Greetings! It's Kathi here to share two cards created with the new Arty Squares Collage Red Rubber Cling Stamp by Darkroom Door.
Here's the first card which is rather bright. It also uses Darkroom Door's Coffee Time Red Rubber Cling Stamps and Grid Background Red rubber Cling Stamp by Darkroom Door.
This background for this card was started using the 2" Speedball Brayer to apply Sundance Elements Ink to the 5" x 7" Gel Press, then pulling the print on mixed media cardstock. VersaMark ink was used to stamp the Arty Squares Collage Red Rubber Cling Stamp onto the yellow background. Black Detail Embossing Powder was applied, the excess was dumped off, then the panel was embossed.
A wet paintbrush was used to remove the yellow ink from the Arty Squares and the piece was heat set.
Sundance, Confetti, Mermaid, Pine, Russet Orange Elements Inks were used as watercolors. The lid of the ink pad was squeezed onto the pad which deposited ink on the inside of lid. The ink was misted with water, then applied to the Arty Squares Collage with paint brushes.
The image panel was trimmed, distressed with a scissor blade, and matted on black cardstock.
Onyx Black VersaFine Ink by Tsukineko was used to stamp the cup and saucer from the Coffee Time Red Rubber Cling Stamp Set onto the left over piece of yellow Gel printed mixed media paper. The coffee cup and saucer were fussy-cut. Chalk pencils were used to add shading to the cup and a black pen was used to edge the coffee cup and saucer combo.
A piece of yellow cardstock was used to create a 5" x 7" card. Onyx Black VersaFine Ink was used to stamp the Grid Background Red Rubber Cling Stamp on the base of the card.
Here's the second card which uses Darkroom Door's Arty Squares Collage Red Rubber Cling Stamp with the coordinating Arty Squares Small Stencil. I also used the Bottles Red Rubber Cling Stamps by Darkroom Door and a sentiment from the Rise Up Clear Border Stamp #490 by Janet Klein for AALL and Create.
I started this card stamping the Arty Squares Collage Red Rubber Cling Stamp with Onyx Black VersaFine Ink onto mixed media cardstock. Bermuda Elements Ink was used to stamp one of the bottles from the Bottles Red Rubber Cling Stamp Set onto the background and onto a Post-It Note, which was fussy-cut. A ruler was placed horizontally and Distress ink was sponged over the top of the image. The ruler was moved to cover the top part of the image and darker Distress ink was sponged over the bottom of the image panel.
The Arty Squares Small Stencil was placed over the image panel and the same Distress ink was sponged over the stencil into the squares, which deepened the color.
Bermuda Elements Ink was used as a watercolor to color the bottle. My original plan was to use Darkroom Door's Tall Flowers Stencil in the bottle. However, I seemed to have hallucinated its purchase and/or misplaced it. So I stamped a small flower with Sundance Elements Ink, then watercolored it with Sundance and Henna Elements Inks. A watercolor marker was used to add the flower stem.
Bermuda Elements Ink was used to stamp the sentiment from the Rise Up Clear Border Stamp #490 as shown.
