Springtime Bird Nest

Hi!  This week at Topflight Stamps, we're creating with Spring or Mother's Day in mind.  I happen to have both!  The front of my card doesn't say "Mom", but can certainly be used for Mother's Day.  With a page from the Creative Expressions Nature's Compendium paper pad, I created a base layer for my card.  On another piece of paper from the same pad, I stamped Crafty Individuals Love Is All Around Bird Nest with Versafine Onyx Black Ink, then trimmed it out and mounted on the base panel.  On vanilla and white cardstocks, I stamped an assortment of tiny things:  blossoms and a tiny butterfly from Hobby Art Hydrangea, and little tickets and a "for you" circle from Crafty Individuals Vintage Tickets & Ephemera.  Each piece was fussy cut, edges inked for a vintage look, and assembled in a cluster around a flower I had in my stash.  The little butterfly was mounted on the "for you" circle.  For the hydrangea blossoms, each one was topped with a Hunkydory Diamond Sparkles Gemstone (a silver ball).  Thanks for taking a look, and wish you a beautiful spring! ~ Colleen

Lavender Birthday

Hello!  It's Thursday, so you've got Colleen with you to share during our "Anything Goes" week at Topflight Stamps. I used a page from Creative Expressions Nature's Compendium paper pad as my inspiration for a lavender card.  On a panel of lavender paper, I inked the edges and stamped some cute blackberries from the Lavinia Blackberry clear stamp.  I stamped extra blackberry images on a scrap of white cardstock, and fussy cut them.  Then, I die-cut a light plum rectangle using a Crealies Stitched Rectangle die, and mounted it on top of the lavender / blackberry background.  On a white piece of cardstock, die-cut with a circle, I stamped a birthday sentiment from the very versatile Hobby Art Stamps Hydrangea stamp set.  Also from the same set, I stamped little hydrangea blossoms and leaves, then fussy cut those.  It was fun to create little clusters of blossoms, berries and leaves on two corners of the sentiment circle.  Each blossom got a little dot of glitter glue, too.

Missing you

 Hello! Alanna here and I'm excited to share with you these cards featuring stamps from both Hobby Arts and Lavinia. Scroll to the bottom of this post to see how you can save 15% on your purchases. 

To get started for these cards, I took the round image from the awesome Shadow Stamps set from Hobby Arts and stamped it onto a piece of white card stock that was trimmed down to be around 3x5 inches. I then stamped the beautiful Bron fairy image from Lavinia directly over top of the previous stamping. A small sentiment from the Basic Wishes set from Studio Light. I added each of these panels with foam tape onto some cream A2 notecards.

A Trio of Birthday Cards

 Hi friends. Alanna here with a trio of quick and easy birthday cards for you today. If you know me and my style, you know that I love to create simple yet effective cards that can be mass produced when needed. 

To get started on these cards, I took the awesome Shadow Stamps set from Hobby Arts and stamped the small rectangle image three different times with the Lime Soda and Queen Bee colors of the Shimmer Pearl inks from Spectrum Noir.

I then stamped the sentiments into the center rectangle which are from the gorgeous Basic Wishes set from Studio Light. I love the larger scripty sentiments in the set and how many supporting smaller sentiments there are.

I then stamped three of the fairies from the Fairy Foragers set from Lavinia. I formed a visual triangle with my placement and that completes these cards.

Hobby Arts Blue Hare

  Hi Everyone,

Cornelia here today. This week the theme is "anything goes" at the Topflight blog. 

I used the beautiful hare from Hobby Arts for this card. It was pretty simple. Stamped the hare onto water color paper and used water brush pens to color it. Stamped the sentiment. I then took a rectangular die and cut a frame out of the card base and underlaid it with black card stock.

In My Head I'm Busy with Hobby Arts!

Greetings! It's Tuesday so you've got Kathi here to share a project with you. This week my teammates and I are showcasing Hobby Art Ltd's fabulous products. Since Topflight Stamps is a sponsor of the 2022 Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop, I decided to use the super-cute coffee-sipping cozy sloth from the Sloths Clear Polymer Stamp Set by Hobby Art Ltd. with the polaroid frame from the Sloths Clear Polymer Stamp Set, also by Hobby Art Ltd. I gave the polaroid a semi-tropical background which was created with Profusion Stencil #84 by AALL and Create and Pine, Lime Punch, Della Blue, and Bermuda,  Elements Inks by Lavinia Stamps.

Here's my card.

The polaroid frame, from the Funky Pigeons Clear Polymer Stamp Set, was stamped onto white cardstock and onto repositionable label paper. 

Post-It Notes were placed around the aperture in the frame, then the coffee-sipping sloth, one of five adorable sloths from the Sloths Clear Polymer Stamp Set, was stamped into the frame and onto repositionable label paper.

