Mushroom Monday

It must be mushroom Monday! The Topflight Stamps team will be featuring creations using Katzelkraft products this week. This is Rachel from rwkrafts and I instantly fell in love with the Mushroom set from Katzelkraft

I created some notecards with the mushrooms. I was really inspired by the artwork on the packaging, so I decided to watercolor the stamps using some Distress Inks. I love how realistic the images turned out!

I fussy cut the mushrooms and adhered them to an inky background. Some of the mushrooms I heat embossed with Wow! Embossing powder in Magic Metallic

While I loved the realistic mushrooms, I just had to throw in some rainbows!

Are you team rainbow or team realistic mushroom? For this notecard I also heat embossed the Katzelkraft Waterfall stamp using the Wow! Magic Metallic. The 'hello' sentiment is stamped in blue ink from the Time for Tea - Happy Mail Critters set.

Replace Fear with Curiosity - Art Journal + Video

Happy Saturday, everyone! I hope you've carved out some time for yourself to make something creative. This is Rachel Kleinman from rwkrafts and I'll be sharing a colorful art journal page with you all today. I also have a process video linked at the end.

I started with a messy brushing of Paper Artsy Fresco paint in Zesty Zing and Bubble Gum. While the paint was still damp, I placed the AALL & Create Hung Up on Hearts stencil over the page and wiped up some paint with a baby wipe. I also used the stencil to spray Prism Spray in Glamour Gold. Once all of that was dry, I used the same stencil with Paper Artsy paint in Bora Bora.

I added some collage paper and messy stamping of the AALL & Create Poppy Seedhead stamp to the background. I also stamped the Poppy Seedhead onto thick white cardstock, painted the main parts of the image with the same Paper Artsy paints plus London Bus. I then fussy cut the poppies and glued to the page.

To finish off the page I added black marks with a marker and black splatter from Prism Spray in Midnight Black. Lastly, I added the sticker quote "Replace fear of the unknown with curiosity."

Thanks for joining me!

Creating a PaperArtsy Gel Press Card

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you all are having a wonderful week and are looking forward to a great weekend. Ericka from Strangely Creative here with a card I created from an old book page, a gel press, and some fantastic PaperArtsy fresco acrylic paints and stamps.

I had previously made background using PaperArtsy Fresco Paints in Cerulean, Byzantium, and Bubble Gum. To add some texture to my background, I used the PaperArtsy JOFY PS230 stencil with Distressed Crayon in Ground Espresso. I then took the PaperArtsy Seth Apter 25 set and stamped in white and Mulberry ink

Taking the PaperArtsy Tracy Scott PS226 stencil, I traced and colored in the leaf with a black pen. I then added the script stamp from the PaperArtsy Seth Apter 25 set in white ink to add some more interest to my background. I also highlighted the leaf with a gel pen.

To finish my card, I used a sentiment from PaperArtsy Alison Bomber Life & Living set and cut it down to strips.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful weekend and have a chance to create something.

Pink Ink Designs Diver Mouse

      Hi Everyone,

Cornelia here today!
This week it's anything goes at the blog.

I recently discovered those cute little mouse stamps by Pink Ink Designs in the store. Could not pass them.... Besides, I love making under water scenes. Such an adorable little creature!
This card actually was a fair amount of "work". I colored the mouse and fish with Copics and cut them out.

Used one of my old gel press backgrounds and stamped the mouse and fish again. Glued on the colored ones. Made the port hole with some generic round dies and a little round punch. The outer ring I cut three times and glued it together for more dimension. I used bronze shimmer paper, but then I found it a bit too dark and wiped Inka Gold over it, once it was assembled.

Glued everything onto wood paper. Added the heat embossed sentiment. Lastly I added Crystal Laquer onto the goggles.

I hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting.
See you next week with more Topflight Stamps inspiration.

Don't stop playing by Charmaine Canham

I planned on making a journal page using these adorable stamps,
but then I decided to make a mini journal page and
turned that into a  greeting card instead.

I stamped two Darkroom Door - Frame Stamp - Spiral Notebook images.
This will serve as the journal with two
pieces glued to one another.

Stamp and cut out two girls from
Carabelle Studio - Rubber Cling Stamp Set A6 - Face It - Kate Crane .
I colored them with Copic Markers.

I like to use washi tape and acrylic paint in
 my journals; decorate one side.
Use your fingers to apply the paint. PLAY!

with Versafine Onyx Black. Also,
adhere the two girls to the page on the left.

Place the now one-piece journal onto an
A2 card base a little lopsided.
Cut off all the edges. And you are done.

A quick and fun card that took about 25 minutes to make.

Talk soon,

Charmaine
