you've got Kathi here to share a project with you. BUT, before we get to that I wanted to remind you that you have a little less than 24 hours to take advantage of the Labor Day Sale! Treat yourself, treat a friend, buy your holiday gifts early! This week's theme is Halloween, which is my favorite holiday! I love everything about the holiday including creating projects for it, 

Here's my card created with the Dreaded Damask Cling Rubber Stamp by Indigo Blu, the Skull n Roses Unmounted Rubber Stamp by Crafty Individuals, and a sentiment from the Halloween Collection Clear Stamp Set 1 by Melina Dahl for That's Crafty. I also used six colors of Elements Premium Dye Inks by Lavinia Stamps and Clear Gloss Embossing Powder by Wow.

Ink the Dreaded Damask Cling Rubber Stamp by Indigo Blu with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink by Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko and stamp it onto a panel of Mixed Media paper to create the image panel. Heat set.

Brush Lemon Drop Elements Premium Dye Ink by Lavinia Stamps onto the center of the stamped panel. Brush Sundance Elements Ink slightly overlapping both sides. Brush Russet Orange Elements Ink on both sides of the darker yellow inked area. Continue this pattern using Mulberry, Merlot, and Flying Fig Elements Inks. Heat set the panel, trim, edge with a black pen, and set it aside.

Use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink by Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko to ink the Skull n Roses Unmounted Rubber Stamp by Crafty Individuals and stamp onto white cardstock. Fussy-cut the image, color with alcohol markers, and edge with a black marker.

Brush a strip of Mixed Media paper with Lemon Drop Elements Premium Dye Ink. Heat set. 

Pounce an anti-static pad onto the inked strip. Use Russet Orange Elements Ink to stamp the "Spooky" sentiment from the Halloween Collection Clear Stamp Set 1 by Melina Dahl for That's Crafty onto the strip. 

Add Clear Gloss Embossing Powder by Wow! to the wet ink. Pour the excess powder back into the container. Heat set the embossing powder. Let the heated powder cool, then use a Sentiment Frame Die Set to cut the sentiment. Edge the interior part of the die-cut with Flying Fig Elements Premium Dye Ink. Heat set. Use the same die to cut textured black cardstock.

Adhere the Dreaded Damask to a black textured A2 card. Adhere the colored, fussy-cut Skull n Roses as shown. Adhere the framed sentiment to finish the card.

Happy Father's Day

 Greetings! It's Tuesday which means that you have Kathi here to share a project with you! This week's focus is on Indigo Blu and their wonderful products! 

Here's a Father's Day card created with the "Weird Is My Normal" Cling Mounted A6 Stamp Set by Indigo Blu.

Use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink by Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko to stamp the Steampunk gentleman from the Weird Is My Normal Cling Mounted A6 Stamp Set by Indigo Blu twice — once onto white Copic-friendly cardstock and once onto repositionable sticker paper.

Use Copic markers to color the focal image. Place a strip of Bolted Layers Washi Tape 106 by AALL and Create under the colored image. Fussy-cut the sticker paper version of the Steampunk gentleman and place it over its counterpart on the image panel as a mask.

Place the small rectangle from the Snap Thoughts DI-90 Die Set by AALL and Create blades down on the image panel and secure with low-tack tape. Run the combination through your die-cut machine. 

Remove the image panel die-cut from the cutting die. Brush light grey dye ink over masked image and on a scrap of white cardstock. Use an Isopropyl Alcohol-filled Fine Spray Mister by Spectrum Noir to spray the image panel die-cut. This will add white speckles to the image panel die-cut and will blend the ink but won't pill the paper.

Remove the mask from the Steampunk gentleman. Use a dark grey marker to darken his pupils, then use a white gel pen to add catchlights. Use a fineliner and/or other Copic markers to touch up the image. Cut a piece of black cardstock so that it's slightly larger than the image panel die-cut and use this to mat the image panel. Set aside.

Select a piece of patterned paper from the Ink Drops - Midnight 6x6 Patterned Paper Pad by Craft Consortium Ltd. to use as a background panel. Trim it to 4.25" wide. Use a B39 Copic to edge the panel. 

Place the grey-inked cardstock scrap onto the base of a stamping platform. Place the "Happy Father's Day" sentiment stamp from the Classic Sentiments Clear Stamp Set by Heffy Doodle facedown on the scrap. Use Medieval Blue VersaFine Clair Ink by Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko to ink the sentiment stamp. Use a sentiment strip cutting die to cut the sentiment. 

Cut gold metallic cardstock with a Steampunk Corner Cutting Die and a Fancy Sentiment Label Die. Adhere the Steampunk Corner metallic gold die-cuts to the upper corners. Adhere the image panel die-cut as shown. Adhere the stamped sentiment to the Fancy Sentiment Label Die, then adhere them below the image panel die-cut as shown.

Adhere the completed background panel to a white-speckled navy A6 card.

