Happy Friday! Ericka from Strangely Creative here with some mixed media tags I created to celebrate the Topflight Stamps Birthday. Make sure to check out the Blog Hop here and the chance to win some great prizes.
I love the look of mixed media and for my tags I started with some deli paper I had used as a pallet to apply PaperArty Fresco Acrylics to my gel press. I had been working with two different tones and so had both a warm pallet with Blood Orange, Peach Nectar, and Peachy Keen. My other pallet consisted of Cerulean and Pea Coat.
I stamped the Darkroom Door Abstract 07, 08, and the Number Medley with Versafine Clair Nocturn ink randomly on my dried paint pallets. I also had an old book page I used on my tag. I tore pieces of my deli paper and arranged them on my tag.
I stamped and heat embossed my tag with WOW! Earl Grey which has a beautiful sparkle. I then watercolored up my Eclectic cupcake and used the water on the frosting to heat emboss it with the same powder for additional sparkle. I stamped the Darkroom Door Birthday Celebrations stamp to include on the top of my tag.
I added some AALL & Create washi tape to the bottom of my blue cupcake as well as some clear texture paste with the Darkroom Door Diamonds stencil and added some more embossing powder.
I finished my tags by adding the cupcakes with foam tape.
Thanks for stopping by and check out our Instagram account for a short video showing my process.
