Visible Image Shining Star

 

Hello crafty friends! Ericka at Strangely Creative here and today I am playing with the new Visible Image Shining Star stamp set along with the Super Star stencil. I started off by using temporary double sided tape to the inner portion of the Super Star stencil and blending Salvage Patina and Uncharted Mariner distress oxide ink on my background.

I then switched out the stencil and used the outer portion to blend distress oxide inks in Mustard Seed, Wild Honey, and Ripe Persimmon.

I let the ink dry and then I stamped the Visible Image Shining Star and clear sparkle embossed it. I took embossing paste and used the stencil to add the lines onto my star image. While the paste was still wet, I used Vintage Gold WOW! Embossing Golden Vintage Lace. When the paste was dry, I used my heat gun to melt the powder.

A Guy Card with Visible Image

Hi, Connie here with a guy card using Visible Image for
Topflight Stamps.  I don't do to many guy cards but
the stamps I'm using scream "tough guy".  Take a look~
see what I mean! 

I kept it pretty simple on this one.  Stencils, stamps and ink got
it done. The inks used are Archival and Distress Oxide. Dimensional
adhesive is used to pop up the car and our "tough guy". The stencil I
used called Words of Support was perfect to create word strips for 
the top right corner.

The Sunrays Stencil by Craft Emotions worked so well behind
the skyline stamp.  To complete the card watered down blue Distress
Oxide was speckled on the card front.

Crafty Indivduals Snowy Christmas Card

Happy Friday! Ericka here and today I'm continuing the theme using Crafty Individual stamp Festively Ornamental.  

I love these beautiful snowflakes and decided to create a Distress Oxide ink background using Antique Linen, Salvage Patina, Blueprint Sketch, and Prize Ribbon. I then splattered water on the background and lifted off the ink. Once my background was dry, I stamped the snowflakes from the Crafty Individuals and heat embossed them with the WOW! Embossing Trio Alchemy by Seth Apter. I love this beautiful silver sparkle embossing blend.

I used the sentiment from the Craft Emotions Christmas Gift set and clear embossed it.

Card Making with Crafty Indivuals

Hi, Connie here with a vintage inspired card using the Tea at Three
stamp set by Crafty Individuals.  It is a soft take on a vintage 
print I recently came across.

It is doubled matted on gray corrugated cardstock.  I love the pop that it 
gives to the card front.  The background stamp used, for the card,
 is the Counting Down stamp also so by Crafty Individuals. The background 
is stamped with Prism Ink/ Slate Grey, for a faded out look.
The focal image is lightly painted with Distress Oxide Ink/Bundled Sage.
The sentiment is included on the focal stamp and I cut it down to
make a word strip and then adhered it to the front of the card.  Torn black
cardstock is placed behind the word strip.

Falling Snowflakes Border by Darkroom Door

Hi, Connie here with two cards created using the NEW 
Falling Snowflakes Border Stamp by Darkroom Door.  I also
threw in a couple stencils. They make a great focal image
for your cards.

This first thing to do is the part that will the longest to do :):) and 
that is the embossing of the snowflakes.  I used Distress Oxide inks and 
created a light dark background using blue color tones.  Then I embossed
the Snowflakes with WOW / Opaque Bright White embossing powder. 
Then I tore the paper making two borders.  They are long like the stamp
so you will have enough embossed snowflake paper to make two cards.

Once you have your border pieces ready just set them aside
and stamp the words (center) using the Christmas
Word Block Stamp.  I stamped the center section using 
Distress Oxide / Prize Ribbon.  Love the color!!
The center section was adhered to a folded white card
base and then the border pieces were added with
dimensional adhesive.  Next step~

Stencil the focal images with the same ink you used for the 
Word block Stamp. Trim it out and add to the card front with
dimensional adhesive.  Emboss the sentiment and add it to the 
card front to complete the card.

One more thing ~ add the Made For You By stamp to the
back of your cards and be sure to sign your name.  That's
the BEST part.

Watson Elephant by Katzelkraft

Hi, Connie here with a fun card using the fun Watson Elephant by Katzelkraft.
The background, for the card, is using another fun stamp by 
Paperartsy and Sara Naumann called ESN 45.  I thought
these two stamp sets paired together really well.

The background is created using Distress Oxide inks and some texture
paste. That is always fun to create with!! Love the dimension that texture
paste adds to a project.  

Watson Elephant is colored with Distress Oxide grey ink, then 
trimmed out and added to the card front.  I stamped randomly with
the ESN 45 set and the Les Nombres by Katzelkraft. Another really neat
stamp set to enhance a card background.  Giving a fun mixed media style!!

The sentiment is embossed with Opaque Bright White by WOW, trimmed
out in word strips and added to the card front.  I used dimensional
adhesive to give a pop to the focal images. Twine was added at
the bottom of the card.  This is about a 5"x5" size card.

Celebrate Christmas with Darkroom Door

Hi, Connie here with a mixed media type Christmas card using
six different Darkroom Door stamps/sets along with some
clear embossing powder.  If you love the distressed look, this 
is a fun project for you. 

This is a 5"X5" card.  The snowflakes are clear embossed,
creating a resist.  I used two color combos of Distressed Oxide
ink to get the blue distressed sky look. 

The tree is stamped with Distress Oxide, trimmed out and then speckled
with water.  The funky border is the Abstract 09 stamp. I really
love what it brings to a project!  The other enhancements are
stamped with Archival ink and trimmed out.

I used dimensional adhesive to pop up the images (Santa,
sleigh and the numbers).  The sentiment is two different stamps
that are stamped out creating the sentiment.  I love the script 
and print together!!

The card is speckled with white acrylic paint (using an old
toothbrush), to complete the card front.  Adhere to a folded
card base.