An Ordinary Life Card

It's Tuesday which means you've got Kathi here to share a project with you! This week is an "Anything Goes" week. I've made a Steampunk-themed card with the Sir Henry Fortesque Cling Rubber Stamp Set by Indigo Blu. The background frame and nameplates were created with Steampunk Soiree Magical Pigment Powder Set, the Moon Shadow Mists Spray Set, and Glitz Spritz Spray Set by Lindy's Stamp Gang.

Here it is!

Use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink by Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko to stamp Sir Henry from the Sir Henry Fortesque Cling Rubber Stamp Set twice — once onto a panel of Bristol Paper and once onto repositionable sticker paper.

Heat set the Bristol Paper version, then use Copic markers to color the image.

Fussy-cut the sticker paper version of Sir Henry then place it atop its counterpart on the image panel as a mask. Sponge or brush blue and grey dye inks over the image panel. Set aside. 

Remove the mask from the image panel. Use a gloss Glaze gel pen to add dimension to the buttons on his vest. Use a white gel pen to add catchlights to his eyes. Use a red glitter marker to add glittery elements to the brooch on his cravat. Set the image panel aside. 

Add water to a small container. Add a small amount of Apothecary Azure Magical Pigment Powder from the Steampunk Soiree Magical Pigment Powder Set by Lindy's Stamp Gang and mix well. Use a paint brush to apply the diluted Apothecary Azure Magical Pigment Powder to a piece of Mixed Media Paper. Heat set then apply another coat of diluted Apothecary Azure Magical Pigment Powder to deepen the color.  Heat set thoroughly, then cut with a frame die. Be sure to retain the excess painted cardstock. Use the paint brush to edge the window and exterior edges of the frame die-cut. 

Remove the spray applicator from the Gossamer Gold Moon Shadow Mist from the Moon Shadow Mists Spray Set by Lindy's Stamp Gang and tap it to add drips and drops randomly over the frame, being sure to get some onto the edges and in the mitered corners of the frame die. Heat set thoroughly.

Place the excess painted Mixed Media Paper onto the base of a stamping platform. Ink the "An Ordinary Life" sentiment stamp from the Sir Henry Fortesque Cling Rubber Stamp Set with embossing ink and stamp. Ink the sentiment stamp again with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink by Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko. Add black fine detail embossing powder to the wet ink. Dump the excess powder back into the container and heat set the sentiment. Use a small rectangle die to cut the sentiment, then edge the sentiment die-cut with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink by Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko.

Spray Gossamer Gold Moon Shadow Mist from the Moon Shadow Mists Spray Set onto a small piece of Mixed Media Paper. Heat set. Spray Cactus Gold Spritz Spray from the Glitz Spritz Spray Set  by Lindy's Stamp Gang over the same small piece of Mixed Media Paper to add additional gold accents to it. Heat set thoroughly, then use a nameplate cutting die to cut the sprayed golden Mixed Media Paper. Adhere the sentiment die-cut to the nameplate die-cut. Add the small metallic cogs to the nameplate, then secure with red mini-brads.

Adhere the frame die-cut over the image panel. Adhere the combination to a gold metallic A2 card. Adhere the nameplate sentiment to finish the card.

All Geared Up To Celebrate

Now it's time to turn my attention to my holiday card that was created with the Steampunk Elf Cling Rubber Stamp Set by Indigo Blu, the Flowers and Gears Clear Stamp Set 195 by AALL and Create, the Christmas Greetings Clear Polymer Stamp Set by Lavinia Stamps, Steampunk Sepia Stardust Spray from Lindy's Gang's  Industrial Chic Stardust Spray Set, and Brushed Nickel and Steel Shimmer Glitz Sprays from their Glitz Sprays Set.

Here it is!

Use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink by Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko to stamp the larger Steampunk Elf from the Steampunk Elf Cling Rubber Stamp Set by Indigo Blu twice — once onto a piece of Copic-friendly white cardstock and once onto repositionable sticker paper.

Use Copic markers to color the Steampunk Elf. Fussy-cut the sticker paper version and place it over its counterpart on the image panel. Sponge or brush light grey dye ink over the masked image panel to add a background. Remove the masks. Use a white gel pen to add highlights to the goggle lenses and the Steampunk Elf's eyes. Set the image panel aside.

Spray a piece of black and a piece of white mixed media cardstock with Brushed Nickel and Steel Shimmer Glitz Sprays from the Glitz Sprays Set by Lindy's Gang. Heat set and spray again to achieve a mottled silvery shine on the black cardstock. Heat set until thoroughly dry.

Spray a piece of white mixed media cardstock with Steampunk Sepia Stardust Spray from the Industrial Chic Stardust Spray Set by Lindy's Gang and heat set. Spray again to deepen the color and add to the shimmer. Heat set. This panel will be the background panel of the card.

Flatten all of the sprayed panels by placing them (one at a time) onto the base of a 

die-cut machine. Add a clean piece of cardstock atop the sprayed panel followed by both cutting mats. Run the sandwich through the die-cut machine several times until it is flat. An alternative is to place the sprayed and heat-set panel onto a magnetic surface, place a clear acrylic plate (like a cutting mat) over the panel, and add magnets onto the plate. 

