It's Tuesday which means you've got Kathi here to share a project with you! This week the TFS team's theme is Winter or Christmas. I've satisfied both criteria by creating a snowy holiday card using four of the adorable Zini Mini Cling Rubber Stamp Sets by Elena Zinski for PaperArtsy with a sentiment from the Snow Globe Clear Stamp Set by Jane's Doodles.
Here it is!
I started the card by stamping the post box, the four houses, and the street light on the right with black ink onto white cardstock and onto repositionable label paper.
The label paper versions were fussy-cut and placed over their counterparts. The street light on the left was then stamped over the mask as shown. It was also stamped onto repositionable label paper, fussy-cut, and placed over its counterpart.
The flattest hill mask from the Acetate Hills Masks by Lavinia Stamps was placed horizontally slightly above the base of the houses, covering the bottom portion of the image panel. Stormy Sky Distress Ink was brushed the top portion of the image panel to create the sky.
The Acetate Hills Mask was removed and a ruler was placed horizontally covering 1" of the base of the image panel.
Post-It Notes were placed on a diagonal from each house's door or the steps and Pumice Stone Distress Ink was brushed over the Post-It Note onto the image panel to create paths from the houses to the sidewalk.
The ruler was shifted to cover the pathways and Pumice Stone Distress Ink was brushed over the ruler to the base of the image panel to create the sidewalk.
All the masks were lifted and reserved for another use. The houses, post box, streetlights, lawn, and stairs were colored with Copic markers.
A paint pen and the Gelly Roll Bold Line Stardust Clear Glittering Ink Pen by Sakura were used to add snow to the lawn, streetlights, post box, paths, sidewalk, and houses.
Dots of Gelly Roll Bold Line Stardust Clear Glittering Ink Pen was added to the windows and spread with BG Copic markers.
Snowflake Fresco Finish Chalk Acrylic Paint by PaperArtsy was misted with water, then used to splatter the image panel with "snow".
The image panel was trimmed, matted with blue cardstock, and adhered to a white card.
Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink by Tsukineko was used to stamp the "Peace, Love, and Joy" sentiment from the Snow Globe Clear Stamp Set by Jane's Doodles onto a blue die-cut.
The sentiment die-cut was adhered to finish the card.
