Greetings! It's Tuesday so you've got Kathi here to share a project with you. I love birds and I love Steampunk, so I'm sharing a card created with the Steampunk Bird Cling Mounted Stamp Set by Indigo Blu, Bell Flower Vine Clear Polymer Stamp by Lavinia Stamps, the Industrial Elements 6x6 Stencil by Paper Rose, and a sentiment from the Gear Up and Some Assembly Required Clear Polymer Stamp Set by Hobby Art Ltd.
Here it is!
As per my usual method, I stamped the bird with black ink onto white cardstock and onto repositionable label paper. The label paper bird was fussy-cut and placed atop its counterpart on the image panel.
A clear ruler was placed horizontally over the base of the image panel to ground the bird's wheels. Blue Copic-friendly ink was sponged over a cloud stencil, then grey Copic-friendly ink was sponged over the the Industrial Elements 6x6 Stencil by Paper Rose onto the image panel. The ruler was moved and grey ink was sponged over the base of the image panel to color the white, then again over the vertical lines part of the stencil to add some visual interest.
Since the bird needed something to see and smell, The Bell Flower Vine Clear Polymer Stamp by Lavinia Stamps was stamped along the right side with black ink.
The mask was lifted and retained for another use and the images were colored with Copic markers. Several layers of Clear Glaze pen were used to add dimension and shine to the rivets on the image.
Morning Mist VersaFine Clair Ink by Tsukineko was used to stamp the sentiment from the Gear Up and Some Assembly Required Clear Polymer Stamp Set by Hobby Art Ltd.
