Hi Topflight fans! CraftyPaws here today to share how I created an Artist Trading Card series ("ATCs") with an Alice in Wonderland theme. ATCs are always 2.5" x 3.5", just like baseball cards, and they are collected and traded by crafters and artists.
I used stamps from Carabelle Studio's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland as my focal images. I Copic colored the Alice and the White Rabbit and I fussy cut them out to pop up and layer on top of two of the ATCs.
For the backgrounds I started with some Strathmore watercolor paper that I cut down in long strips of 3.5" and 11". Then for a fun faux wood grain look, I used PaperArtsy Infusions powders in The Sage and Lemoncello along with some Ken Oliver Color Burst powder in Ultramarine Blue with Liquitex Matte Medium (I've seen folks use glaze medium for this, but I didn't have that and this matte medium seemed to be a good substitute).
I stamped out some of the hearts or heart sections from the Carabelle Studio Follow Your Heart stamp set onto remaining scraps of the background stained papers and fussy cut them out for layering pieces. I also used the sentiment from this set on the Alice ATCs. To create visual texture and interest, I also used a DecoArt Any Skinner Tornado stencil with some Brilliance pigment ink behind the White Rabbit, doodled in some line details and squiggly framing lines and some smaller hearts with Sharpie markers on two of the ATCs, and added highlights with a Uniball Signo white gel pen on all three ATCs.
Thanks for joining me today for this ATC series share featuring Carabelle Studio. If you'd like more product details or to see a process video of me creating these ATCs please check out my CraftyPaws blog HERE.

Crazy In Love with DIY Action Wobble
Welcome to the Topflight Stamps Blog! CraftyPaws here with a fun, interactive Valentines card. This card was inspired by the Beyonce song, "Crazy in Love" and the silly heart-shaped bird with the spiraling eyes from the Carabelle-Studio "3 Oiseaux" stamp set that made me think of the all-encompassing crazy feeling of falling in love.
I Copic colored up the bird in a bright red and then added a coating of Glossy Accents over the beak, claws and eyes for some shine. I also added some flecks with a Uniball Signo White Gel Pen to make the feathers pop. Then I thought I could emphasize that mad, unstable feeling of falling in love by attaching the bird to an action wobble (how to make a DIY action wobble in my blog linked below).
I wanted a Valentines themed background, but I didn't want to distract from the crazy, love-sick bird, so I used three of the stamps from the Carabelle-Studio Follow Your Heart stamp set but did not add any color to them. Instead, I added some subtle dimension and shine to parts of these background images using a Tsukineko VersaMarker and clear embossing powder for some heat embossing.
For finishing touches, I inked the edges of the card front with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Black Soot, glued on a handful of sequins topped with Ebony glitter glue for sparkle and interest, and I even splattered on some diluted black acrylic paint for a light grungy look.
Thanks so much for joining me today here at Topflight Stamps! If you'd like more details about how to make a DIY action wobble or any of the products I used for this card, please visit me at my CraftyPaws Blog HERE.

Follow Your Heart......
Welcome to the Topflight Stamps Blog!
We are welcoming Barbara to our design team. Here's a little about Barbara.
Hi, I’m Barbara from just outside of the world heritage city of Bath, UK. I live with my partner Alan and German Shepherd, Finn......happily, our family live very close by
I’ve always loved crafting, and have done most different crafts, but cardmaking is my favourite. I don’t have a particular style, but do lean towards stamping and using bright colours of inks, paints, chalks etc. However, I’m just as happy doing ‘clean & simple’ . I’m really looking forward to joining the rest of the Topflight Stamps DT and sharing my creations.
Hi everyone, Barbara here with my very first post for
I'm very happy to be part of the design team, and look forward to sharing my creations with you.
I live in a tiny town in the South West of the UK, just outside of the World Heritage City of Bath.

I don't have a particular style of cardmaking, but seem to lean towards throwing lots of bright inks, paint and chalks at most of my work......although I do still LOVE 'clean & simple' with a little bit of mixed media thrown in 😉
Anyway, enough waffle.... my first creation started with a piece of watercolour card stock which I inked with 5 colours of Distress Oxides.
Using a set of fabulous stamps from Carabelle Studio called 'Follow Your Heart'
I stamped the main image onto the card, then again onto an inky scrap. After cutting out the second image, I stuck a bit of muslin underneath then adhered the image on top.