Place the Steampunk Sepia Sprayed panel onto the base of a stamping platform and secure with magnets and/or low-tack tape. Place two of the gear clusters from the Flowers and Gears Clear Stamp Set 195 by AALL and Create facedown on the bottom and right side of the sprayed panel. Ink the stamps with Morning Mist VersaFine Clair Ink by Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko and stamp. Re-ink and stamp again if needed to achieve good impressions. Remove the image panel from the stamping platform and heat set the ink. Trim the panel to 4.75" x 6.75" and edge with Morning Mist VersaFine Clair Ink. Heat set the panel and set it aside.

Place the trimmed scrap of the Steampunk Sepia sprayed panel onto the base of the stamping platform and secure with magnets and/or low-tack tape. Place the "Season's Greetings" sentiment from the Christmas Greetings Clear Polymer Stamp Set by Lavinia Stamps facedown on the Steampunk Sepia scrap. Ink the stamp with  Morning Mist VersaFine Clair Ink and stamp. Re-ink and stamp again if needed to achieve good impression. Use a sentiment cutting die to trim the sentiment. Edge the sentiment die-cut with the Morning Mist VersaFine Clair Ink.

Use a Sprocket Gear die, a fancy sentiment tag die, and the shadow die from the All Geared Up To Celebrate"  sentiment to cut the Brushed Nickel and Steel Shimmer Glitz Sprayed black mixed media cardstock.  

Use the "All Geared Up To Celebrate" die to cut the Brushed Nickel and Steel Shimmer Glitz Sprayed white cardstock and adhere it over its shadow.

Use a circle die that is slightly larger than the center of the Sprocket Gear die-cut to cut the image panel. Adhere the shimmery black Sprocket Gear die-cut over the image panel die-cut so that the Steampunk Elf is framed by it.

Adhere the "Season's Greetings Sentiment" rectangle die-cut to the black fancy-tag die-cut.

Adhere "All Geared Up To Celebrate" to the top left of the background panel. Adhere the Sprocket-Gear framed image panel die-cut as shown. Adhere the fancy label "Season's Greetings" die-cut as shown. Adhere the card front to a black 5" x 7" card.

Baa Humbug - A Caffeinated Holiday Card

Greetings! It's Tuesday so you've got Kathi here today to share a project with you.

This week's theme is "Anything Goes" and I've opted to join the caffeinated fun by creating a humorous coffee-centric holiday card with the Enervy Unmounted Red Rubber Stamp by Katzelkraft, the Skullduggery Cling Mounted Stamp Set by Indigo Blu, the Snap Thoughts Die Set DI-90 by AALL and Create, and the Jolly Christmas 8x8 Patterned Paper Pad by Woodware/Creative Expressions.

Here it is!

Use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink by Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko  to stamp Enervy twice — once onto white cardstock and once onto repositionable sticker paper. Use Copic markers to color Enervy. Fussy-cut the sticker paper version of him and place it atop his counterpart on the image panel as a mask. 

Place the small wavy-edged rectangle die from the Snap Thoughts Die Set DI-90 by AALL and Create facedown on the image panel, so that the die is framing the masked Enervy. Secure the die with low-tack tape, then run the sandwich through the die-cut machine. 

Flip the secured cutting die/die-cut panel to the reverse. Use low-tack tape to secure the die-cut to the back of the image image.

Flip the panel over again so that the masked image and the cutting die are facing upwards. Secure the cutting die in place with low-tack tape. Be sure that the tape is not obscuring the image panel.

Place a piece of low-tack tape horizontally just above Enervy's paws and tail end but with the die still showing. Brush or sponge light green ink over the cutting die, the masked image, and the low-tack tape onto the image panel die-cut.

Move the low-tack tape so that it's covering the bottom part of the die-cut and the inked area. Brush or sponge the same light green ink over the cutting die, the masked image, and the tape onto the image panel die-cut. 

Place a snowflake stencil over the top part of the image panel and brush or sponge the same green ink over the stencil onto the image panel.

Remove the stencil, the die-cut, the tape, and the repositionable sticker paper mask. You should be left with a white border around the edge of the die-cut.

Brush or sponge the same light green ink onto a small piece of white cardstock and secure the inked panel to the base of a stamping platform. Use Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink by Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko to stamp "Baa Humbug" and "Naughty/Nice" stamps from the Skullduggery Cling Mounted Stamp Set by Indigo Blu onto the inked cardstock. Trim the Naughty/Nice panel and use a sentiment cutting die to cut the "Baa Humbug" panel. Edge both sentiment pieces with the same green ink.

Choose a piece of patterned paper from the Jolly Christmas 8x8 Patterned Paper Pad by Woodware/Creative Expressions and cut it to 4.25" x 6" to create the background panel. Edge it with green dye ink.

Adhere the image panel die-cut to the patterned paper background panel. Adhere both sentiments as shown. Adhere the background panel to a white A6 card.
