PaperArtsy Tracy Scott Grand Flower

Hello friends! Ericka from Strangely Creative here and today I have a colored pencil card I made using this gorgeous PaperArtsy Tracy Scott 88 stamp. I love this big floral and had so much fun coloring it up.

I stamped the flower and leaves with Versafine Clair ink and used some Faber Castel pencils to color it up. I added some shadows and then stamped the PaperArtsy Alison Bomber Live and Living set.

I finished my card by adding a hand-drawn border around my card. Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!

PaperArtsy Stencil Card

Hello crafty friends! Ericka with Strangely Creative here and today I am coloring up the PaperArtsy Tracy Scott stencil PS388. I love this large stencil and used a pencil to trace it. I then used my colored pencils and colored up the areas.

After I was done coloring up the shapes, I used a black paint pen and traced around the shapes to help them pop. I added the sentiment from the AALL & Create Bite Me Black Ephemera to complete my card and add a little snark.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Pink Ink Designs Christmas Baubles

Hello crafty friends! Ericka from Strangely Creative here with one last Christmas card. It's been a stressful week getting ready for the Christmas and the last week of school/teaching before the holiday break. So many presents to make/buy, parties to organize, and small kids to calm down lol. I found a little time this weekend to do some relaxing coloring to de-stress.

I started by stamping the Pink Ink Designs Bauble stamp on paper with light ink so I could do some no-line coloring with my colored pencils. This is such a pretty and large Bauble that I made it into a slimline card in order to use all the details.

I finished the card by stamping the included Christmas sentiment and then used my same colored pencils to trace it to make it look handwritten.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you are enjoying the season and find some time to relax.

IndigoBlu with Gel Press Background

Hello everyone! Ericka from Strangely Creative here with a card using the IndigoBlu Coulor Me Cone-head Daisy. I love this pretty stamp and decided to use it with a gel press background I made with PaperArtsy Fresco Paints in Bubble Gum, Cerise, and Electric Violet.

I stamped the image and heat embossed it in Glassy Dream embossing powder which is included in the WOW! Embossing Trio Dockside set. I then used my colored pencils to color up the image. I wanted to add some more definition to the image so pulled out my white gel pen and traced around the embossing.

I used white embossing powder and the included sentiment to finish of my card. Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend. Here are the Topflight Stamps supplies I used to create my card. Use my coupon code "StrangelyCreative" to receive 12% off your purchase.

Pick of the Patch

Happy Friday Topflight Stamp Fans! Ericka here with a cute Halloween card using Polkadoodles Pick of the Patch. I love this little set and the mouse is so cute!

This set comes with only one mouse, but he or she was very easy to mask off so I could put them in the pumpkin as well as the shoe they came in.

There are so many other cards you can also make with this set. I can't wait to use just the pumpkin for a clean and simple card and the candy and leaves are fun additions.

For more information on how I created my card, feel free to stop by my blog Strangely Creative. Until then, I hope you have a wonderful weekend and thanks for stopping by.

You Are the Wind Beneath My Wings

Welcome to the Topflight Stamps Blog!

We are welcoming Kristina Song aka Craftypaws to our Design Team this week. Here's a little more about Kristina.

I started crafting actively as a kind of therapy when I hit the re-set button on my life and career for health reasons back in 2013. Since then I have never looked back. I love the flow of never-ending learning and the incredibly encouraging global crafting community.

In addition to crafting, my other loves are my super supportive hubby, Mr. CraftyPaws (we're celebrating out 10th wedding anniversary this year), and our two dogs, Biscuit (a 17 year old Miniature Poodle) and Bandito (a 5 year old Havanese).

As for style, I generally lean toward Clean and Simple (CAS) or Cutsie, but I don't limit myself. I most often make cards, but I also enjoy painting, mixed media, alter projects, ATCs...well anything that suits my fancy at the moment! Crafting surprisingly helps me relax and focus at the same time, which I think helps my health and overall happiness.

Hi Topflight Stamps fans! Kristina CraftyPaws here with my first design team project. I'm thrilled to be part of this team and representing one of my all-time favorite craft stores that brings awesome international stamps to the U.S. Before I share my first card, I thought I'd share a little about my crafting style. I'm eclectic, in that I love and try all styles and types of crafting, but I lean heavily toward CAS and Cutsie card making. I'm an avid animal lover, especially dogs, so they are often featured in my paper crafting.

For my first project, I decided to create a Valentines card using the Carabelle-Studio Art Stamp called 3 Oiseaux (3 Birds). I printed out the sentiment: "You are the wind beneath my wings." from my computer and then stamped out the whimsical flying bird with a heart-shaped breast with Momento Tuxedo Black Ink.

 Carabelle Studio: 3 Oiseaux

Then I Copic colored the bird and the surrounding air/wind. To add a little deeper, detailed coloring in the nooks and crannies of the swirling air around the bird, I also used a couple of Prismacolor color pencils. For a little magical shimmer on the love bird, I coated her with Clear Wink of Stella. To help the darker areas of the bird pop, I added some dotting details with a Uniball Signo White Gel Pen. I also added a dimensional shine on the eyes, beak and legs of the bird with Glossy Accents. Lastly, for a finishing touch on the card front, I glued on a smattering of sequins topped with tiny dots of Ranger Liquid Pearls in Platinum.

Thanks so much for joining me for my first design team project here at Topflight Stamps! I am really looking forward to sharing with you all the many ideas currently whirling around in my head. If you'd like more details about the colors or products I used on this card, please visit me at my CraftyPaws Blog HERE.
