Happy Easter with Hobby Arts

Cornelia here today! 

Somehow Easter just wasn't on my radar this year, so I struggled to make some last minute Easter cards. A while ago I specifically got this wonderful rabbit from Hobby Arts to make Easter cards and then all of a sudden I almost missed it......But this rabbit can be used for more than just Easter. He is such a cutie!

I stamped the rabbit and colored him with water brush pens. Added the greenery - from the same stamp set. Added the sentiment and attached some thread to it for more interest.

Beautiful Blooms by Darkroom Door Rubber Stamps

    Hi Everyone,

Cornelia here today! 

This week we are featuring Darkroom Door Rubber Stamps.

You all probably know by now that I love those cool bottles from this company. This time I decided to use them in a more conventional way....

I stamped the bottle and the flower and colored them with water colors. Added lots of splatters. Die cut the panel with a slim line die from Heffy Doodle. Heat embossed the sentiment and added it with foam tape.

Darkroom Door combined with Visible Image

    Hi Everyone,

Cornelia here today! 

I made a gel press background with Fresco chalk paints for this weeks card.

Before I stamped the butterflies, I sanded the background to make it nice and smooth. Stamped the butterflies and sentiment. I let some color drip down from the wings. Added white accents to the wings as well as some turquois Stickles. Splattered some black paint (Tattered Angels)

I also sponged around the edges and added some gems for extra interest. Trimmed off a tiny bit from the bottom and added a small strip of black paper.

Paper Rose Hugs

    Hi Everyone,

Cornelia here today! 

This week we are showcasing Paper Rose products.

I used those cute little sheep for my card. Unfortunately they are out of stock right now. I masked them and used the Ornamental Grasses from Crafty Individuals as background. Colored the sheep with markers and water brush pens. Added a strip of colored paper and die cut the layered hugs. Added some twine.

I couldn't help myself and had to pull out the insects again. They are just too much fun to not play with....Also added one of those whimsy mushrooms. I masked off the background and sponged with distress inks. Stamped with a bit of masking and colored the insects with markers and water brush pens. the sentiment is from Darkroom Door.

Paperartsy - Love Birds

    Hi Everyone,

Cornelia here today! 

This week we don't have a theme, so pulled out those cute little Love birds - my most recent acquisition.

They are so cute! I couldn't wait to play with them.

I repeatedly stamped them and then just colored tow of them with markers. Added the sticker sentiment (it's on sale right now). Can't be much easier!

Hobby Arts - Funky Chicken

   Hi Everyone,

Cornelia here today! 

This week we are showcasing Hobby Arts stamps. They make really fun stamps - if you don't know them, you might want to check them out!

I used the set Funky Chicken. I stamped the chicken on a piece of scrap paper, colored it with Inktense and markers and cut it out. I stamped it again on the craft card stock - this time with its legs and I stamped the sentiment.  I used an AALL&Create stencil for the background. Added the chicken and colored the sentiment.
