Smile!

Greetings! It's Tuesday so it's Kathi here to share a project with you. This week my teammates and I are showcasing products by Hobby Art Ltd and I decided to create a slimline shaker card using the wonderfully whimsical Meerkat Madness Clear Polymer Stamp Set with the Essential Rectangle Frame Slimline Dies and the Decorative Rectangle Slimline Dies, which are both from the Sue Wilson Slimline Collection by Creative Expressions.

Here's my card that uses the Carmen Miranda-inspired meerkat! Isn't she gorgeous? This fabulous set includes ten (10) wonderful meerkats, wonderful accessories, and some scenery stamps. If you like meerkats, you will need this set!

Here's a close-up flat photo to show the shaker contents.

The Carmen Miranda meerkat was stamped onto cardstock and masked. The image panel was cut with both the largest of the the dies from the Decorative Rectangle Slimline Die set and one the dies from the Essential Rectangle Frame Die set.

The image panel was brushed with Prism ink to change the background colors, then stenciled with two colors of Prism ink. An additional panel was brushed with the Spring Meadow Prism Ink to be used to cut the sentiment and as the backer for the shaker element.

The mask was lifted and the meerkat was colored with Copic markers. Shimmery pearlescent chalk was added as eyeshadow.

I had reserved the clamshell acrylic packaging from the dies. One was cut and adhered to the back of the image panel. Foam tape was used to create the shaker aperture. The shaker was filled, backed with brushed Spring Meadow green paper, and an embossed sparkly diecut sentiment was added. The image panel was matted with black cardstock, then adhered to a yellow card.