The label paper versions of the sloth and the polaroid frame were fussy-cut and the fussy-cut Sloth was placed atop its counterpart on the image panel.

Della Blue Elements Ink was brushed over the the masked sloth and the Post-It Notes to add a blue background to the photo portion of the Polaroid.

The Profusion Stencil #84 by AALL and Create was placed over the image panel, then Lime Punch, Pine, Della Blue, and Bermuda Elements Inks by Lavinia Stamps were brushed over the stencil onto the image panel. 

The stencil was cleaned and put away. The masks were removed and retained for a later use. 

Copic markers were used to color the sloth and his accoutrements.

Onyx Black VersaFine Ink by Tsukineko was used to stamp the sentiment onto the polaroid frame on the image panel.

Pitt Artist pens were used to add a bit of dimension inside and around the polaroid frame, then the image panel was adhered to an A2 white card.

Celebrate National Farm Animals Day!

 Greetings! It's Kathi here to celebrate National Farm Animals Day with you! I decided to create a card with Katzelkraft's whimsically wonderful Farm Animals Unmounted Red Rubber Stamp Set. Now I could have used the pig, cow, sheep, chicken, rooster, or bunny, but I decided to use the donkey for snarky reasons. I paired the donkey with one of the humorous sayings from the Whatchamacallit Unmounted Red Rubber Stamp Set also by Katzelkraft, used a grass stamp from  Hobby Art Ltd.'s Bah Humbug Clear Polymer Stamp Set and the bell from their Get Your Goat Clear Polymer Stamp Set. The patterned kraft paper was created with the Abstract 12 Red Rubber Cling Stamp by Darkroom Door.

Here's my card.

I started the card by stamping the donkey from the Farm Animals Unmounted Red Rubber Stamp Set by Katzelkraft onto white cardstock and onto repositionable label paper, which was fussy-cut, and placed over its counterpart on the image panel as a mask.

A scrap of cardstock was torn and placed horizontally over the image panel. Della Blue Elements Ink by Lavinia Stamps was brushed over the cloud portion of a stencil to create a cloudy sky behind the donkey.

The top part of the image panel was covered with paper then Pine Elements Ink was brushed horizontally over the torn edge on the cardstock scrap onto the image panel to create a grassy pasture. The scrap was moved down and Pine Elements Ink was again brushed over the torn edge. This was repeated until the there were several horizontal green grassy lines across the base of the image panel. Lime Punch Elements Ink was brushed onto the grass to fill in any white space and to blend with the darker green.

The grass stamp from the Bah Humbug Clear Polymer Stamp Set by Hobby Art Ltd. was inked with Pine Elements Ink and randomly stamped onto the grassy background. Pine Elements Ink was brushed under the grass to ground it and create some shadow.

The mask was lifted and retained for another use. The donkey was colored with Copic markers. White gel pen was used to add catchlights to his eyes. 

The bell from the Get Your Goat Clear Polymer Stamp Set by Hobby Art Ltd. was stamped with Copic friendly ink onto a scrap of white cardstock, fussy-cut, colored with Copic markers, and edged with a black pen. A stabby tool was used to pierce the bell hanger and to add a hole to the right side of the donkey's neck. Red thread was threaded through the hole, across the donkey's neck, and through the hole in the bell hanger.

The image panel was edged with  Pine and Della Blue Elements Inks using Blenders by Lavinia Stamps

Paprika Elements Inks by Lavinia Stamps was used to ink the Abstract 12 Red Rubber Cling Stamp by Darkroom Door which was stamped onto both sides of a kraft panel. The panel was then edged with Paprika Elements Ink using a Blender by Lavinia Stamps and adhered to a 5 x 7 kraft card.

Paprika Elements Ink was used to ink a sentiment stamp from the Whatchamacallit Unmounted Red Rubber Stamp Set  by Katzelkraft, which was stamped onto kraft cardstock, die-cut, then edged with the same ink.

The image panel was adhered to the card, then the sentiment die-cut was adhered to finish the card.

Hogs and Kisses with Hobby Arts

    Hi Everyone,

Cornelia here today! 

This week it's anything goes. A good way to increase my Christmas card pile!

I fell in love with those cute Hobby Arts stamps the moment I saw them! I did a half ass no line coloring technique, using markers and Inktense pencils. Added a lot of snow splatter and some Stickles to the tree and hat. As so often, a simple one layer card.

Life is good with Hobby Arts

     Hi Everyone,

Cornelia her today! 

This week we are showcasing Hobby Arts stamps. They make really fun stamps - if you don't know them, you might want to check them out!

I used the set Funky Chicken. I stamped the chicken and colored them with Inktense and markers. I used a stitched round die to cut the yellow panel and lined it up with the chicken. I heat embossed the sentiment and added it with foam tape.
