Lavinia Valentine Card

Hello, Lisa Hoel here. This week at Topflight Stamps our brand focus is on Lavinia (always a favorite of mine!) I wanted to make one last Valentine card so I chose a color scheme of pinks and reds. I featured the cute Pipspell mouse stamp. (Check out the card I made using his little buddy Thistlewhisk.)

I used the Pods stencil and Soft Cygnet ink to blend the background, then stamped over it with pink inks and the Wild Vines and Twisted Vine stamps.

Punny Valentines for the 14th with Katzelkraft

Hello, Lisa Hoel here. This week at Topflight Stamps our theme is "Anything Goes". I'm still going to town with the Valentine theme so I created a set of "punny" valentines like the kind you used to hand out to your grade school classmates. I'm amused by all the goofy puns on those vintage valentines so I made up some of my own to pair with the funny Katzelkraft stamp images.

To make these, I first made some masterboards to chop up for the backgrounds. I layered ink sprays, stamping and washi tape (AALL & Create #52 Blush) and used watercolor paper for the substrate.

Using both the Holey Fun and Quirky Post AALL & Create die sets, I cut the inner sections from the masterboards and a backing of plain red cardstock. I stamped various Katzelkraft animal stamps onto separate paper, watercolored them and then fussy cut them out. My whole family contributed to brainstorming the punny sentiments which I printed out using my computer. It was fun!

Love is in the Air at Topflight Stamps

Hello, Lisa Hoel here. This week at Topflight Stamps our theme is "Pink & Red" which of course is perfect for making valentines!

The base is a background made with various pink inks and Maple Crimson Starburst Spray from the Autumn Leaves Lindy's Stamp Gang set. I used a mask (stencil) from Studio Light to make a monoprint of hearts over the inky background. I couldn't resist pulling out a Katzelkraft dragon stamp (love that derpy little guy) to use for my focal image.

Valentine's Day with Lavinia Stamps

The base is a blended background made with Lavinia Elements inks. I love building scenes with Lavinia stamps – they all mix and match so well! The cute little mouse is a stamp called Thistlewhisk. The love sentiment is from the Studio Light Love die set.

Floral Postcard

Hello friends!  It's Colleen Dietrich here, bringing you some inspiration from Topflight Stamps!  This week we are featuring creations that focus on the colors red and pink.

I made a card using two stamp sets from Crafty Individuals.  If you've never seen the selection of Crafty Individuals stamps in the Topflight store, go take a peek.  So many to choose from!

The sets I used are Crafty Individuals - Floral Postcard and Crafty Individuals -  Vintage Tickets & Ephemera.  I stamped the postcard and colored the bee and the floral bouquet.  Then I inked the edges of the postcard to 'age' it.  Before adding it to the card front, I stamped the bright pink card base with a "post card" image from the Vintage Tickets & Ephemera.  This created a background with subtle interest.

Once the floral postcard was mounted to the card front, I lightly inked up a little postage stamp that says "HALF PENNY" along the bottom edge, from the Vintage Tickets & Ephemera set.  I tucked it underneath the floral postcard, along with a scattering of red pearls.  This makes a cute valentine, doesn't it?  Something different, something unexpected.

Hello, Lisa Hoel here. This week at Topflight Stamps our theme is all about using the colors Red & Pink so I'm back with another Valentine card to share! (Check out the large selection of Love themed stamps and stencils in the store.) I had some more stencil fun on this card. (Stencils are on SALE through the end of the month!) 

I laid the Studio Light Stencil Grungy Hearts onto a sheet of red card stock and then sprayed it all over with Pinkella Mysticals Mist. It has a more subtle appearance that springs into view when the light hits the shine. It make a great background for various tags cut out of different pieces of cardstock (Regency Bunting #44 and Tag Mini Album Die Sets).

The little cat is the PaperArtsy Zinis Stamp ZN35. I watercolored and fussy cut it out.

Send Someone a Love-ly Card for Valentine's Day

 Hello, Lisa Hoel here. This week at Topflight Stamps our theme is all about Valentine's Day and I'm back with another card to share! (Check out the large selection of Love themed stamps and stencils in the store.) I had some stencil fun on this card.

I laid the Studio Light Stencil Grungy Hearts onto a sheet of white mixed media card stock and then sprayed it all over with Pinkella Mysticals Mist. I left the stencil in place and sprinkled some tiny bits of Burgandy Dinkles Ink Powder onto it as well. I also spritzed on a bit of extra water to help the powder crystals dissolve. I let the stencil lie on the paper while everything dried and removed it afterwards.

Valentine's Day Card with AALL & Create

 Hello, Lisa Hoel here. This week at Topflight Stamps our theme is all about Valentine's Day! It's fun to make cards for friends and loved ones and there is certainly a large selection of stamps and stencils to choose from in the store. I made this cute card:

The background is a sheet of AALL & Create Design Paper from the Papyrus Vert #7 pack. (Handy and quick!) I stamped over that using the Heartfelt Pattern Carabelle Stencil / Stamp Set with Clair Tulip Red ink. I topped it off with some fussy cut images from the AALL & Create Stamp Set, Heart Hugs, stamped and watercolored.

Valentine's Day with Katzelkraft

Hello again. Mel Pilling coming to you today with a Valentine's themed KATZELKRAFT art journal page. First, I brayered the green Lavinia Elements Inks Olive and Lime Punch in a curve across the lower half of a Gel Press plate; then the two Elements Inks Della Blue and Blue Lagoon across the top half. I then splattered tiny drops of water with a fan brush and took an impression with my card stock. I then stamped my fox and raccoon onto the project. (You can add  some hairs here with a fine black pen if you like.) Then I stamped them a second time on a clean piece of card stock and coloured with watercolour markers and fussy cut them out. I drew a quick log, coloured directly on the project, stamped the hedgehog. Colouring directly on the project I drew a rough heart around the fox. Tip: Scribbly lines will hide any imperfections. I added some tiny painted grass lines and lumps here and there painted with elements inks before sticking on the fussy cut art animals.
