Meow!

Greetings! It's Tuesday so you've got Kathi here to share a project with you. This week my teammates and I are focusing on Studio Light's wonderful products. When I saw the Cat Gentleman Clear Stamp, my inner vintage-Steampunk-grunge loving crazy cat lady heart knew I had to have it.

Here it is!

This card was created in two parts — the image panel and the background panel.

Stamp the Cat Gentleman twice with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink–– once onto white cardstock and once onto repositionable sticker paper.

Color the Cat Gentleman and the background with Copic markers. Fussy-cut the sticker paper version of the Cat Gentleman and place it over its counterpart as a mask. Pounce black, silver, and gold/black ink over the masked image to add that important grunge factor. Use a slimline die to cut the image panel and set it aside.

To create the background, cut a piece of Bristol Paper to 4.25" wide. Smoosh Della Blue Elements Ink onto a piece of acetate, use a Fine Spray Mister to mist with water, then press the inky acetate onto the Bristol Paper to apply the ink.Heat set the background. Clean the acetate.

Repeat the smooshing onto acetate with Mermaid, then Sundance, and then Confetti Elements Inks until you're happy with the background. Thoroughly heat set the background panel.

Use Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink to stamp the Vintage Clocks Clear Stamp facedown along the top left side of the image panel. Heat set the panel.

Use Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink to stamp the paw print stamps from the Meow Small Clear Stamp Set onto the empty areas of the background panel. Heat set.

Adhere the background panel to the front of a black slimline card. Edge the card with the goldish black ink.

Using a stamping platform,  stamp "Meow" from the Meow Small Clear Stamp Set with gold black ink onto a small piece of Bristol Paper. Heat set with clear detail embossing powder. Return the sentiment piece to the stamping platform, re-ink the stamp with gold black ink, and heat emboss with clear detail embossing powder again.

Use a flag die to cut the sentiment. Edge the sentiment die-cut with gold black ink, Adhere the sentiment to finish the card.
