Happy Birthday with AALL & Create

Hello Crafties, Mary Key here! Just a reminder check out the Topflight Birthday Blog Hop and others on Instagram, you can win!

For my Happy Birthday card, Used AAll & Create #964 Girl Birthday, #962 Boy Birthday and #660 Texture Sampler, all by Janet Klein. I had fun making this cute card. Also, supplies I used are Lavina Dinkles - Sea Blue, Yellow, Lime Divine, and Pine Green along with some watercolor paper.

I first stamped my images and did some watercoloring using my watercolor brushes and then did some fussy cutting.

I then used first Lavinia Dinkles Sea Blue (only a little goes a long way) onto my matt. First I spritz a little water onto my mat and used a fan brush to sprinkle a little of the color and a little more spritzing some water. I smooshed just the top and drying my watercolor paper with my heat embossing gun. I lttle more color and heat again. Then I used Dinkles Yellow (same process) and lastly a little Dinkles Lime Divine and a lttle of Dinkles Pine Green to get a little darker green.

I then stamped the little flags in Versafine Clair - Nocturne and then fussy cut the little flags that were colored already and glued; then I started with the #660 Texture Sampler and sorted onto my cardstock panel and cut some areas and glue it. Then used foam tape to raise my boy and girl. I used the sentiment from #964 Girl Birthday (it has the same Happy Birthday for the Boy Birthday) in Versafine Clair Nocturne

Here is the completed card on white cardstock. I had fun watercoloring, smooshing and fussy cutting these cute stamped images.

Thank you for stopping by and keep crafting!

Tracy Evans Poppies for AALL and Create

Now for today's inspiration...  Hi friends!  It's Autumn Clark from SewPaperPaint with you today to share a few slimline cards featuring the gorgeous Poppy Seedheads stamp by Tracy Evans for AALL & Create.  I have been itching to use this gorgeous stamp and finally sat down to some good old inky fun.

I used different combinations of Distress Inks to make my backgrounds and to watercolor the poppies.  I cut them out and mounted them for dimension.

I wanted to tie the red from the poppies in another way, so I stamped a portion of one of my all time favorite AALL & Create stamps, Enumerated by Olga Heldwein and cut it with postal edge scissors.  I popped it up and added a twine bow and snippet of label tape.  These were fun to make!  I hope they've inspired you to have a play.  Hugs, Autumn

AALL & Create Tracy Evans Hare Tissue Stamping Technique

Happy Monday!  It's Autumn Clark from SewPaperPaint with you today to share a fun mixed media technique turned encouragement card.  I am absolutely in love with Tracy Evans' new Hare stamp!  I really wanted to use him repeatedly on the same project and the more I thought about it, the more I decided I wanted to use the tissue paper stamping technique so I could point him in different directions.

I simply stamped three rabbits onto tissue paper (the kind for gift wrap) in permanent black ink over a piece of scrap paper (to absorb any excess ink).  I dried with my heat tool.  Then I painted two images on reverse side with PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Chalk Acrylics over my glass mat (because the tissue would stick to paper) and the third image on the front side.  The colors I used were CaramelNougatSlate and Blush.  Once the painted images were dried, I outlined them with water on a brush so I could tear away the excess tissue paper.  Then I used ModPodge to adhere them to a gel printed panel.  This close up details shows how well the tissue "melts" into the background.  It is a great way to layer images without masking.  Finally, I added some gold embossing with the Roundly stamp and watery drips of more Blush Frescos.  The sentiment is a sticker.

I hope this post has given you some fresh ideas and made you want to play!  Visit Topflight Stamps today to see all of the new AALL & Create stamps!  Hugs, Autumn

AALL & Create and Studio Light - 'Coloring' with Glossy Accents

Hi Everyone and welcome to the Topflight Stamps blog!  It's Jenny here, and today I'm showing you a technique that is super quick, and can be used to create pretty, clean and simple cards.

It uses a fun and sketchy stamp by AALL & Create, an awesome brand Topflight carries.  While this one isn't currently in stock, there's some others that are very similar, and perfect for this technique.

To create my card, I trimmed down some patterned paper from a selection by Studio Light - this paper has subtle colors and texture throughout and is great for quick backgrounds.   I arranged the stamps from the set on my stamp positioner and then stamped them directly onto the patterned paper panel in Versamark clear embossing ink.

I heat embossed the hearts with with Rose Gold embossing powder and then colored them in with a clear Wink of Stella. I adhered the panel to a white notecard and then coated the hearts with Glossy Accents. This really magnifies the sparkle underneath as well as any pattern on the paper.

Finally, I stamped the sentiment in Versamark onto black cardstock, heat embossed in white and popped up on foam tape over the card panel.

Hope you like it!  Be sure to check out the full AALL & Create range and Studio Light patterned paper over at Topflight, they're unusual and fun!
